I loved this place for several years, but the owner doesn't deserve to have this bar. The staff made it amazing and were the reason we all went there. He mentally abused them, underpaid them or didn't even pay them at all, refused to give them legal employment, etc. While they ran the bar and he was never anywhere to be seen. After firing a favourite employee on the spot in front of the entire bar (over the phone because of course he is never there), everyone walked out and will never go there again as long as he, Roman Martinek, is the owner.

The owner is treating hardworking employees like absolute garbage - underpaying, not paying, mentally abusing and screaming at them and not hiring more staff to keep up with the customers. Recently bartender was fired on spot after demanding pay for 2 months in front of everyone over phone. Please boycott this place.

This place doesn't deserve your patronage, the owners fire people over text in a middle of a shift. Avoid it as a plague. If it was an option would give 0 stars.

I was going here regularly for a few years because it was truly a queer haven, but I'm really sad to say that it is no longer a friendly & respectful queer space. The owner neglects the bar and his workers, while also expecting them to run the place for him without any support. His workers are then left with a limited inventory and a faulty structure to deal with, while also working very long hours for very little pay and sometimes no pay at all. He recently fired my dear friend through text message, while he was working his shift because he asked to be paid his full amount for the time he worked. I've seen the poor state of the bar for some time and the only reason I've continued to go back, is because of the amazing people working there. Since they've all been forced to leave because of the ill treatment, I don't really see any reason to go back. I urge everyone to not visit this bar or give them any support through organized events. Please help us show the people running it that this kind of gaslighting and disrespectful behavior is unacceptable within our community.

With every new visit, I love this place even more and more. Great drinks, EXTREMELY friendly bartenders (really, they’re all lovely and beautiful people), nice and clean design, amazing atmosphere. Places such as Patra are the definition of safe space for LGBTQ+ people, unlike the majority of other queer bars and clubs in Prague. This is how it’s supposed to be. Friends, TerMIX and others, y’all should watch and learn. I’m so grateful that this place exists and to all the people that make it happen. Thank you.

Once the owners true colors showed up i regret giving any money to patra. Should've bought cheap wine and sing in the shower at home instead... if they ever re-open, do not go there. Oh and don't get me started on the way they treat their employees. So very dissapointing...

since the French bartender is gone, Patra isn’t a nice queer space for me anymore. Wish you hired more people like him

We were wholly disappointed by the cocktails here - the old fashioned was half the size of the typical short drink. Meanwhile the Moscow mule was primarily water. Empty place around 7:30PM and the minimal food menu had items unavailable.

For many years, this was my bar of choice when I had friends visiting the city, celebrated birthdays of some friends or had some chill out evenings. Recent controversy about working conditions for employees and high staff turnover have really made this place feel unwelcoming and cold, so unfortunately I don’t recommend this bar anymore.

What used to be a safe place for queers to gather has been proven not to be the case anymore. The owner is very toxic, xenophobic, and abusive towards his employees and former patrons. Please find somewhere else to spend your time and money.

Nicest staff ever, the lovely ginger-haired person who attended us was so kind and welcoming. Safe space for Queers, prices are more than okay, and the environment is cozy. Totally recommendable to go have a drink and spend your time there!

I was staying at the nearby hostel and as a solo traveler it's not always easy to connect with strangers at a bar but the people at Patra welcomed me so warmly it felt like I'd known them for years. It's a great, inclusive community of regulars and I cannot recommend this bar enough! Thank you for a great night, I'll definitely come back!

Unfortunately I have to add a confirmation to the previous comment left by Tania Rybachyk. The reply left Under her comment denies the situation. Though it would have been nice if the owner would at least ask to specify the details of the order to be so sure that mistake didn’t happen. I was sitting in the same table and after double checking with the group of people who sat with us we’re sure that there was a mistake. We collectively discussed and remember who had what. Yet, somehow +3 cocktails were added to the separate checks. If needed, we can prove the mistake with the checks. It’s a shame that I had to leave this comment. We all really loved the place. It was great until we all got confused about extra items in the check.

We came in here for a quiet drink and ended up staying the entire evening. Radovan and the rest of the staff made our night such a joy, and recommended us a lovely place to eat (conductor!) and made our night such a nice one. A lovely bar with lovely people, would recommend 🥰

Terrible place! The karaoke is fun but other than that It is a terrible place to be. 1. The worst beer I've had in the CZ. Please sell normal beer!! All my friends commented on the bad taste of the beer. 2. 10min queue to get a beer. I could drink only one in the whole evening. 3. No AC! It is super hot inside. 40ppl trying to get air from 2 mini ventilators for the entire bar. Most people just stayed outside 4. Bad service. I went for a birthday and brought a cake. We asked for forks sice we brought plates. They said they didnt have even when they were visible 5. It is impossible to talk. It is a place for 20ppl I guess but there were like 50ppl. So you will have to stand up or stay outside. 6. No food or snacks. If you go for a beer you always have the option to buy some snacks at least... Not here!

👍👍 For me, the best place to eat in Prague. Not only drinks, but also foods arrive at your table on trains. On some tables, trains return to even take empty plates! On top of that - the food is delicious, same goes for drink. The staff is very kind and polite. I definitely recommend this place.
