First of all, I have no idea why it is a 2-star hotel. I don't give 5 stars because of the bathroom facilities. Other things are all good. Breakfast is almost the same with the one that i experienced in UK. In Bangkok, its breakfast might be the best. The view and the location is amazing as well. Even at the new year night, the transportation was great according to the location of this hotel. I will visit and stay only in this hotel whenever i visit to Bangkok. The live karaoke in Breakfast is the extra gift from the hotel.

This is my go to hotel in Bangkok. The staff went out of their way for me and my family when I ended up in hospital for 2 weeks. The people are fantastic. The location is perfect being in China Town and opposite the train station. The breakfast is great and during the day the cafe serves really nice food. Rooms are spotless and comfortable. I have stayed here many times over the last few months. Exceptional place.

One of cleaning staff (young short hair girl) stole my jacket on check out day. (In other review also another lady said lost her e-book. So I believe this girl has stolen stuff from customers frequently) I knew I forgot my jacket right after check out, but when I came back to room it was already gone. And this girl told her boss she didnโ€™t see anything but we know itโ€™s a lie. Hotel itself is very old, room was facing to street side, but clearly hear sounds from outside and was noisy at night. Overall I donโ€™t recommend any foreigners to stay in this hotel if you donโ€™t want to get stolen anything.

Classic vintage Spacious rooms with a small balcony offering great city views. Super location close to Hualampong mrt station. China town at a walkable distance. The rooms though dated are super clean with every thing you need for a comfortable stay. Staff hospitality is top notch. Will definitely return and highly recommend to travellers to Bangkok.

Helpful, friendly staff, who very kindly assisted us with our last-minute needs and ensured that our bicycles were secure in the lobby. Rooms are spacious and spotless, with great hot water, refrigerators and quiet air conditioning. Ours had a beautiful view of the city skyline. Super convenient to the train station. Best of all: the incredible and sumptuous breakfast buffet. This hotel is a fantastic value.

Fantastic location close to the central train station and Chinatown. The rooms are quite basic, but I had an incredible view of the Bangkok skyline from my 7th floor room. It felt very safe there, with staff and security present. The housekeeping staff also do a fantastic job, and my room looked great every time. The breakfasts could be better, not much to eat if you're vegetarian, and it is exactly the same options every day.

Good location in the city. Close to China Town and the metro. The staff was so nice and helpful. They tidy your room daily and bring you clean towels and water bottles. The rooms are big and have air conditioning. The breakfast was interesting. There is a washing machine you can use for 50 bhat!

The service desk lady is nice. they took you to your room and showed you around, they remember my room and hand me the key the moment I walk in the door. The bed is not soft enough for me. The breakfast is taste good and the table constantly being clean. No decent food or drink around later of the day.

The customer service is nice. Great view on 7th floor. Price is reasonable with breakfast included. Room is clean. But you need to bring your toothbrush and small towel.

The staff was very helpful and courteous. Allowed us to check in several hours early after arriving at the Hua Lamphong station on the night train from Nong Khai. Complementary breakfast was great with a mix of SE Asian as well as Western choices. Rooms were as expected for the price, but the room we had didn't have the best view. Conveniently located next to Chinatown and the Hua Lamphong SRT/MRT stations for easy transportation around Bangkok.

The staff was really good and helpful. It was very far from the airport. But depending on where you want to go, it was okay. Do take care of your belongings there. An incident there left a bitter taste in my traveling experience in Thailand. I have been in Thailand for over a year and it was the first time that I faced such a thing in Thailand. The rooms were good and breakfast was okay. Good hotel all in all.

The hotel is located in nice location well connected to the city and nearby activities. The breakfast has great varieties. Rooms appear little dark. But my overall experience is nice. Forgot to take pictures of all spaces. A nice place to spend time when at Bangkok.

Old hotel but the service they talk about can be better than new hotels in general. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is delicious and all the waiters are very friendly.

The hotel is in a real central area and staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good with lots of variety. The beds are a bit hard, but otherwise a very good hotel and good value as well.

Amazing service and the staff very Nonis and helpful, even the night guard. Good breakfast for the price with a lot to choose from. They cleaned the room and brought us new towels and water everyday. They even had a washing machine to use for only 50 bhat

Good location, food is average, rooms less so. Dated, early check available for 300bt. No safety box in room.

The Location is excellent with a <5 minute walk to the MRT station and the breakfast was delicious. Interiors are dated, however you can't complain for this price!

Reliable Old style Hotel Smallest elevator in Bangkok Highlight is the elderly owner whose office is oddly located in the breakfast room

The aisle smelled like cigarettes, the room was not what we expected. The bed was clean & big and overall ok but the rest of the room was quite lacking. The bathroom smelled terrible and the sink leaked water. The shower was also not nice. However the breakfast was amazing. A lot of choice and they kept refilling everything. Would come back again for the breakfast and for the convinent location for my personal needs (close to storage box unit) but not for the room itself, as in my personal opinion it was not worth what we were charged.

Really nice refurbish to reception and dining areas. Breakfast is a treat. The rooms are still basic with minimal bathrooms. Immediate action required : The water bottles are impossible to open. The music in the breakfast area is horrible.

Traveling in a group of seven and had several hours before catching our train north. We booked a twin room just to have a place to lie down and store bags. This hotel was great! Pleasant staff, clean basic room with attached bath. Great location adjacent to the train station, and a 10 minute walk to Chinatown.

You know, this isn't awesome hotel, but for the price and location it more than fit my need. The hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I thought that the free breakfast was awesome, they put a lot of effort into it. I wish the rooms had a small safe, but they don't. However, I never had any problems. My biggest complaint is that the beds are really hard and not very comfortable. If you stay on the street side of the hotel, it can be loud at night and early mornings. Great location to train and MRT stations!!!! There are a lot of homeless people around the train station, but they never bothered me, not at all.

Never stayed in this hotel so my review not as a customer/guest, but how can a hotel be closer to the train station than this one? It's just on the other side of the canal. Its architecture very much 60s is very well kept and the blue and golden colors offer a beautiful contrast especially in the morning when the sun seems to illuminate this hotel.

Good location for navigating yourself around Bangkok and to other parts of Thailand as metro station and railway station are in walking distance. China town is not far away. Safety is ok for solo female traveller. I stay here several times and itโ€™s my first option still. Downside of this hotel is the room might not be spotless clean but Iโ€™m fine for this price.

I love this hotel. Great location overlooking the main railway station, easy walk to the metro, local restaurants and 7/11. Rooms are comfortable and clean, cleaned every day by the efficient cleaners. Great help yourself breakfast with a wide choice. Lovely staff. The rooms at the front get a bit of traffic noise but it's only city background stuff and wont keep you awake. I've been using this hotel over the past 20 years for my fairly regular stays in Bangkok and I thoroughly recommend it.

Clean and comfortable room just a few steps from the train station!

  • 5/5 Tim T. 2 years ago on Google
Clean, simple, pretty quiet, very good service, directly across the way from the train station and MTR. Includes a simple breakfast too. Great for overnight before your early morning train. Neighborhood isn't so nice though.
