I have travelled to many countries and this place has given me the best cocktail I have had in my life. The drunken mistress is a cocktail they serve. It’s absolutely out of the world. Spectacular flavours and they serve it in a soup bowl! The atmosphere is amazingly aesthetic and feels like a movie set almost. Really cozy and the food is amazing too. By far one of the best places I have been to, globally.

The food is delicate, small servings but tasty and fancy looking. It’s a little pricy but overall good value for money. Perfect for pre- or post dinner fusion food/drinks. They have unique, Chinese alcohol-based cocktails and the western classics. It’s a place where you come more for the experience rather then you’re weekly night out.

We went there only for the restaurant. Nice atmosphere and decoration. Well- executed cocktails. Delicious Chinese oriented food in small portion. Friendly and helpful service. Highly recommended if you are in this area.

Not the best option for me. I appreciated their uniqueness and creativity. However, the tastes were still not not there yet to me while most of the menu were overly priced. The cocktail was a lot better than the food, would have given at least 1 more star if I ordered only the drinks.

Nice ambience, love all the tiny details of Chinese elements of this bar. It's comfortable to chill here at night near Chinatown.

Arrived around 5:30PM without a reservation so we were told to wait at the bar for a table. The hostess told us she would seat us around 6:30 (or 7 at the latest). We waited until 7:05 before asking the hostess if we could get a table, but she told us they’re busy and tables wouldn’t free up until 9 or 10 PM. I’m not sure if it was miscommunication from the get go… but felt strange that staff let us sit at the bar for that long without checking-in on us. So we ended up eating at the bar. Otherwise, the food was delicious - very flavourful! We ordered the general Tao and the pork belly (too fatty for my liking). General Tao was amazing! Vibe is cute! Live music started around 7.

Okay, where do I start. I wouldn’t think I would use such words to describe a place in Chinatown Bangkok, but unfortunately it turned out to be one targeting western hipsters who’s after decently tasting food and some vibes. Food has not delivered on any expectation whatsoever. We ordered scallion pancake (2 out of 5, very dry), drunken chicken (2.5 out of 5, not flavorful enough, too plain, not salty enough), beef dumplings (pretty good to be fair, 4 our of 5), and caramelized pork belly (to save the day on what would be a 3 out of 5 day anyways, but really good, 5 out of 5 for this one). Anyways, there are so many places to check around the area that I would honestly skip this one, especially for the price tag, folks.

Amazing residence and amazing restaurant. The rooms are truly beautiful, silent (despite that lovely street being also lively) — and they have the most amazing helper. About the restaurant… needless to say, favourite spot in Bangkok after three visits now. 10/10 cocktails. Ba Hao is probably one of my favourite places in the world.

Flawless. Everything was absolutely perfect, the food is so tasty and you could sip these cocktails for hours. I highly recommend the pork Mandus, it was so delicious with the pao on the side. The place is very cosy, the music a bit loud. You should make a reservation because there is few tables available.

We go there for a drink and to eat something small. Definitely worth to try. Interesting drinks and tasty food. Bar is quite small this is why I would recommend to make a reservation but if you are close you should try.

We were expecting good cocktails based on the reviews we'd read, however, i ordered a negroni and it came with no campari (or equivalent) in it, this is then, not a negroni. We also ordered the pork belly, which was tasty but had too much fat and very little meat. On paying the bill I queried the negroni, they told me they had no campari, they should have told me when i ordered, or not offered negroni. For the very high price i do not think it's worth it. We have been twice and on both occasions the waiters did not come out to our table more than once so clearly not expecting anyone to order more than 1 drink. Great decor though, they've done a great job with the building and bar.

I didn't stay at Ba Hao, just went there to hang out with my friend at night. The bar is unique and decorate style is Chinese. Drinks menu is very creative plus great presentation. Price point is a bit higher than the place nearby, but it is okay.

We just came for an early dinner during Lunar New Year. The food was great but definitely not your traditional American or British 'Chinese' so don't come expecting that......it is different but delicious. Limited menu for vegetarians but it was good.

Loved the vibe, loved the food, loved the drinks. They have a wide selection of gin drinks. We tried two we really liked - mandarin tonic (so simple yet elegant) and goat & tiger (sweet but let the ice melt a bit and then it's perfect). Their special drink, Fa Cai, is delicious too. Foodwise, the duck wontons are the star of the show. Wrappers are perfectly thin and juicy. The pork belly with morning glory is paired well with the crunch of the veggie to go with the fattiness of the pork - I wish it was slightly less sweet but we added chili oil and solved that problem. The tan tan noodle is also a hit. I think next time I'd try the vegetarian version of it and it'd be even better.

What a nice place!! This place was such a great surprise! So cool to have the spot above a bar / restaurant that is in itself somewhere we would want to hang out in. The room was also amazing, excellent view. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ba Hao is a wonderful addition to China Town; a quaint hidden gem in Soi Nana. The owner Khun Bua, manager Khun AA and service staff Nong Taew are excellent and add to the mystery of Ba Hao. The fushion in the food is brilliantly executed especially the Tan Tan Mian and Duck Wonton are full of flavor! We will definitely be back over and over again. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Totally in love with this place, such a gem in Soi Nana. A small cozy, quirky place serving cocktails as well as Chinese inspires dishes. Tried out several dishes. Sali Salsa, crispy tofu skin served with a refreshing salsa. Crispy Patongko with Garlic & Chili, which was awesome. Prawn Paste Spring Roll, again superbly made. Duck Wonton is totally good, with chili oil but not too spicy. Shitake Tan Tan Mian, was also yummy. For dessert, gotta try out their Coriander Ice Cream served on a bed of salty sweet peanut & crepe. And don’t forget to get Ba Hao Tian Mi limited pudding. This month is Banofffee Pudding, a soymilk pudding served with cream, caramel sauce, cookie crumble & caramelised banana. All i can say is you gotta give it a go. Everything is so goooood. And don’t forget to reserve a table.

Unique and delicious menu. Veggie friendly also. Located in a cool area as well! Recommend swinging by and putting name down then going to nearby bar such as Teens of Thailand.

Tasty and unusual drinks, very good food and a nice atmosphere - I'm not surprised that the bar has such good reviews. It's worth reserving a seat early, as there are only a few tables.

genuinely one of the best meals i’ve had while in bangkok. walked in without any reservation on a tuesday evening and the 7 of us were seated right away. we ordered one of every main and we highly recommend the pork belly mantou and dandan mian! overall a really pleasant dining experience :”)

Okay I confused, but my review is for the Bao Hao Resto. Anyway, it's a nice place to eat and hang out with friends. Had cocktail and a steam dumpling. Drinks were GOOD, although it felt like their was no alcohol (either that or my tolerance was just high). Dumpling was good. Chili sauce is love. Wish it's much warmer, to the point of hot. It does become busy at night, as there are seats outside and a mini bar as well. Cool toilet as well!

On a corner of a street in Chinatown this pricey food and cocktail ba doesn't disappoint. The food is super yummy - as it should be at these prices. The cocktails too - both deliver above expectation and some were so good we reordered some dishes :)

Ba Hao 八號 in Bangkok blew me away! The food is like a taste adventure, and the place has this cool mix of modern and traditional vibes. It's a must-try for awesome food and a great atmosphere in the heart of Bangkok!

Such a cute place! We discovered it last year as we frequent wallflower and teens of Thailand nearby, but did not actually visit until this year, and it has quickly become one of our favorites! They have a cocktail that they just took off the menu but they still make for me which is probably the only cocktail I’ve ever had in Bangkok that is not sugary (and virgin) so you just feel nauseous afterwards. Such a cute ambience and we love sitting outside on the street (almost every single night if we are nearby). The guy who runs the place is such a nice guy, and they actually rent out apartments above on Airbnb (we did not stay there or know about it, but had rented a 3 story shop house a few doors for a few days, and theirs look well done from the adverts he showed us!)

Amazing place. We were surprised that we could walk in today as it is usually fully booked. We just get in quickly for one coriander ice-cream and ended up with cocktail on the top. The ice cream is coconut milk ice-cream sprinkled with sea salt and shaved caramelized peanut, wrapped in rice pancake. Cocktail’s are signature house specialties and I went for “Drunken Mistress” which is gin and lychee based with star anise and thai plum.

Small yet super cute location! Good Chinese food and drinks! Perfect location to start an evening in this street before exploring the 3-4 bars in the neighbourhood. Place is small and popular so better book your seats. N.B.: if you're a larger group, they have a kind of living room at the 2nd floor that can be used. N.B.2: They are also renting 2 rooms upstairs which are perfect for a staycation while exploring China town and historical area of Bangkok.

Really like their cocktails and food. Good options for veggie people. I took a shrimps balls and a veggie cabbage salad, all was delicious. Comparing to local prices it is expensive, but the whole vibe was cool and the stuff they have is wonderful!

loved the food and the interior. We had a meal while the rain hammered down outside, sipping a Moutai shot each (which was small but really good value considering how premium it is, and came in the authentic glassware).

Great drinks, great food, and very friendly staff. We got the drunken chicken and the shrimp spring rolls. And a lot of drinks. It was all excellent and atmosphere was on point. Def a good spot!!!

Interesting concept restaurant. The food was great and the decor made it feel you were sitting in an old times asian bar/restaurant. Had a great time there.

Very hip and relaxed bar with some exceptional food! The Duck Wontons is superb but the Caramalized Pork Belly with Morning Glory is a die die must try and one to die for! A good place to hop by if you are around Chinatown or Hua Lamphong area.

What a great venue. We came here for a cocktail at opening time on a Sunday night and the place was already nearly full, but the staff are fantastic, the drinks are great quality and the price is reasonable. Will absolutely be back next time I’m in town.

  • 5/5 Andrew F. 1 year ago on Google
Thought the food was great. Dumplings were juicy and soft & some of the best spring rolls I’ve eaten. The ambience sets an intimate mood & the decor takes you back to another era. Staff were efficient & friendly. Will definitely go back.
