Very nice and unique place. The drinks are good, atmosphere is great, music is played by pianist live, unique decoration. The only drawback is that you don’t actually understand the cocktails menu and the bar tender doesn’t have the time to spend to help you. So I just went with what he made for me.

THE best cocktail bar we've ever been to in any city. You just tell them the flavours you want and they'll do some magic to satisfy your taste buds. The cocktails are strong (they don't cheap out on the alcohol) BUT the alcohol taste is not noticeable at all. The cocktails themselves are amazing & have really good flavour. The staff are super nice & friendly. Our waiter Pavel was really kind, polite & attentive. He made really good recommendations on what to get and really hit the spot on what we liked. Overall we spent around 2hrs at the bar & around 5-6 cocktails. Make sure to ask your bartender/waiter what they can make outside of the menu too! We asked them to make us a long island iced tea & they made it perfectly. Perfect flavours, mix & strength. Prices are a bit on the high side but is very much worth it in my opinion. Would definitely come back when I visit Prague again

Amazing underground cocktail bar, hidden away amongst the hustle and bustle of the old square. The decor is exquisite with a mood to match telling the story of a legendary bartender and his diaries. The staff are attentive and friendly - the bar tender will come and sit with you to go through the cocktail menu but really I think he likes the challenge of you saying 'make me your recommendation'. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone but unfortunately no photos are allowed which is a real shame but what happens in the Black Angel stays in the Black Angel.

A really nice bar with the vibe of John Wick's Continental hotel. The staff seem to get a pretty thorough education on drinks and manage well to advise individually on what you like to drink. You can basically create your own cocktail with the waiter. We had 6 drinks in total, none of them were on the menu and all of them were amazing. Part of the fun of a holiday to most people is sharing photos with friends. I have an insta with over a 1000 followers and like to share stuff on there too. It is not like it was full of famous people and the paparazzi wanted to visit.

The cocktail mixologist here was the star of the show - she had all the skills and knowledge you’d want from someone working in a fine establishment like this. She was great to watch whilst at work - mixing, shaking, pouring from a height - it was an exhibition. We tried the bars take on an espresso martini and a rum based old fashioned and both were amazing. The bar itself is really cool, with a live piano player, a more mature crowd and a relaxed atmosphere. Highly highly recommend.

Really nice place. They don't allow you to take photos or anything but that's kind of nice as it keeps people off their phones. The pianist was a nice touch and was playing a lot of very popular tunes from a lot of well known artists so it made for a very fun atmosphere. The selection is unreal (if you can read the meni that is as it's so dark) but the staff were very knowledgeable and so really helpful for you to make a choice. It's pricey but it's just that kind of a place that just has that little extra that other places don't. It was nice to stay for a couple of drinks at the end of an evening before heading back to our hotel. It's quite buzzing so we enjoyed it.

Didn’t even manage to go in because we felt so intimidated!! Me and my boyfriend decided after reading reviews we’d like to come here for a few drinks for the evening. We walked in and just followed the crowd, who were all going downstairs, we thought we’d follow as we assumed this was where you got your drinks and could sit. There were no signs for us to follow and no staff that we could see to ask hence why we followed the crowd. There was a man stood at the top of the stairs, it looked as though he was just waiting for someone as he wasn’t in any uniform just normal clothes. We went to head downstairs following a couple in front of us and my boyfriend was rudely interrupted by this man at the top of the stairs who literally threw his hand out onto my boyfriends chest and told him we couldn’t go down there. He didn’t give us a reason at first, we thought it was because we didn’t say how many the table was for, so we said table for 2 and he still kept his arm on my boyfriends chest and told us no. We asked why and what we had done wrong to which he shouted at us ‘No coats, put them in the cloakroom now’. Considering it’s Prague in November and is 4° and under in the evenings, we did not expect to have to take our coats off and that be a reason we weren’t allowed in. This guy was extremely rude, the way he spoke to us and how he stopped us from going down the stairs to the bar with no explanation at first! We literally felt like criminals. There were no signs stating that coats were not allowed in the bar and we also checked the bar rules on their website prior to coming here, again this did not state that coats were not allowed in the bar. We felt so intimidated by this guy that we just left and went elsewhere where we felt a lot more comfortable. Not sure if it was because we were English? Cannot go around speaking to customers like that, or you’ll loose them. Think this man needs a serious word had with his manager, disgusting behaviour if i’m honest. Will not be recommending this bar to any of my friends or family who are planning on coming to Prague in the near future. Very disappointed and upset. Extremely rude, glad we didn’t waste our money in this place. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

This is mine and my husband's favourite cocktail bar. The atmosphere and service are always so great and the drinks menu is to die for! Although it's a little pricey depending on the drink you choose, there is something for everybody and it's possible to order anything from a simple beer to a €60 glass of whiskey. There is a choice of seating either at the bar or at a table and there are so many quirky nooks, crannies and little intrigues all over the place to draw your eye. Cocktails are prepared and mixed in a traditional way and the experience is always so luxurious but you can enjoy it even if you are on a budget.

It was a pleasure to watch how he‘s making the cocktails, he was a mix out of an artist and a magician. I have stayed at the Hotel U Prince dozens of times over the last 20 years. The Black Angel was a hidden gem back then and a true treasure of a find! Over the years, "The Angel" has become recognized as one of the best in the world and yet they have not lost any of that charm/warmth I experienced way back in the late 1990's. The bar is in the basement of the hotel and has a very unique ambiance. There was a piano player adding to the atmosphere. The drinks were wonderful and the service was amazing. The menu is thick and each drink has a story so it was slightly overwhelming at first but I enjoyed every thing I ordered and the bartender can easily guide you. Try the Building Treasure it is a little more expensive than the other drinks but well worth it. Side note I believe the only toilet is a pay one so while the bar takes credit you will want to bring some cash.

The decor is stunning and make sure you read the menu and understand where it is your sitting. They have live music which is heard no matter where you in. Thank you for the lovely experience!

I was recently(tonight) there and this server who was nice before when we were ordering many expensive drinks came out of nowhere to tell me I could not take a picture of my wife because it was past 10pm !!!!
