Very rude customer service, we were a party of 3 and there was multiple seats available at the bar and both bartenders blonde lady and Mexican man told us we couldnโ€™t sit there. We immediately felt the unwelcoming vibes. We are not from Portland just happened to stop by. I do not recommend coming here honestly! We were in there for 2 mins and we kept getting turned down on where we chose to sit in a damn near empty bar. It was just so sad to be treated that way. In 2022!!!

Big, open, airy pool room. I counted 7 tables. They are nice Brunswick tables. I have no idea what it costs because the bartender didn't have time for me and there were 3 other people at the bar. I had a $3 PBR and left. It is connected to Arthur's Diner. There is a hallway connecting the two. I put up photos of the menu, but I didn't eat because I wasn't offered a menu. Didn't know there was food available. I discovered one, on my own, on the way to the head. There was a lady serving tables and she greeted me with a friendly smile when I walked in the front door. 4 stars for nice pool tables๐ŸŽฑ and the lady with the smile. UPDATE: I RARELY bash, BUT this guy really was a terrible bartender. I sat there with an empty beer for 25 minutes. Not a word. So, I did this(see pic) another 10 minute went by. He never even walked down to my end of the bar. He was chatting up his, apparent, friends. ?

Bad security. Why pat down only half the patrons. Women can walk in freely, but all men have to be touched by some wannabe corrections officers in blacked out tactical clothing and a authority complex. Not safe and not cool.

There was no place for me to sit outside so I sat in the ground and and security made me and my disabled friend leave the smoking area because I was sitting on the ground and told me I had to leave the bar. I wasnโ€™t causing any problems. Just waiting for an Uber to come get us and and then they sat and watched us stand as my disabled friend almost passed out right in front of them. Seriously the worst I paid 25 dollars to be here. I have a bad knee and canโ€™t just stand around so I had to sit on the ground since there was no other seating.

Your experience depends on what you're there for. I was there for the pool. Tables are under maintenaned and the house cues are in unusable condition. Ive seen 15 year old plus house cues in better shape in dive bars in seedy parts of town. The balls need to be polished and the felt replaced. The tables are nine feet and the worse condition the table is in the more problems you deal with on a bigger table. Therefore this renders the $8 an hour for pool overvalued. Place wasn't even busy and no servers came to check on me - all three were just sitting at the bar on there phones. As far as positive things goes the drinks are very reasonably priced. They have a security guard outside. It was easy to meet people there too. Atmosphere was definitely cool. Didn't try the food so can't speak on that. Reason I give two is because I was there for the pool and wasn't happy with the results. Will go back out of convenience sake during rush hour but not going out of my way for the place.

At first I had a pleasant experience at this establishment when I visited Saturday September 10, 2022. The food and the drinks were both very good. But by the end of the evening the experience was ruined, because I saw 3 cockroaches running across the table I was sitting at. One of them appeared to be a baby cockroach, which means that they have been breeding. This now makes me wonder just how clean the kitchen is at this establishment.

Iโ€™d like to preface this by saying that Iโ€™m not a frequent reviewer. This may be my first. But I felt compelled to share because the food was comically bad. Like, absurdly bad. We didnโ€™t have high hopes for the food cause itโ€™s a pool bar. But we were hungry and going to a show downstairs so we thought, โ€œhow bad could it be?โ€โ€ฆ and boy were we surprised. We sat at the bar and the bartender was incredibly nice. The vibe was fine and the beers/drinks were great. However, my $17 โ€œhalf-pound burgerโ€ was smaller than a $.99 patty youโ€™d get at a drive through. Maximum 4oz, and as dry as Portland asphalt in August. My partner got the impossible burger and it was probably 3x the size of mine. See for yourself:

A really cool central pool hall. There are lots of great options around Portland but this place seems to be open all sorts of crazy hours. You can often show up in the afternoon or on a Sunday and find out there's a promo that saves you money on drinks or it gives you free pool. I usually use this as a post lunch or pre dinner activity. But if you are a night owl trying to enjoy the town then these guys are open pretty late.

Rialto's could be a great pool hall, but the sound system is cranked up too high. The way I understand pool at a tournament level, not only is it a game of concentration but also the players need to call their shots. Today some very good people showed up for a tournament, with hopes that it would grow as a monthly event. Before we could begin, the bartender was politely asked by two people if the volume could be lowered, but were refused with attitude. So today's tournament was cancelled. Also a good pool hall would have cleaned the tables and polished the balls. Portland is really lacking in good quality pool halls in a sport that is gaining in popularity. Sadly Rialto needs to up their game if they want to seize this opportunity.

I usually go here on weekends during daytime/afternoons. It's not very busy at that time. They have one table in a corner which is placed so bad that it's sometimes almost impossible to take some shots and that is wierd for a poolroom. Except that one table, all others are fine. On house cue sticks, they have some that are straight but need to fish for them a bit, especially if it's already busy. I never bring mine here because I have plans immediately after but, I have never not been able to find a straight cue stick. They have a well stocked bar with a great selection and they have multiple big screens if you'd want to catch a game while playing pool or you could just come to enjoy the game with some drinks. This will continue to be my regular poolhall in Portland.

The Rialto poolroom is a great place to unwind and relax with friends or alone. There are 5-6 pool tables. There's a decent selection of liquor and there is food available. The food is pretty good, definitely good for a poolroom. I like the atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. Occasionally a security guard so it's safe as far as Portland goes. I recommend getting there somewhat early if you want a pool table they can get busy and end up having a wait-list for pool tables. Overall a great place to go.

What an awesome place, atmosphere, service and drinks were amazing, my glass was icy dressed in white with a cold beer, couldn't have asked for better in a warm PNW day!

Walked in and was disregarded. Apparently you need to be a straight white man to get service in this establishment. The bartender had to be told by the person behind me that I was before him for me to get service. The bartender was definitely not trying to help me at all.

The tables are a bit ripped up and $10 an hour felt a bit steep but it's nice to have a place downtown to play pool.

A lively and fun bar, with a small concert venue downstairs. We came to play pool, the tables were in decent shape (as much as can be expected from a pool bar). The drinks were good and waitresses were attentive. However, I wish there were a few more better vegetarian options on the menu.

We've been playing pool here for several years. Once you've been going long enough, the bartenders recognize you and serve you well! The pool tables are in great shape- good, fast felt, and level. Each table has a wooden triangle on top of the light. The tables could certainly use some dusting now and again, but that doesn't bother is too much. They have a very good variety of liquor and beer, and the food is good for bar food. The rates are reasonable. We always bring our own cues, but they have ones they provide for those just out to have fun. There is excellent security keeping out any riff raff, but be sure to bring your IDs or they won't let you in! Lots of TVs with sports playing around the clock. Great place to hang out for a night for under $100.

We just like coming here for the strong drinks. The atmosphere of the area will depend on the time of the day. It is in a sketch area of Portland. We've been here for jazz night and that has been really fun!

Excellent low key downtown spot to play some pool and grab some drinks. Lots of pool tables, but can get crowded quite easily on a busy night. Parking can be a bit tricky here more so in the evening as it gets a bit rowdy, just below is the Jack London Revue which is an excellent spot of live Jazz performances and other fun items like Burlesque shows and other genres.

Best place for ding-dings, playin' cards & beer... what more could you ask for? Security does an exceptional job making sure everybody is minding their manners and partying safely.

Lots of sports tvs and full size pool tables. Good beer selection. Armed security which is a plus in this part of Portland

Nice tables, good drinks. The pool tables are rented by the hour. They weren't expensive

It was a very good experience, the security top notch, the atmosphere when I got there seemed very professional and as the night progressed it slowly became more of a club and a fun place to be. Victor was my bartender and he did an amazing job not only with his professional yet fun demeanor his ability to remember large orders was outstanding I watched a person come up and order six very confusing drinks and he didn't even ask for a repeat he got them all right. The only reason I gave it four stars and not five is because I could see two other people behind the bar with a full bar of people waiting to order not doing anything
