Incredibly tasty national dishes, large back garden, friendly staff... This place is definitely a must go if you're around

I've visited this place more than 15 times. It's by far one of the best Czech restaurants in the whole city. Portion sizes are huge (as you can see in the photos) and delicious. Totally recommended!

Very very very good food!!! However there was an extremely rude, crazy blonde waitress that not only was very rude to us by taking offense to my boyfriend politely calling her “madam” (which is normal in our country), she also dropped a dirty fork on me, and I was extremely nice to her about it. THEN she didn’t see that we left the tip on the table and thought that we didn’t and literally glared at us so harshly it created a scene in the restaurant. We left her a 10%+ plus tip despite those actions (dropping a fork on me and her getting offended at my boyfriend for being polite) but she still created a scene that because she stupidly thought we were rude and didn’t tip. Well we did tip (even though we shouldn’t have) because we are not rude like her - but will never come back.

First of all, service was great. Staff was nice and kind also foreigner friendly/English speaking. Cozy atmosphere, tasty food and big portions. Highly recommended.

Excellent! I wish I hadn't waited until my last day to go here because it was so good/affordable and I would have loved to go again. The place had a great vibe and really nice service. The portions are HUGE, but they packed up our meals so we could take them with us. The carrot soup was out of this world and the cabbage fritters (?) were also excellent. But honestly everything we ordered was crazy delish.

All foreigners were given daily menus in English but when we were paying we noticed a Czech menu that listed items for a lot cheaper. The locals sitting at tables near us were given this menu, although their food was simpler (e.g rice instead of carlsbad dumplings), it also arrived a lot faster and was cheaper. The food was just average (beef was tough) and so I would not recommend this restaurant considering the price (approx. 12 euros per dish)

The best dinner I’ve had in Prague. I’ve been in this city several times, I must say the best food I’ve had so far. I would strongly recommend to book before going, we were lucky to have one free table. Interior atmosphere is giving you very cosy feeling once you enter in. Food is really good and service is also nice not pushy but very much caring waitress. I would definitely come here again.

Favorite meal & restaurant of our recent trip to Prague, Vienna & Cologne. I had the braised beef stew & my spouse had duck in a cherry sauce with potatoes. The price was very reasonable, the service was top notch & the atmosphere was perfect in this quaint setting.
