Visited
again
after
a
20
year
break
and
I
remembered
it
well.
That
alone
tells
you
something.
It's
been
open
since
1975!
In
mid
afternoon
and
when
we
returned
early
evening,it
was
very
busy.
Had
a
lovely
buzz
of
conversation
(we
should
wean
ourselves
off
phones
for
a
while)
And
many
were
not
only
French
but
also
locals.
The
aroma
of
good
food
was
a
big
draw
as
well
The
interior
is
long
and
narrow.
With
the
kitchen
half
way
down,
so
you
can
see
the
food
being
cooked
and
prepared.
An
oddity
was
the
tv
screen
viewed
outside
showing
a
big
pizza
like
oven
(Not
on
the
menu
for
once)
And
you
can
watch
the
live
activity
as
dishes
were
cooked.
There
was
lots
of
outside
space,
mostly
under
cover.
This
expanded
as
more
diners
came
pleading
for
a
table
Initially
the
MaitreD
said
he
had
no
space
but
as
he
turned
away,
he
called
us
back.
The
fairly
concise
yet
varied
menu,
(but
not
for
vegetarians)
boasted
of
the
quality
of
the
meat
served,
especially
beef.
Unusually
the
menu
is
printed
on
the
paper
place
setting.
I
went
for
the
3
course
set
menu
at
€27.50
The
2
teenagers
in
our
group
were
very
happy
with
their
food.
The
Camembert
which
had
been
oven
cooked,
was
well
presented
and
appetizing.
We
all
tried
it!
My
salad
based
starter
including
lardon
pieces
was
demolished
with
relish.
I
and
another
in
our
party
had
a
beef
brochette.
The
meat
was
excellent
and
cooked
as
ordered
and
well
presented
with
a
sauce
and
greenery.
Finished
with
a
peach
melba
type
dessert.
No
tins
allowed.
Fresh
sliced
peaches,
rich
ice
cream,
raspberry
sauce,
topped
off
attractively.
All
savoured
and
dish
emptied.
Had
a
bottle
of
the
cheap
Rhone
at
€21.
Very
smooth
but
not
to
my
taste.
The
waiting
staff
and
therefore
Also
the
cooks
worked
extremely
hard
to
deliver
efficiently.
Even
though
diners
kept
coming
until
10.
And
engaged
with
us
when
they
could
without
interrupting
with
the
standard
"how
was
your
meal".
"Check
the
plate"
often
being
my
response.
So
€38
(just
over
£32)
for
3
courses.
Would've
happily
paid
more.
Best
tasting,
service
and
value
meal
I've
had
for
many
years.
And
I've
tried
many
of
the
Norfolk
coast
restaurants,
catering
for
the
delicate
palates
of
the
Chelsea
by
sea
set.
This
was
not
style
over
substance.
It
was
difficult
to
find
fault.
If
you
go,
I'd
book
just
to
be
sure.
Especially
at
weekends.
If
I
venture
this
way
again,
guess
where
I'm
headed!
Merci
Pierre

are
