Mill House has a really fun and lively atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and it’s a nice place to grab a drink. I had high hopes for the food after seeing a lot of great reviews and their menu that was filled with a lot of great options. We got the bang bang cauliflower, chicken cordon blue, and pressed turkey sandwich(turkey is pressed really thin, not the sandwich). It took probably 20 mins to get the cauliflower and another 30-40 to get the mains. The food was fine, it was a bit too salty and nothing great. It was a little gross watching waiters walk around with their fingers touching the food, or handing plates filled with food to other staff to bring to tables after we had just watched the same employee sweeping the floors and picking up garbage and then touching meals without washing hands. It was also really hard to get our waiter’s attention. Ultimately, I’d maybe come back for a drink, but this isn’t a great meal option for me, over rated and over priced for the quality.

I had the fruity flight which was really good and my burger and fries were delicious (forgot the name of the burger) it had chorizo and an egg. Everything I had was 10/10. My mom had the calamari salad and she absolutely loved it.

Great beer selection, the foods were superb. The restaurant gets pretty busy so make reservation ahead. We could have terrible time there but shot out to the manager Jeremy who showed the best customer service. He took care of us so well to fix the issue and the foods made us forgetting everything.

Great dinner. Photo is their pierogie dish...Best thing we ate there! We both had their specials and some seasonal desserts as well. Good stuff.

My boyfriend and I love to come here. Whenever we can’t decide on where to go to dinner, we always know we can agree on Mill House. The fried pickles here are also AMAZING. Probably the best fried pickles either of us have ever had.

Great Date night spot!! My waiter was spot on with his meal and beer combination suggestion!! We had reservations thank God would strongly urge that because the place was packed. We will definitely be returning. Support local businesses❤️

My husband recommended this place because he was there the night before and loved the fish and chips. This night we ordered the bang bang cauliflower, salmon on mixed greens salad and salmon dinner. We had no complaints on our meal. The bang bang cauliflower was OUTSTANDING. The staff was extremely friendly and fun. Food came out quick. The staff was attentive although it was late in the evening. I would come back.

Mill House always keeps it interesting. They put fun twists on classic American Bar food. One of my favorites is their bang bang cauliflower appetizer. My mom loves the fig and "pig" pizza. This time around, I ordered their chicken sandwich and it did not disappoint. I also tried a fruit beer which was tangy and tasty. They also have delicious desserts like the Twix cake and a banana tiramisu. If you're not comfortable dining indoors, they have plenty of outdoor space and they also have private party rooms upstairs. If you're in Poughkeepsie, don't pass them up!

I went there for a dinner with the Mid Hudson Food and Wine Society. We had a price fixed menu. Food was delicious & included a oyster appetizer, steak, or lobster gnocchi. Great presentation & restaurant had a warm & cozy atmosphere.

Nicole was a waitress, she was excellent. Her positive vibes were just what we needed on a stormy Saturday night. We brought friends from CT with us and we were all in agreement that the service was stellar and food was absolutely fantastic. Compliments to the chef. Highly recommend going to Mill House Brewing Company. Easy to use on line reservations. Staff is friendly. Atmosphere is great

Stopped by this place to check it out, very busy and crowded, popular spot in the area! I tried their fruity beer flight which were just ok, got an order of truffle shoe string fries too and mussels that were skippable. Overall not really impressed by the experience here. Friendly staff though!

The mushroom risotto was creamy and had the right amount of salt and earthy flavors. We also had the fig and pig pizza that had balsamic dressing. Delicious and only suggestion is to add more balsamic. The beer selection was great and had a vast selection of bourbon and other cocktails choices. Definitely will stop again if we are in poughkeepsie!

Excellent beer, had the October fest to go in one of their tin growlers. The Ruben Benedict was delicious. Sat inside but the outdoor Terrace seating looked good too.

Fantastic place! Great ambience, parking food, drinks and staff-- the whole package. Would highly recommend. We stopped in after hiking at Minnewaska and couldn't have been happier. Our server, B, was super attentive and had great nuanced recommendations. The Buffalo Brussel sprouts were awesome. I did a tasting flight and have to say that all 5 were above average. The Zoe Belgium and raspberry gose were exceptional. Will definitely visit again.

This is our new favorite brunch spot! With great ambiance and a laid back feel, we definitely did not know exactly what we were missing! Best picks: Everything!!!! Mimosa flights, bacon deviled eggs, chicken & waffles, KO wings, Buffalo fried Brussel sprouts, and the ultimate brekkie sandwich. Our portions were adequate if not substantial, and the flavor profiles were amazing! Bella is SIMPLY THE BEST WAITRESS and our kids loved her! Ask to be sat in her section and tell her Daisy sent ya!

This place has attitude! Fun, positive, and lively. Friendly staff (kudos to Chris). Fabulous food; fish and chips for me, reuben sandwich for my wife, both were perfect. Nice beer selection. Busy on Friday evening at 6pm but we easily found a couple of seats at the bar. Definitely want to come back someday!

First time here for me. Reserve a table so you can get a seat. Our table had the fried pickles. They were thinly sliced and crunchy with a little bite. I tried the Mill House Poutine, it was good. Another had Fish and Chips, generous portions of flaky Cod. Asian Chicken Salad was good. Would definitely go back.

I rented out the loft room, the top floor of the restaurant. The food was great. The staff were absolutely amazing. And Danielle the event coordinator was on point with everything that I had asked for for the event. Staff were super friendly everything came out on time and everybody enjoyed the party. I highly recommend this restaurant/venue for any type of gathering you have for special events.

Great brew pub with solid food. On the pricey side or would have given it 5 stars. Outdoor and indoor seating. Quick great service and really good combinations of the classics.

My son 30th birthday party. Always have a good time here. I had my 60th birthday here 3 years ago and had a wonderful time. Staff is great, good food and friendly atmosphere 😊

I don't really know if this is only meant to be a restaurant or bar - because it's half of neither. The space is huge and really nice but the staff are very funny if you're not getting food, even when it's 80% empty (they have 3 different dining rooms). Host wasn't great and waitress was lovely, would recommend maximizing space

I wanted to try so many things on this menu, so much of it appealed to me. The beer is house brewed and is very good and they have a decent amount of variety of styles. Everyone at the table was very happy with their food except one person. The service was decent but not top notch. It's very clean and upscale for a brewery, a little out of place in it's neighborhood. The prices were high, but whose aren't these days.

Visited few times always satisfied before but this time everything is mouthful of salt almost inedible. If this is their current standard I wouldn’t return.

Typical brewery experience. The food, service and atmosphere is above average. We had the bang bang cauliflower, lamb gyros, chicken sandwich and hot Nashville chicken salad and they were very good and would recommend them all. The cookie and ice cream dessert also was delicious. We were looking for a place close to Marist and I think we found it.

The food was really good. There was a great variety of choices for beer and drinks. There are so many things on the menu that I would like to try, but the bang bang cauliflower was delicious, and the brown sugar butter cake was TO! DIE! FOR!

Christmas Eve brunch was great and so much fun. The food was delicious and our server Jason was top-notch! The brussel sprouts & particularly the bang bang cauliflower were so good and definitely a must regardless of how you feel about either going in!! Looking forward to dining here again soon.

Excellent!! I sat at the bar with my family and we got 3 different cocktails from their menu. Pretzel bites were great, fried pickles were incredible — sliced super thin so they came out ultra crispy. Yum

Excellent service. Great beer decent hamburger. The beer a velvet stout was a tad sweeter than Guinness and less thick. But it was quite delicious. The hamburger, a blue cheese mushroom bacon burger was delightfully seasoned and had a perfect bacon mushroom blue cheese blended flavor. I took off a star because the burger tasted tough as in it was cooked under a meat press or plates. It also wasn't medium well but rather well done The server, Bella, set a standard of patience, service and grace. She was knowledgeable and attentive.

We tried 5 different dishes and shared them all. Every single one was delicious. We tried the KO wings, the crispy pierogi's, poutine, truffle mushroom pizza and buffalo chicken pizza. All I can say is wow! Service was great and if course all the drinks. Would recommend and go there again.

Went for a dinner with friends during the pandemic period on a Friday. Despite having a reservation we were made to wait for a fair bit which is understandable considering the lower capacity seating in place during Covid times but still annoying. The server was very engaging and happily provided genuine inputs when asked regarding menu items. They highly advocated for the award winning 50-50 burger which was a big let down unfortunately. Big fan of the pickles in fried dough from the appetizers. As expected for a brewery the beer flight was on point as well.

  • 3/5 Laura 3 years ago on Google
The food was very tasty. We got the poutine to start and then the lobster roll and chicken & waffles. Unfortunately, the chicken came out raw when we got it. They took it back and just recooked the same piece - I wish they had made it again fresh because the double fried chicken was tough and the waffle was cold by that point. It still tasted good. The other dishes were great. Overall a positive experience and good menu.

I’ve never had a bad meal here. I highly recommend the pizzas, margaritas, and the bang bang cauliflower. The beer selection is great, but I usually will get mixed drinks here because they’re so good. It’s definitely pricey, so we don’t come all that often, but always a good time when we do.

Excellent .....is how i would describe the service before covid -19. I frequently visited mill house brewery company and the service was excellent then, Since covid they have stepped it up providing out door eating arrangements quickly to accomodate their guest. They have participated in assisting the community as a company during COVID.. The beer , service, and connection to the community is EXCELLENT

Really nice bar and bartender. Great selection of beers and premium cocktails. We sat at the bar so we were forced to eat by law ( Cuomo Rules) even though we had dinner already, and chose a chocolate cheese cake. It was worth it! These days normalcy counts for alot and sitting at the bar having a drink and cheesecake was great. Definitely worth a stop in.

Came here for brunch for a double date, during limited dine in service. We made a reservation online, but there were plenty of tables that you were most likely be able to grab a table at your leisure. We finally came here after seeing their lucrative Instagram posts and reading the mixed reviews. The food was good. I ordered the French omelette, other ordered the breakfast bowl, burrito and Italian Stallion Omlette. For the prices of these meals, it left us feeling unsatisfied. I cannot lie, the food tasted good, but didn’t really seem worth the higher prices. This is coming from people who have gone to quite a few breweries. My partner and a friend were still hungry after their meals that they ordered the wings. Two of the three meals that had toast, didn’t get butter on their plates. And not to say we are heathens, but no hot sauce or ketchup was offered, nor did the waiter come by to ask. I understand that food is usually marked up, but quite honestly, some menu changes should be made. Make the menu smaller, make the prices a little more reasonable, and give good portions. I get food service/hospitality. Their drinks? Pretty damn good. It is a brewery. The mimosa flight was pretty good. I will have to say the strawberry and raspberry was the best. The blueberry and blackberry were okay, and the cherry tasted like a children’s cough syrup. If a food place is gonna have pretty pictures on their social media, live up to the hype. If we are in the area again, maybe we would try their dinner menu vs their brunch.
