Renaissance beach is not Renaissance Flamingo island, I've seen reviews that seem to confuse the two. This is a small pond-like beach right next to the Ocean suites building of the hotel, for guests. Very calm shallow water. Great for sunset watching!

It’s a bit cost expensive if you don’t stay at their hotel. But it was a nice day experience for us. My son loved the flamingos and nature. The water is perfect and you can rent various water equipment (paddle boat, snorkeling gear). The food was good, as well as the drinks (complimentary with your ticket)!

Aruba has a lot of great restaurants and this is definitely one of them. It's budget friendly and for heavy eaters they have an all you can eat approximately US$35,- BBQ night on Tuesday's starting at 6pm. It's s on the beach for the early birds amongst you, you can enjoy the sunset. It's located at the Renaissance Suites on the beach with great ambiance lighting. For my daughter the high light was to make snores in an outside grill.

Nice flamingos but not really worth $100. Coconut drink was like $16

Cute little beach (different from Renaissance Island, I think people are getting confused with this). The water in the beach itself has weeds and felt more like a lake instead of the beach. I think it’s maybe because the water stays stagnant there for a while. Food and drinks were delicious but they asked me to go back for my food after 10 mins which I did and ended up waiting for probably 15-20 mins more. I wouldn’t have minded the long wait, just don’t tell me to go back for the food and make me wait there even longer when I could have enjoyed the beach more much longer. Poke nachos 5/5 Al pastor tacos 3.5/5 Mojito 4/5 Beach 3/5 Service 3/5 Nonetheless, I enjoyed my time there and I’s go back for the food and drinks!

This was the best choice i've made based on checking the reviews online. The hotel staff are always ready to assist and help as much as possible. The event crew is amazing (located to the left of the front desk), they have all the information on ongoing events on the island, they can assist with the reservations of boat trips, diving, snorkeling, restaurants, off road trips and etc. If you decide to go to Renaissance (which is highly recommended) you should definitely take the recommendations for fun activities. My top lis: 1. Snuba diving with Palm Pleasure sailing. 2. UTV Off road trip 3. Photo shoot on Flamingo Island (100% recommended call me Petit Photography) 4. Kukoo Kunuku Bus tour (drink, dance, bar hopping) 5. Natural pool Safari 6. Atlantis submarine tour (I personally was not impressed). In addition to all the services, beautiful pools and functivities, you will have access to flamingo island, which is a small paradise. The island is for the Reneissanse visitors only. It is well maintained and service staff are super friendly and courteous, always ready to help. Getting to the island is by small engined boats which run from the hotel every 15 minutes. The island has two beaches. One for adults and second for families. I recommend the family side as it is more quiet, has more space and better suntanning spots. There are bungalows on each side of the beach. If you decide to rent the it, it will run between $350 to $750 depending on the size (if you decide, reserve it in advance as the huts get occupied fairly quickly) Btw, make sure you take quarters with you when you head to the Island (if you want a picture feeding the flamingos). Food and drinks are decent. The best time to get to Flamingo Island is in the morning (8/9 am), to reserve the best spot and get snorkeling gear as well as a water mattress. (After about 11 am, most of the mattresses and gear are gone). The island is very peaceful and best for a romantic dinner. Check with the front desk if island dinner is scheduled ( as i recall, they do reservations every Wednesday or Thursday). The island has stunning spots to Watch the sunset (if there are no clouds) or take pictures. Overall 15 points to Reneissanse out of 10.

Very nice little beach, and I've seen reviews of people thinking this was Flamingo Beach, and no, they are not the same.

Small and private beach. Safe enclosed water for kids. Not the same experience as Eagle or Palm beach.

Very nice resort. Lots of amenities but the rooms are tiny and not designed logically. I'll describe the decor of our room as: 'Live in Renovation'. Our room was recently renovated, but the paint scheme appears to be unfinished. Very strange!

I got off the cruise ship and thought it would be a nice place to visit. Instead of just walking straight in I went to the reception desk to pay. The reception staff asked if I was a resident? I said no he said it was not possible?

What made this hotel so nice was one wait staff person. Yesmar never let us go hungry or thirsty and even covered other peoples areas to make this happen-I rented a Cabana for the day and had to go order my own food-when I told Yesmar he informed the manager and they made it up to use very nicely. It is service that makes a difference-there are a ton of places to stay, but if he is still there I will be back. Hope he is lol. Wonder if I can call and ask?

Hopped a flight out of IAD and an hour after landing I was on the water taxi to Renaissance Beach. Being close to the airport is huge, and my wife and I loved watching the flights arriving at AUA. Service on the beach was satisfactory, but nothing special. Food was excellent, but not exactly hot. The water was warm in spots which was exactly where we decided to float away our worries. Warm enough that we wondered if there was a hot spring on the beach.

We stayed on the marina side, but came over to this area each day to hang out around happy hour. The beach is nice, the water is warmer than the ocean, but we didn't spend much time on the beach here (even though we did snorkel and hang out at other beaches). It is a beautiful view though, but fairly windy.
