Visited this place from a YouTube recommendation (Honest Guide Prague) and this place was great! I visited it twice, and the staff very friendly both of the times. The service is fast. They have two levels in the restaurant, and during summer, the balcony on the upper level is also open for seating. Do try to get a table in the balcony as the view from here is amazing. They also have an Instagram page where you can see how each of their dishes look, and their ingredients/nutrition value. They have daily specials apart from the fixed menu, and also have a changing menu for soups and other dishes. Definitely worth a try for vegan food.

Excellent place with a nice view of the castle and friendly service. However, a constructive criticism of the food is that the tomato based dishes were too tangy and quite devoid of any herbs or spices. Not sure if this is something particular to Czech food, but adding some would greatly enhance the dining experience.

Really lovely vegan spot in the area of Prague Castle. What better way to reward yourself for all the stairs you've climbed than to stop there for lunch on your way down to Charle's Bridge? We enjoyed the soup of the day, Signature Mini burgers and lemonades. Everything was so tasty. The staff are very friendly and polite, they looked after us well. Unless it is such a hot August afternoon (as it was when we visited, you might wish to dine on the outdoor terrace whilst enjoying beautiful views of Hradčany. To conclude, yes, I would absolutely recommend this place to vegans and non vegans alike. My mum is not vegan, yet she loved the food.

Adorable little cafe near the Prague castle. It's a bit of a climb to get to it but well worth it. Service is great! We went for dessert and ordered the chocolate cheesecake. There's a little patio and view. They have lots of Czech specialties that they have veganized. We didn't eat them on this trip but they smelled really good!!

Good but nothing exceptional. As for a restaurant specialized on vegan food I was expecting more. Portions were good size, service very kind. Maybe waiting time a bit too long. Beer very good.Food was rather simple, not that much flavour. Difficult parking.

Vegan's Prague is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of Prague, and I cannot sing its praises enough. The Starter Mix Plate had a myriad of delectable flavors. My partner opted for the special burger, a decision he did not regret. However, the star of the show was the Gluten-free Zucchini Lasagna. It was a perfect blend of savory goodness that had me coming back for seconds the very next night. 😂 On our second and last night in Prague, we again opted for the allure of the Starter Mix Plate, which was irresistible, and our taste buds were again treated to a sensational array of plant-based delights. The Gluten-free Zucchini Lasagna made a triumphant return to our table, and I have to confess, having it two nights in a row was an indulgence I'd gladly repeat. The culinary sorcery at Vegan's Prague extends beyond savory dishes to desserts. The Blueberry and Carrot Raw Cake was a revelation, a sweet finale that left me with a lingering sense of contentment. Each bite was a testament to the creativity and skill of the chefs. The ambiance of the restaurant is another feather in its cap. Perched at the top of an old building, the space exudes charm with its wooden, hand-painted ceiling and a view of the cobblestone street below. If you find yourself in Prague and have a penchant for extraordinary vegan cuisine, Vegan's Prague is an absolute must-visit. The dedication to flavors, the impeccable presentation, and the charming setting create an unforgettable dining experience. Take the chance to savor the magic this establishment effortlessly weaves into every dish.

I absolutely love Vegan's Prague! It's obvious they took their time to make sure that all of their menu items were really well made and deliciously vegan! If you plan on checking them out, I'd really recommend the burgers or lasagna, they are phenomenal! The price was fantastic for the quality and amount you get. The waiters were friendly and the place was well lit and warm. I'd definitely recommend checking them out, you won't be sorry.

Great place, very cozy with healthy delicious food. Staff very welcoming and nice! I had a traditional Czech sour soup with mushrooms and potato - amazing! Buddha bowl, home-made orange lemonade and hot chocolate, portions are big, I couldn’t finish my bowl😋 highly recommend and will def go there again during the day for a beautiful rooftop view to the city.

We had an exceptional experience at Vegan’s Prague. I was so happy to find a restaurant offering vegan versions of traditional Czech cuisine. I was excited to be able to try Czech food and this place did not disappoint! We ordered the svíčková with dumplings and the daily special, which was a burger made from pumpkin, chickpeas, and loaded with veggie goodness. For dessert, we had fruity dumplings. Everything was absolutely delicious! Even my non-vegetarian husband agreed! Beyond the food, the service was really wonderful. Our server was very welcoming and attentive. Plus, the views from the upper floor were great. In short, Vegan’s Prague is a total gem and I will definitely be returning on my next visit to Prague!

Hidden vegan jewel in Prague 😅 eating vegan or even vegetarian was complicated for me, specifically in touristic places, and when I found this restaurant, I was very happy about it. The food is all organic, and their burger patties I think are homemade, I was glad to eat healthy like that. The potatoes were baked very nicely, and the burger was tasty. I'd definitely go again 😊 thank you to the friendly staff ❤️

It was wonderful to enjoy the traditional dishes, as a travelling vegan this is a rarity and much appreciated. It was a winding, adventurous walk up several flights of steps to get into the restaurant. The service was excellent and well worth tipping. Prices are a heavy penny, but less than most of the surrounding tourist traps.

Tough walk up to the restaurant but it was so worth it. I love these kind of slightly hidden restaurants that you have to make a special journey for. It was a cute and clean little place with two floors. We sat upstairs and stepped out to the balcony which was great, even in the rain. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was good but not great, just my own opinion though.

Good vegan restaurant allowing us to discover Czech meat specialties. But we enjoyed our return, even if their "dumpling" is bread stuffed... with bread! I still recommend it!

In short amazing vegan food. But deeply much more than what I can fit in a 5stars review. As a non binary person have someone from the staff, Pavlina, asking and talk with you about “beyond the gender binary” makes this space a home and a safe space for me little queer self. A non confirming restaurant where food is for everyone! Isn’t that a punch on normative capitalist society?! THANK YOU 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Really lovely fully vegan restaurant near Prague Castle. We decided to try the mini burgers and side salad. As you can see, the mini burgers were definitely not mini. They were delicious but we ended up wasting so much as they were so big. We wished we'd ordered 1 between us. We were told that we could have it boxed up if we wanted to though. The only negative taste wise was the strong taste of coconut in the mayonnaise. It would have been better without a coconut based sauce.

I am so happy we found this place! It’s really good to be able to try some actual local food as a vegan. The cakes were really amazing. It was served quickly and with a smile. Beware of the long stairs! But don’t worry, it’s really worth it.

Once again in Prague, a hidden gem presents itself. We saw a sign for Vegan restaurant, and after a lot of stairs this amazing restaurant was our reward. It has a really nice and friendly staff. The food is great. And sitting outside on the balcony looking at the Prague castle is perfect. I recommend this place.

What an awesome lunch we had. We saw the restaurant from near the Castle. Looking down we saw a sign on their rooftop terrace. We climbed many stairs to get there but it was worth it. The staff was fun, they had awesome 80s music playing. And the food was outstanding. We may go back before leaving Prague. My daughter had an amazing burger and I had the sweet potato.

Cool place for vegans but not only. Situated in really nice and old building. Interesting interior and super nice staff. Food was really good but the size of portion was rather small. Delicious though!

Appetite generating uphill walk and then the spiral stone staircase are worth the effort to get this meal. Beautiful food. God blessed us to find this place 🙏🏾 We were ready to give up but persevered to the top. Great lemonade and a bit of a view. The staff were friendly and efficient dealing with 5 kids and 3 adults (so 2 families). Everyone enjoyed 😋

Best vegan food we had in Prague! Really big portions as well and friendly staff. If it's warm outside you can sit on the terrace with a beautiful view of the castle. Will definitely visit again. :)

There are a lot of stairs! Having said that, you know the reward will be that much better. If you’re visiting in a season that allows outdoor seating, that’s what I would choose. We were in winter so we chose to sit at the top floor. The soup of the day with the bread was excellent! Definitely homemade - everything. The “side” salad was a good size. We also had the burger of the day which had an amazing purple sauce, truly artistic and yummy. The only disappointment was the goulash. It wasn’t to our liking. The dumplings were more like VERY white bread than what we know as dumplings (lived in Asia for 30 years). We’ll return to try other items on the menu.

Unfortunately, a slight disappointment. We had to wait over 15 minutes for a table, which is fully understandable, after all, the staff won't conjure up something new for us, but we were given a menu so we could choose something in advance, which was nice. What is moderately acceptable is that after getting a table, we had to wait almost another 15 minutes for someone to take our order, especially since we had a menu in advance. We also waited quite a long time for the food, but honestly, the place was full. No one will come to us with the bill either, we have to go to the bar ourselves. Semi-self-service. Just food? Tasty, but it is unlikely to impress someone who has had experience with high-quality vegan cuisine. I definitely don't understand the value for money, the place is very expensive for what it offers. Goulash with soy cubes for 330 crowns is a very high price. If you want to try vegan food in a good location, it's probably worth visiting this place. If you are familiar with vegan cuisine, you will probably be disappointed. But let's not say that I'm just complaining - the place offers good gluten-free beer, which is extremely rare. It's tasty and straight from the keg, very nice.

We stopped into Vegan's Prague after our tour of the Palace and wow! It was so amazing. I got the Svíčková and my husband got the goulash with cabbage which both came with the traditional bread dumplings, we also got the seasonal fruit dumplings for dessert (apricot) which were warm and sweet. All the food was so flavorful and filling. It was so nice to have some Czech staples veganized so we could enjoy them.

Friendly staff who speak great English and are very welcoming. Lots of nice options on the menu for vegetarians and vegans. I went for the avocado tartar which was one of the cheapest items on the menu and certainly worth the money with the amount of avocado you get! Just be warned you have to go up a lot of stairs to get to the restaurant and then in the restaurant there are even more stairs, or you can opt to stay on that level. The coffee was also very tasty and stayed warm for ages ☕ definitely recommend stopping on the way heading back down from the Prague Castle.

Every time I come to Prague, I take a trip there. And every time, I enjoy it! The best dishes are their plant-based versions of Czech specialties, on the first page of the menu. The raw cake is also worth the detour!

Excellent food and service. We were a party of 2 visiting at around 14:30. Restaurant has lots of seating and is located up approximately 3 flights of stairs. Staff all spoke English and menu were in both English and Czech. For starters we had a soup of the day each and shared a portion of bread (4 slices). The soup was Mushroom and was packed with flavour. Portion was well sized and filled us up so much! For mains I had a Sweet Potato with Guacamole and it was fantastic! It was the perfect portion size and had me craving more. Wait-staff were excellent throughout. Overall, food and service were excellent. Certainly would visit again.

Love! I had the mini burger variation for main and it was insane, each one so unique and so organically healthy! I had soup of the day, carrot for starter and this was one of the best vegan soups I’ve had!! This is a very healthy plant-based restaurant. Be prepared for the stairs all the way up to the restaurant! It’s also very affordable :)

This is one of the best vegan restaurants I have been to ever. I have travelled the world looking for vegan food for the last 6 years and this is truly amongst the best tasting and presented food! The staff speaks perfect English, and the location is awesome! the entrance leads to stairs that make you think you are walking in Hogwarts! Plus their terrace has a view on the caste!

  • 5/5 Nathan G. 3 years ago on Google
This is our new favorite vegan restaurant in Prague! Every single item we ordered was fresh and delicious - this is how vegan food SHOULD ALWAYS BE. We also loved that the menu included traditional Czech dishes made vegan-style (we tried the dumplings with a butternut squash sauce, it was SO good). We also tried the appetizer platter and the baked sweet potato with guacamole - so flavorful and satisfying. We only wish we had more room for dessert so we could try one of the raw fruit cakes! We will absolutely be back. TIP: request a table on the rooftop - the view of Malá Strana and the castle walls is a perfect complement to the meal. :) Don't wait, GO HERE!!!

  • 5/5 Kim S. 3 years ago on Google
A wonderful lunch experience! The terrace is small but nice and with castle view. We enjoyed the vegan goulash as well as the sweet potato with guacamole. The homemade lemonade was outstanding. The service was really good too. The blonde girl (we didn‘t get her name) gave us some vegan restaurant recommendations. We visited two of those and really liked them. Thank you!

Stunner! We went there for lunch and were completely blown away. The location is superb - very clean and modern. On the rooftop terrace you can enjoy nice views of Prague Castle. Service is very friendly and quick. Food is amazing as well. I can highly recommend the Avocado Tartar as a starter. The options for main dishes are all great. Don‘t miss out eating here, even if you are not vegan. Maybe afterwards you are!

Make sure to visit this place! Well curated dishes and a menu different from all the rest in the city. The price justify the job in be creative with food, having a great service and the stunning terrace of you are lucky enough to get a table outside (reservation recommended). Zucchini lasagna is a must try!! I gave 4 stars because although the service was great I don’t like when the waitress is cleaning the dirty plates on the table while one of the people is still eating.

Unfortunately quite a disappointment. We went there very hungry for a celebratory dinner as we are trying out all vegans restaurants we are able to visit. The staff and the place and it's both interior and terrace were great but I don't think we'll come back for the food again. The portions were really small for such price. It's not sweet potatoes but only one undercooked potato with only a bit of cheap tasting filling and the whole thing looked like a children's meal shaped as some kind of dinosaur (which would be actually cool if it looked nicer) but here almost for 300Kč. Similar for sweet dumplings that were not that horrible but still looked very cheaply and plain and could have more sauce. Pity that we were too tired and hungry to complaint about it straight away. We know quite a few vegan restaurants not that far away where you can eat better quality and nicer looking food for even much less money. So I guess that's our one and only visit of Vegan's.

(Translated by Google) I go on vacation to Prague once a year and I always look forward to going out to eat here. I can only think of one thing about Vegan's Prague. Just fantastic! Know the Czech cuisine from childhood and I have to say how especially the Czech national dishes were implemented as vegetarian is simply unbelievable! We had friends with us who are normal eaters and they were absolutely thrilled too! We had a special taste experience with the desserts. The no bake mango cake is indescribable. The poppy seed cake is a dream too. Only the price of 150Kc is heavy. But you get a full meal elsewhere. What the heck it was a special treat. We are already looking forward to next year 😉 (Original) Ich mache einmal im Jahr Urlaub in Prag und freue mich jedes mal darauf hier essen zu gehen. (Translated by Google) Just incredibly cute - really recommendable. As vegans looking for an appealing restaurant during our Prague vacation, we came across Vegan's. After a small, creaky spiral staircase, you feel more like in a small little roof terrace apartment than in a restaurant. We got a place on the terrace, where the other guests have already told us their recommendation;) The waitresses were both super personable and open to small conversations - and obviously had a lot of fun with their work. We ordered the vegan lasagna and the "goulash". Since I couldn't quite manage my large portion - I had a delicious dinner straight away. Really highly recommended for people - especially vegans - who are looking for a good and unique restaurant. Tip: try to get a place on the roof terrace when the weather is good!

Fantastic food, so delicious. My bf who is not vegan (or veggie) loved it so much. Highly reccomend the lasagne was so garlicky and delish.

(Translated by Google) Very tasty and fresh dishes. That convinced me as a not vegan or vegetarian myself. In addition, a nice view on the terrace (if you are lucky and get a place on the terrace). The prices are perfectly fine.

I don’t know what was better - the food, amazing views of the Prague Castle or friendliness of the staff. What a hidden treasure just few steps from the Prague Castle. You can try Czech specials in vegan versions, portions are nice and prices very reasonable especially given the area. Very recommended!

It was a really nice experience to eat here. The staff was very nice to us. I recommend sitting outside at the top. The view there was impressive.

Fantastic place. Since the czech cuisine is very meaty we were sooo happy to find this place and finally vegan goulash <3 ! Really great food and the service was very very nice and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. Can highly recommend this place. We will back for sure next time in Prague.

Awesome view. Good vegan food. Not the Best, but it did taste good. Out of the 3 burgers the one with potatto bun was very interesting

Visiting Prague for the first time, such a beautiful city! We researched places before we went and visited "Vegan's Prague". We had the GF Burger which is An Open Gluten Free Burger, Gratin Potatoes, Tomato, Caramelized Onion, Rocket, Tofu and Carrots with a glass of Homemade Lemonade which is Organic 100% Grape. Very tasty, a little bit expensive but we were able to sit on the balcony which had a lovely view.

Prague's vegan scene is constantly developing, you can find always a new restaurant, a few vegan stores and more and more omnivore businesses also offer vegan options for an affordable price. However, Vegan's Prague is like an institution, a fantastic place, offering great food made from local and organic suppliers, a great service experience and all in the setting of being right next to the city's castle, overlooking the roofs of the area from their sunny roof terrace. Before we went to this restaurant we already tried other vegetarian/vegan places to get a proper vegan Szegedin Goulash with traditional dumplings, but couldn't find anywhere. However, since the kitchen crew and chef of Vegan's Prague prepare everything themselves, we got exactly what we were searching for - and it even got beyond our expectations! Next to the Goulash we also had the dumplings with Svickova in a pumpkin sauce - also absolutely delicious. As desert (even though we were actually pretty well stuffed) we ordered warm knedlik filled with blueberries and a piece of Sacher cake with an apricot layer, chocolate topping and because the piece of Sacher was a bit dry, were also served with additional apricot sauce. So - if you are going to Prague for traditional food, you are vegan and you want an unforgettable experience - this is the place. Next time we are in town we will try also the other things from the rich menu. Thanks again to the staff of Vegan's Prague for this experience - and their cute dog that provided us company. :)

What might seem to be a tourist trap turns out to be an amazing place to satisfy your veggie cravings and enjoy a spectacular view of the Prague castle. Friendly staff and food so good I didn’t manage to take a pic of it. Definitely coming back again.

Great experience. We came for lunch and set in balcony in front of beautiful view. we had the Avocado tartar which was very good, burger and Gulash. the service was very nice and the dessert, Caramel cake, was excellent. i gave only 4 stars because the main dishes could do better, but great place.

From our trip this was the best restaurant we visited. The whole package was just perfect - the Food, the Service, the view. You will not regret it! Highly recommend!

Tasty food and the service was quick and friendly. It is for sure a really good place to eat healthy in the neighborhood. The Buddha Bowl is rather big : good price-quality ratio. The view and the restaurant are very lovely

It’s in a historic building and you have to go through numerous hallways and sets of twisty stairs to get into the restaurant, so it’s not exactly accessible, but for those of us able to get in, the dramatic entrance added to the fun. Once inside, I was given an English version of the menu and very good service by a fluent English speaker. I had something from the list of traditional Czech items and it was very delicious and filling. I would have gone back a different day just for dessert if I had more time in Prague!

We went here for my vegan gf, but I honestly was impressed with how good the food was! We ordered the potato dumplings and lasagna and both were amazing! The staff is awesome as well! Five stars easily

I come here every time I visit Prague. They have very tasty versions of traditional czech dishes. (I must know for I am half Czech myself.) This time I had a gulash. It was wonderful, the salad too, the beer too. Highly recommandable.

Got a lentil soup with bread and Czech gulash with cabbage and bread dumplings. Food was decent, worth eating. Located near to Prague castle grounds. Hosts/staff were very friendly. There is a restroom and they accept cards.

Amazing vegan place close to the Prague castle. The access to this place is up a long flight of stairs but the climb was worth it. Their food was amazing. The waiters were patient and nice. I ordered the triple mini burgers and all 3 were great. The lemonade is a must have, tasted like a mojito without liquor. If you're ever in prague, check this place out.

Nice place with fully vegan menu. The food is not amazing, but it's good. I would recommend to go more wild with spices to create a journey of taste. But the service was really friendly.

Prague’s vegan paradise with stunning view. I visited this cozy restaurant with my sister for the second time on Christmas Day 🎄. As a start, I love the fact they were open, because it is lovely not cook at home on Christmas. And the food…🤤🤩😍 they had 2 daily specials as mains that we tried - potato salad with bean patties and Bad Santa burger. They were both absolutely phenomenal, the portions are just perfect and the staff is very polite and friendly. The restaurant has two floors and the upstairs is like a little attic, but it’s light and airy and it has a terrace. The place has such a welcoming and cosy vibe I felt like I don’t even want to leave. Super highly recommended and I will definitely come back yet again! ⭐️✨

Amazing vegan food, we tried local Czech food but vegan version and it was yummy. And the cake!!! Cake was the highlight of our lunch. View from the terrace was also amazing. 👌 we truely enjoyed our meal with the view.

This delicious food finally convinced my boyfriend of vegan food! It's all homemade and they have traditional vegan food - what a win! Beside of that the owner is working there still and everyone is super friendly. Outside and inside eating possible, decoration is super cute ✨ Always and ever again! 🥳 p.s. these are the mixed starters 😍

We had a birthday dinner with our son here. We are not vegan's/vegetarians but we wanted to have something different and we love meals full of vegetables. You must be in good condition, since you need to climb stairs but from terrace is nice and unique view on Prague castle. Interior is simple same like menu selection but everything was tasty . Very good service, Everything was fast and smooth. Overall good experience and OK prices comparing to Prague average.

This is one of the best vegan restaurants we have been to. It's at the top of several flights of stairs and worth the effort, and more, when you get there. The staff, the food and the environment are sublime. The manager was welcoming and friendly and we shared stories of our half marathon experiences that morning as we were both hobbling! The menu is totally vegan. We had a shared starter, the daily special and finished with dessert plum dumplings. I recommend the dumplings even if you are full - I have never tasted anything like them They even had non-alcoholic beer. Everything was fresh, cooked superbly and tasted wonderful. The bill was £60 for everything. Go!!! That's all I can say - even if you're not vegan or vegetarian.

We visited this restaurant during our 4 day stay at Prague. Tried the traditional goulash which was good and the coconut curry which was awesome. Staff is friendly and attentive and service is fast. Overall a pleasant experience.

I was looking forward to try traditional Czech dishes made in a vegan way, however, I was not impressed. The meat substitute tasted like canned/tin food. Unfortunately, it wasn't my cup of tea. My friend got a burger which tasted good.

Pricey for Prague! Good view though from the balcony and inside the upper floor. Food also took quite a while to come. The burger was really nice per my girlfriend, with a hefty portion too. The cabbage goulash wasn't as good - the stew mostly just tasted like smoke.

60 steps to a vegan paradise! (75 to the terrace, with views). It is well worth it. Between two of us we shared the starter platter, the mini burgers and raw chocolate and pomegranate cake. Really tasty food, well worth a try for non-vegans too. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly service.

The views were amqzing and it was walking distance from the Prague castle which was very convenient for us. We ordered the starter platter, burge, homemade lemonade and goulash. The burger was really good.

A nice expensive vegan restaurant with a beautiful view of the castle from the balcony and food that could have been better – at least the plates that I ordered. It's a steep climb to the restaurant's door, and then a steeper climb up the stairs to the restaurant itself. The service is friendly and informal. The view from the balcony is unmatched, but it comes at a price – no shadow in a hot day, annoying bees coveting my food, and unclean tables (birds, you know). But the view was totally worth it. The house bread with avocado dip was nothing special. The goulash did not overwhelm me either (and having these two dishes together was way too much bread – the staff could have said something about that). But then again, what a view!

You have to go up many stairs till you reach the place. They have a small teracce to sit outside and are located near the castle. We had the traditional gulasch. The portion was quite big and delicious! But the price was high for Prague. I don't feel the need to go there again.

Nice place that offers traditional cousine in vegan version, food is delicious. I just hoped for more positions from traditional czech cuisine (currently only 3). Very kind service too

Vegan's Prague is a delightful restaurant located in the heart of Prague. This place is a must-visit for any vegan foodie! As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, lovely friendly staff who make you feel welcome from the moment you step in. It's cosy and relaxed inside whether seated upstairs or down, good taste in music too! The food here is amazing, the service is top notch and I couldn't recommend this place enough. Vegan's Prague is my favourite place to go for the best vegan food in Prague and I can't wait to be back again🌱💚

The restaurant was very good, the food was tasty and filling, definitely will go again, I had a cabbage goulash with soy pieces and 4 home made bread pieces. Would recommend! It’s not handicapped-friendly, to get to the restaurant you have to go up a lot of stairs, so if you are in a wheelchair or have a leg injury I would recommend going somewhere else. Our table wobbled a little and the chairs/tables could be improved, but I think that’s also personal preference and what matters is the food, which was good.

The prices are too high, the food is average or even below average (the burgers look and taste as if I made them myself at home), the staff were dressed in tracksuits and t-shirts and the spaces upstairs were absolutely horrible - I felt like I was somewhere in a bistro or a pastry shop...definitely it's not worth it
