Really good place. On a Free tour I was recommended to try this Place. Often I'm sceptical of recommendations given by tourguides but this one was really good. We arrived there on new years eve it was full, but we decided to wait and after some minutes we got a place. We ordered some drinks pork knuckle, a gulasch soup in Bread and Apfelstrudel for dessert. All the dishes were great. The gulasch soup was tasty and the bread fantastic. Also the pork was really good. The service was great. They were fast and some were even up to some jokes. The price was totally fine, especially for this location. So all in all we had a good evening there. I really recommend to try it if you are around and want to eat some good food for a reasonable price.

WORST DINNER SINCE AGES. Arrived and sat, the menu were old and dirt. No tablecloths (even the paper ones) We ordered the roast beef and it was missing, so i asked the chicken, after 30' they said was finished. I changed and everything arrived after another. Waitress were unfriendly and they didn't apologize. We got the SMALLEST and cheapest sausages ever, i guess DISCOUNT MADE AND FINGER SIZE. No bread, horseradish was OLD ans tasteless. 30 minutes for sausages and fries arrived after 45' without sauces and salt. The guy literally dropped our fries to spend some time (10') flirting. Our experience was AWFUL.

The food came 5 mins after I ordered it. It’s not a good thing. The meat was stone cold, I pointed it to the waiter, that asked me it I was sure, because the plate was warm. The dumpling was hard (difficult to cut with a knife…) in general the food tasted of nothing. 2 stars only because I got a lot of cabbage that was the only tasty part of this meal. Good that I like cabbage. I assure you - for 15€ you can eat better elsewhere.

It is a friendly place in prague where you find all the traditional meals and common for bohemia. I had the fried duck wir red cabbage. A very well cooked granny style red cabbage I have to say. In addition with the bright lager that I choosed it was a tasty dinner for a decent price. The duck was crispy an delicious but a little to cold for my taste. All in all I like to say I didn’t missed anything. I would recommend this place but improvements can be made in terms of temperature of the duck.

Had the pork skewer, grillem cheese and fries. If you like beer the one called Gambrinus Plzen very good. It’s a pity they didn’t have a cider😀 for the dessert apple strudel which is served with whipped cream and ice cream. It was also very good. Really worth to come, guys try avoid tourists trap just checking the reviews 🤪

A nice restaurant close to Old Town Square and other touristic locations. Went just for a beer and cappuccino. Tank Gambrinus was way good. Cappuccino was poor but didn't expect much so it's ok. Interior really cool and stylish. The staff was friendly.

To be in a touristic area the price/quality ratio is super. It looks like a place for local people. You can perceive a long-standing tradition. Pork knee recommended but also other dishes appear good. Beers are the ones you find in Prague. Overall, I highly recommend to have dinner here

Clean place with lots of choices of local food on the menu. Service, although unfriendly, is fast and efficient. The downside was the low quality of ingredients used, but other than that, everything else was ok.

Lovely typical place with typical food and beer. The waiter was very polite, the service is fast, the atmosphere is super. Moreover its not expensive at all and it's very near to the city centre and easy to find. I would totally recommend it if you like or want to try typical czech food in the capital city :)

Visited once in the afternoon. Had a few drinks and a snack. I enjoyed and left a tip. Came back next day to find it full and being denied service when I said I wanted to start with a drink...

A lovely local restaurant with a beautiful art nouveau style interior in the style of Alphonse Muncha. The service is quick and attentive and the food is plenty and rich. It will keep you full all day. We had pickled cheese on rye bread and a lovely goulash with cranberry jam and white bread to soak up the sauce. Highly recommended!

Really great local Bar/Restaurant. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere, decor is charming with some ornate design 😎 Beer is good, food is very nice and tastes as good as it looks. Staff are friendly, price is very reasonable. Well worth a visit if you want to try something more 'local' and less 'franchised' 👍

I love trying different kinds of food, especially the traditional ones, and on this day, I really enjoyed the traditional Czech dish. Also, the attention of the staff was amazing! Thank you. I would like to go there again.

Perfect place, we were 20 students and they were so much patient with us. The place was like a pub, very simple in the style. The menu was varied and very typical with options for everyone. Personally I ordered the gulasch in the bread crust. It made me so full and it was cheap. He let us pay separately with kindness and that was very important for us. Highly recommend it!

Stopped in for our last dinner in Prague, so glad we did. The appetizer of fried cheese with cranberry jam was great. We also ordered chicken wings that were perfectly cooked as was the Pork Knuckle. The pork fell off the bone and was moist and delicious. Served with just a light coleslaw. Great traditional atmosphere with an attentive staff. I highly recommend for a traditional Czech meal in Prague.

A lovely goulash soup in a cute looking bread. Tasted great! Staff was nice, too. Prices totally fair. Wouldn’t have expected that so near the old town square.

Watch out, the food comes out fast and delicious. Pork knuckle was so tender, goulash was rich and famous.

BEST gulash in Prague. Amazingly folkloristic venue. If you want a true Prague experience for the right price this is the place. You'll have to wait, because it's always packed, but the service is fast and the turnaround is fast ad well. Totally worth it.

The missus and I stumbled upon Pivnice Štupartská, following a later than anticipated visit to Karlův Most (Charles Bridge). Hungry, we ordered the creamy pearl barley risotto with goat cheese, and the potato dumplings stuffed with smoked meat, white cabbage, fried onion and wholegrain mustard. Accompanied by 2.5 liters of GAMBRINUS NEPASTERIZOVANÁ 12° (between us), the missus and I agreed that this was the best meal we'd had during our three day (so far) stay in Prague. Packed almost to capacity, at around 20:30, the pub's atmosphere was great, and the staff fantastic! In Prague for just one more day, we may well return 🙂. 245

Nice place to have food from Prague when you are walking around the centre of the city. Good quantity and quality ! Not pricey taking into account the location :) Good experience !

Really good welcoming. Delicious pomelo beer and many veer choices. Starters and meal delicious, homemade (potato chips, onion rings, sides (sauces). Ribs melting in the mouth for my husband, greek veggie salad for me (one other option as well). Also a really super nice decor ! Just a little long on the service at the begining but it was a match night. Thank you for this really nice moment in your beautiful city !

We came here because our tour guide and a friend recommended it to us. We had the goulash in bread and the sausages. Both things were really good. Prices are also very reasonable. Tha apple strudle was also pretty good. The only reason I removed a star is because the service was not very nice. Maybe because it was sunday late at night but waiters seemed a bit rude. Still, I recommend this place.

I did the fried cheese because it is one of the few typical Czech vegetarian dish. Amazing! The service was also very good and the beer needs no comments hahah. A great place!

Food options on the menu are decent, with more central/eastern European options than just burgers and hotdogs like in many tourist traps. Food was delicious but service was ok, not great (typical European service where it isn't that friendly but I'm used to it by now).

The food is amazing with extraordinarily cheap prices. I would recommend the gulasch and pork ribs here. Other than that the schnitzel is okay-ish. One star less for the attitude of the waiters. There are plain rude if you ask them questions about the menu. Other than that it is a pretty nice place!

Good Restaurant with nice interior. Food was classic food from the country. It was for the price a lot of food and we couldn't even finish everything. The duck was crisp and the meet still juicy. The pork knuckle was gigantic and tastet really good. They brewed there own beer which was very delicious and affordable. They even were able to answer requests for the toddlers. The service was sometimes a bit harsh and the light could have been a bit brighter. All together the food was good and the prices were affordable. Nice restaurant in the center of Prague.

Great place! Lively brewery resto with Art Deco interior. Fantastic value for money - shared a starter and each had main course with my mum, plus beer - all that for €40. Please mind - HUGE portions. Good service in all the languages too. Highly recommended!

We came by the restaurant and it had room to fit us in without a booking so we grabbed a table. We were seated around the back but that was probably because we had a toddler with us. The menu was both in Czech and English so we just picked a few things to share including the platter. We grabbed the Old Town platter since we wanted to try the pork hock. The food was quite nice and was very filling. The pork tenderloin was one of the more expensive and smaller dishes. It felt like a pub rather than a restaurant but the atmosphere was fairly casual.

Extremely friendly and quick service! The food was delicious and not a tourist in sight at this local hang out.
