Great value for money. The staff are what make it all so friendly and helpful. Food is very good and again great value.

I love this place. Food is always, ALWAYS amazing, the staff don't wear uniforms, it's always very relaxed and they're always happy and I love that the management run it this way because we always get amazing service from a team that is obviously very loved. We probably go here once a week, my wife and I, when the kids are in school for a lunch. We've often gone after school with the kids too, and they've always got daily deals on. Just go. Try it. You won't be disappointed.

Popped in here on a cold Tuesday night for some food. It was very quiet and that is probably not surprising and hence the atmosphere was pretty low key. But being quite allowed quick service at the bar and there was a good choice of beers on offer. food menu was extensive and a good variety including veggie options. Very tasty when it came ( speedily) and large portions too. Overall good pub grub.

When I arrived the pub/Hotel looked lovely with lots of people outside enjoying the sunshine and a few drinks. I went to the reception area and received a friendly welcome from Carys who offered to take my bags and then showed me to my room pointing out the out of hours exit and what to do in case of a fire alarm activation. The room was spotlessly clean spacious and well furnished including lots of tea, coffee and milk etc. There was a large ensuite that was ideal for my needs. When I went down to the bar I had a couple of drinks chatting to the staff and locals and felt very welcome. I then enjoyed a delicious supper which was very reasonably priced. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Carys and her team for such a lovely stay. Thoroughly recommended. Would I stay again? Yes definitely.

I'm very disappointed with this place. Looks lovely outside and made big wow when we arrived. Unfortunately it was only stop on our journey so we arrived late and try leave early after breakfast. When we arrived very helpful gentleman ( I think somebody said manager) check me in and share all useful information about the place. The room was big, bright and nice. Need update, but was clean and well kept. Fresh bedding and towels, tea and coffee in the room. I will say 9/10 for the hotel part of the place. The problem was with the pub part. When we arrived around 8 they said kitchen is closed, they not serving any more food. In the morning was not better. We were the first people for breakfast. Young lady said we can sit anywhere and choose our option. She said in the waiting time continental part is for us for free and we can make there tea or coffee. Great. The problem was the place wasn't set up. There wasn't hot water, no milk for the cornflakes, no juices or tap water. When we ask her she said everything is there- but wasn't... We have to asked three times about stuff and then she was bringing everything. She sounded like she was annoyed with me but it wasn't my fault. Good there is a jam and honey but not croissants, bread or toast. Couple next to us asked about it and they bake for them fresh but Im not sure if that should work like that. They didn't ask us about it. Apart from that my breakfast was tasty (but messed up as the lady mix my and my partner's order...) I wish to give more star because this place is lovely. I hope come back in some point and hopefully update my review and give more stars.

Booked the back room for a question and answer evening. We were made welcome and able to set up all our equipment. A good turnout and lots bought food and drinks so a win, win situation. Many thanks to the manager.

We booked a function room for a wedding party. The staff could not have been more helpful and did an excellent job in delivering a first class event which I believe was enjoyed by all. The food and service were of a high standard as were the various extras we asked the staff to arrange. I couldn't recommend them highly enough. Many thanks to all the team at the Twelve Knights.

Stayed here overnight on our way back home. Decent enough stay, didn't hear any noise, good location, close to the m4, nice view from the hotel and plenty of parking. Hotel room itself needs a little updating, bathroom looks as though It may have been done at some point (bonus is the bathroom we had at least was huge!) shower cubicle and separate bath. Mould developing quite bad in areas due to other people not airing the place efficiently. Looks as though they're doing things to prevent it though still there. Bed was comfy and room was fine. Carpet has stains absolutely everywhere, but just wear socks and it's OK. Clean at least. No smoking in any rooms which is the norm and great, though because there's a smokers area at the top of the fire exit, there is a cigarette smell, but I guess can't be helped. General areas are clean and the bar seems good enough plenty of choices of beer. Sadly we arrived too late for the food. Kitchen closed at 7+30/8 on Saturday night, seemed a little early but is what it is. Breakfast in the morning, bit of a disappointment really. First thing no hot water for the coffee, no milk for the breakfast or coffee, no bread for toasting, no toaster for toasting but possibly not even an option, no juice available, no croissants to help yourself to, all seemed a little chaotic and like we were asking for too much. Possibly an oversight for things like that but if you're going to offer such as coffee or cereal then make sure the necessities for make such things are there. Breakfast is from 8 we arrived for breakfast 8:15. All in all a pleasent stay, would visit for the pub again, but not necessarily to stay.

Really poor sadly! The queue was out to the door, my husband waited in the queue I went looking for a waitress as our table was reserved.she showed me to the table bur I had to ask how to order.i told my husband who was still waiting in queue and he ordered our meals when he finally got served.he ordered chicken and was given turkey but didn't want it returned the meal was lukewarm and to be honest tasteless.the majority of the veg was red cabbage which wasn't nice.a few carrots, broccoli and a few very small toasties.the only thing nice was the Yorkshire pud! Service poor, we left without a dessert and further drinks

Visited with family for a special birthday and had a lovely meal in a nice relaxed atmosphere. Staff were cheerful, polite and helpful. The only negative is that the bar and toilet facilities are very tired and could do with a makeover. Other than that I would definitely visit again.

There were 7 of us 'ladies who lunch once a month". The food was lovely, as usual. However, the service was nowhere near as good as last time when the very nice waitress took our orders at the table (as it should be). However, this time there was no cutlery or serviettes laid out for us and we were expected to go to the bar to place our orders, which would have needed to be done individually as we were paying separately. This isn't our idea of dining out as waiting service is key when you dine out at a restaurant and part of the enjoyment. I explained to the lady at the bar that our orders were very kindly taken at our table on our previous visit and please could they do the same on this occasion. This was done but with very little enthusiasm - and we had to wait for cutlery to be brought AFTER we'd received our meals. Desserts also had to be chased up as they had forgotten about them. Please don't let this be the norm. There is a great choice of menu (especially the smaller portions of fish etc on the last page to cater for those with smaller appetites) and the food is always excellent, so please don't let yourselves down on the service side. Thank you for reading this and we look forward to waiting staff service on our next visit.

To start with the positives: lovely warm welcome; service is friendly and efficient; Rev James and Marsden's Pedigree, great; food arrived in good time and was good quality and very tasty. Would definitely go back again. Good value for the money. Negatives: The presentation of the starters looked a bit bare - just a little garnish would make it look much nicer, and taste more interesting. There is the menu option to 'double your chips' on most main courses, and to me if you can easily count your chips there aren't enough to start with before the 'doubling'. Good pub food - know what you're getting, done well, no frills. Romantic dinner for two - nope! Can't be bothered to cook midweek - definitely.

Lovely bar staff, reasonably priced drinks, lovely restaurant area, great menu selection and fast service. Amazing burgers and we also saw the daily deals which looked excellent value for money. Relaxed atmosphere and the food servers were polite and friendly also.

Lovely run establishment. Food is good, prices are very reasonable and staff are kind. However there was no soap in the toilets and very little cutlery. Will definitely return in future, does a cracking cavalry.

Stopped here unexpectedly in the hope of getting a Sunday roast. Initially told they were unable to offer a roast as we hadn't booked. After checking with the kitchen we were able to enjoy a roast. Great service and good food. Very good size portions and the smaller plate was more than enough for me. Would recommend if in the area.

Food was lovely, served piping hot. Service was lovely and welcoming, as always is. Picked up the festive menu which looks lovely with great selection (not just boring turkey roast) and a reasonable price.

Food has always been amazing, and always been very welcomed, that's why we made the twelve knights our family pub to go to (going a couple of times a month). But we went on Wed 1st June, and although the staff were as friendly as always, the food (new menu) was not up to the usual standard. We have tried various items on the old menu, but on this occasion we had the cowboy burger (the old option was a taverners burger, which was meaty and tasty) which was presented to us, and was overcooked, dry and tasteless. I'm not saying we won't be back, but after this experience, won't be our first choice.

The room I was in was a little shabby and boiling hot the recnt heatwave, the food was exactly what you'd expect from a chain pub, friendly staff and a decent pint of Guinness but I should think so for £5.10 .

I have been staying over the night in the rooms above the PUB. I general staying was fine. Comfortable bed, hot water in the shower. Though, the place would be more appropriate for men, lorry drivers, for whom the comfort is essential but they woupay much attention to the immaculaticy of cleanness... The PUB is the PUB. Same time seems that is regular, popular place for local guys for having a pint.

Some of the staff seemed really busy but then others just didn’t seem to know what was happening. When I first walked in I was greeted really well but was waiting at the bar to get a drink for 10 minutes, parts of my food came to me cold. but the other parts were really hot and tasted fresh

Stayed for 5 nights. Cheap and very, very cheerful. Big room, hot showers, comfy bed, but it was advertised on website as being king-size, but it was a double. My partner is a big man, so we struggled in a double, but bed was comfy. The staff are amazing , nothing is too much trouble. Friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic, hot and fresh every time. Will stay again when in the area. Thank you. X

Enjoyed the pub itself but we stayed the night in one of the the rooms. It wasn't worth £90plus pounds, the room was dirty and run down. Carpet was stained, bedding was ripped walls had patches where it looked like water marks. Bathroom had mould in the grout between the tiles. We were facing thr back of the pub I'm our room and was woken up early due to the noise from staff outside.

We were let down at the last minute with our booking at the brook. The 12 knights were able to accommodate our large party at extreamly short notice. The staff and service were fantastic as was the food. What was almost a disaster was turnned into a fantastic family get together thanks to the 12 knights. I can not thank them enough. Also one of our party is gluten intolerant, they were very pleased to see a dedicated menu with a wide selection available for them, we will definitely be returning.

Stopped on my way up the M4 as didn't want a service station and this was easily accessible. Pleasantly surprised by the food and reasonably prices. Staff were lovely, one member of staff whose name was Carys gave us lots of local info and was happy to chat, while still ensuring all patrons were served efficiently. Will become a regular stop on our drives up the M4.

Felt I needed to post about the fab breakfast I had at the twelve knights hotel. I had the works full breakfast which was presented beautifully, with everything being cooked to perfection. I could taste everything individually and enjoyed every mouthful. I would highly recommend it.

😠 Absolutely shocking service. We decided to go to spoons at 9:30pm for some food. They were still serving. We all ordered our food and our SOFT drinks came over. We then had a very rude staff member ask us for ID. 2 out of the 4 of us had ID on us. We are all 22 years old and don’t look young in any...
