Pretty good place for beer ruined by impolite staff and service. I went in just for a beer and asked if I could have it in the garden area without needing a table. I was told table is mandatory so I waited and got a table. Had a beer and dessert, the lady serving us was pretty rude from the start. When I was ready to pay, she said that bill was too 'small' and she wouldn't accept a card - this is not mentioned anywhere in the restaurant and no heads-up was given to us. She forced me to pay CZK 200 even though the bill was 166 and said 'it's just 8 Euros so it shouldn't matter to you'. Terrible service and I wouldn't go back here! P.S. I have seen a few reviews talking about racism and I guess this might be another case!

Very very good restaurant in the middle the old town. Very nice service and good food. I’ve been here for two times and it was really good and delicious. The prices and the service is really great, fast and awesome. Thanks a lot for the good food and beer. You have to try the traditional starters and definitely the Tartar - awesome and fresh. ❤️

Out of the authentic restaurants to try in Prague. This one here is a must. The ambience when you hear walking in of the bar at your right is just awesome. Now for the food. First things first they take card and euros just incase you didn't exchange them. The fried bread with meat was phenomenal. Additionally the potato pancakes were airy and had that good blend of spices. My favorite is the bread in that buttery, decadent sauce. For the review I gave it a 8.4 out of 10 on that 🔥 scale. I thought for a meat dish I would of gotten a bigger portion. All in all the flavor and atmosphere made up for it. Would give it another try definitely.

Came here based on many recommendations for traditional Czech food options. The dishes were delicious and reasonably priced. Be sure to make reservations especially on weekends or holidays.

I was there twice and had basically the same experience both times. The food is extremely good (we ordered a total of about 7 different plates through both days and all of them were very tasty) and they don't take extra long time to bring the food. The prices are also pretty good, we spent about 10€ - 12€ per person having a main course + beer. The only complaint I have is that the staff is not really friendly, but it wasn't enough to bother my experience. Really recommend this place! (Dez/2021)

We visited this restaurant twice - it was our first stop in Prague after arrival, and we closed our journey in the same restaurant after 4 days. It’s the best choice if you want to drink the best beer (Pilsner Urquell) in Prague! There is also very tasty National food (especially svichkova). This restaurant has a nice history, which adds additional good vibes. Highly recommended!

An unfortunate experience of dining at this restaurant. The food was bland and kind of overpriced, and the service was incredibly rude. The elderly waiter should definitely retire, his attitude was totally out of line. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a satisfying dining experience.

Perhaps the good reviews on this place relate to the beer garden outside. The inside was nothing special and the food was just OK. While the goulash is pretty good, the other one wasn't our favorite since the sauce was a bit too sweet and repetitive.

Great spot in the center of Prague. It's my go-to place to eat or drink in the Mustek area. The terrace in the courtyard between the restaurant and the church is a very nice place to be, especially in the evening. The team here is great, always smiling and very friendly. There is a wide range of typical Czech meals at a great price. If you go there I'd recommend you try the sausages cooked in beer (it's a little spicy). I highly recommend you stop by in this bar/restaurant if you're in the area!

Typical Czech cuisine. Service is fast and nice, but the food is below average. Can't recommend this place if you're looking for some delicious food. Beer is nice, as usual in Prague. Surprisingly wine is also okay. Location is great as well, center of the city, next to a lot of historical places.

Best restaurant in Prague 👏🏻 We visited in December and enjoyed a variety of food here. We sat upstairs, it was nice. The staff were friendly and helpful when we weren’t sure what to eat. The food was amazing! We particularly loved the beer cheese and goulash. Of course the beer too! 🍻 We will definitely come back when we are in Prague.

We came here from a web recommendation, and it makes me really happy to say people act the same way I do, when I love a place I have to share! This was one wonderful experience. Beer was excellent and the pork knee…WOW. Must visit!! Great atmosphere and very friendly service.

Excellent duck and goose, cabbage has just killed me 😂. Great wine and beer. Loved it. Staff ok , very busy but helpful, don't understand those bad reviews. You can smell history here by the way. Surely recommend without any doubt ♥️

Very good traditional Czech style restaurant. Good traditional food, great beer and excellent service. When for a business dinner and everyone was happy about the food and the service. Good vibrant environment, not very noisy if you take the top floor. Recommend.

Good location, GREAT food & beer, vast menu with English translations. Service is brash and very slow, but worth it. Just be wary if you have anything scheduled after. My dish could’ve used more sauce, but otherwise delicious and would absolutely recommend. Bring cash. There’s no indication that it’s cash only, no ATM. and they were not pleased to have to run a card.

Came here with the expectation of tasty Czech food based on all the reviews but was disappointed. Although the food is not as expensive as other restaurants, it was nothing special and wasn't as tasty as other Czech dishes we've tasted. When we entered , no one greeted us or looked at us until we called for them and even then the service wasn't nice towards us or other visitors who arrived. Only positive was that the beer was great and truly is a good place for beer-lovers. As for food, not so much, I would recommend going to another Czech restaurant nearby that also has high ratings.

Suuuuuuper tasty with a great back garden area. My boyfriend and I split the mixed platter and it was the perfect amount of food for our hungry selves. Still impressed with the levels of flavors and craving for more...

After seeing the reviews, we excitedly wanted to go here. but disappointment. I did not like both the tastelessness of the food and the irritable attitude of the employees. You ask questions, they don't care about you. Even though I don't know your language, your attitude can be understood from your gestures. 1 point out of 5! I don't recommend at all. Note: There are no vegetarian options. (Only cheese plate)

Good place to enjoy traditional Czech cuisine in the city center. Avoid dishes with knedliks aka dumplings if you are not a big fun of bread or potato. Some dishes may have less meat than expected. Beer choice is between Kozel (dark) and Pilsner Urquell (light).

This is the place I liked the most while visiting Prague! The staff was really friendly and nice. The food was AMAZING - especially beer cheese 😋 They even had some few really good vegetarian options. Would come back to Prague just for this place!

One of the oldest and most famous Pilsner Urquell pub in Prague. Right in the city center you can refresh yourself at affordable prices. The stuff is polite and food + beer great. I most like the room with a tap in the right ;)

We visited U Pinkasu and tried the Pinkas beef goulash with bread dumplings and the fried chicken breast with potatoes – both hit the spot. The flavors were on point, and the staff's friendliness added to the warmth. Traditional decor made it a cozy Czech dining experience!

food was great, a lot of traditional options. not quite sure about the service though. a man who i assume the owner of the place was nice he even helped with a selection but the other waitresses have a not very nice attitude which i presume from their overworked & tiredness. overall pretty good experience.

Just a little of the beaten path and the stream of tourists. Mostly Czech people eating here and a curt to-the-point waiter gives it a traditional Czech experience.

A real czech experience ! Must try when you are in prague , authentic czech food service was good it was tasteful. And so affordable, 10-15 euros per person . I went for dinner I had quarter duck it was good but make sure to ask for the leg because the upper part doesn’t have much meat . It came with potato , czech bread , two colors cabbage . Also ordered pork ribs marinated in honey it was delicious and juicy . I recommend it for every first time visitor . Accessibility: 5/10 ( restaurant is accessible but toilets are not ) Service : 8/10 Value for price :9/10 Ambience : 7.5/10 Location :9/10

Nice restaurant, located in The Old Town, which serves traditional czech food. I liked the inner courtyard. It had a very vibrant atmosphere. As I'm a vegetarian, I ordered grilled camembert with cranberries, which I enjoyed. My boyfriend had baked duck, and he found it juicy and tasty. Good service and beer on tap. The downside is the lack of dishes for vegetarians, healthier options in particular.

Food was great. Atmosphere was really cool except for the bird whistle thing... The constant high pitch sound was pretty annoying and hard to ignore. No one else seemed to mind though as the restaurant's beer garden was super super busy. Staff seemed overwhelmed and it was hard to get beers but otherwise recommend for the food...but maybe not if you hate high pitch electric sounds. We got the potato salad which was great and also a side of warm cabbage.

Good place to take beers in a special environment. We also ate there and the quality was correct. Price aligned with rest of breweries in Praha. The two cottage side dishes really tasteful.

This place was looking so good with its garden etc, we went there for dinner. All the tables were four people and there were two people on every table, however, they threw us to the back of the place with small tables. There were flies all over us, they were so rude to us and I am sure it’s because we were speaking in English. They didn’t want foreigners.

I like the service here and the staff is friendly and serve our food fast. We ordered tartar and svickova, both were tasty. We will definitely come back when visiting Prague in future.

I ate lunch here and the service was quiet good. I can’t say exactly what I had. A spicy meat in a puffy roll. Although it was delicious it was a little overcooked making the outer roll a bit too hard. Prices were reasonable. Would definitely go back.
