We were waiting for 25-30 minutes to make an order and no one was coming to us. Menu looks nice but service is really terrible. Waitress was just ignoring us even though we came to her to take the menu, no one was taking the order. Do not recommend if you really want to eat.

The food is good as well as drinks but the interior smells like the old pub and pillows like they never wash them. And the toilet is really dirty, avoid to use it.

I had made a reservation for 4 people on 25th August at 18.30. When I made the reservation by phone on the 24th, I was not asked if we wanted to be seated outside or inside - due to this and based on the weather report, I assumed we had reserved a table inside. When I arrived, I was shown two tables outside which had been reserved for the same time. This was fine, however it started raining a few minutes later and everyone went inside. I had assumed having a reservation for 4 people for dinner time would mean to get a suitable table inside as well. We were seated at a very small table barely fitting 3 plates. It was in the middle of the restaurant which was not great because we had a small dog with us - one of the wait staff stepped on the dog because of people having to walk around the table we had been seated on. At 19.20, we noticed a larger table in the corner was empty. It showed reserved for 19.00 but since nobody was sitting there, we asked if we could move. The waiter informed us that it is at our own risk so if the people who had reserved it showed up but all other tables were taken, they would kick us out - this is not acceptable since we by this time had ordered drinks and food, nevermind that we also had a reservation for 4 people!!! We moved to the larger table but had to return to the small table in the center when the other group arrived belatedly. Eventually, we moved to a bigger table on the other side on the restaurant. Everytime we moved (from outside in the rain to indoors, from a tiny table that could not fit out food and drinks to a larger table), the wait staff seemed annoyed. There were other small things which made the experience bad, such as wait staff brining the food first, then the cutlery; and wait staff not noticing empty drinks. Over the course of the evening, people in our group suggested to leave because they were not enjoying the experience. When I paid, I asked wait staff if I could provide feedback because I had not been satisfied with the evening. I got the very bored reply that I can do so via Google or Facebook - which I am hereby doing. I have experience working in customer service and this is not how paying customers should be treated. When a reservation has been made for 4 people, I expect to have a comfortable space which fits everyone`s food and drink, and does not pose a danger to dogs (since Cafe Frida is proclaiming to be pet friendly - the dog was not provided with water, btw). The wait staff seemed disinterested in creating a good experience. I am aware that Cafe Frida is very popular (hence making a reservation for a Thursday evening) and that the staff/management will not care about one bad review. I hope this gets published so other guests are made aware that rain will make a reservation redundant.

Awesome café. Have been there multiple times and it has always been a great experience. Great hot and cold drinks (home made lemonades, teas, cakes), friendly staff. Great atmosphere, not too noisy even if packed with people.

They should have a big sign where it said "ONLY CASH". The service was great, but the food was not that good and was a little expensive. We ordered nachos and they barely had anything on top, just. Little bit of cheese and a few pieces of carne mechada. We also had cocktails, the margarita was good but the special was not as good as you'd expect considering its price.

Cozy place with an amazing location. This is one of my favourite spots in Karlin for brunch and coffee, the indoor is lovely and staff is friendly, quesadillas are my favourite dish here. I recommend to take cash since the place doesn’t accept card payments.

Cash only and Scam non Czech speakers. They will charge you double for every drinks ! And tell you it's because they put double alcohol in your glass without you asking or knowing.

Great atmosphere! Good vibes of young drinking beer, hanging out.. place was full. Hamburger was good. On the vegi side the tortilla was nice but not exciting.. Service was friendly and good. Note the place takes cash only.

This space could have such a great potential to be a hipster house to all remote workers/artists, however when I visited it lacked some good spirit or perhaps attention from the staff. I had only mint tea, which was fresh and good, can’t say anything about the coffee. Only two tables were taken and the place looked dead in the early afternoon weekday. Amazing location and view to the nearby church is the only good thing about this place so far.

Tourist scam! Stay away if you don’t speak czech. They may claim they misunderstood your order and charge you extra food. There were 3 different waiters who took care of us and they made a mistake in our ordering. One of us didn’t order a dish but they just doubled it with one of my friend. We simply refused the plate and they took it away. Then one waiter came and he said he misunderstood our order- that was all. No surprise, it was added into the bill.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Burgers and quesadillas are pretty good but the nachos are a bit of a disappointment. The raspberry lemonade was also very good.

Just an ordinary pub in Hypster Karlin.. a place to go to if you are fed up with the hype around other places. Serving texmex kitchen, Únětice on draft and special menu for GTs... Plus a great service. Have cash, or be ready to pay by a QR code payment from your bank account:)

Great place with typical Karlin atmosphere 😜. We only came for coffee and wine but I have noticed they are cooking some nice texmex cuisine. Great service overall and perfect opening hours (we came on Sunday late evening and place was still open).

The overall impression of the place would be for three stars, but just for the gorgeous tasty burgers, I have to give five - they are really amazing and if you're there, don't miss it. Otherwise it was really an average establishment, with unique vibe, not much comfortable seats, probably tired service (not blaming them though) and a bit higher prices. Nothing too special, but definitely nothing bad either.

Not a Mexican food , food was like you came just to Ordinary dining room. Overprice, tacos were really dry and almost without nothing inside. Just a spoon of meat and guacamole. Quesadilla was plain and not very crispy. I don’t recommend this place.

I like this place. Small but somehow I always fit in. Food is a bit boring here (burgers, nachos, etc) but beer (unetice!!) & harder stuff are superb

Dinner at Frida's - oh yesss 😍 Absolutely lovely atmosphere, great food, good wines and super nice staff - all you need for a perfect evening in the city center! Also for little money, and with the view over Karlin square! Just awesome! Highly recommend!

Fantastic atmosphere, great food, reasonable price. The daily menu items include a vegan and a non-vegan option, as well as a homemade soup. Delicious and pretty food, I recommend visiting this place for lunch during the working days.

It is a laid-back place, I really like the atmosphere. We go here for a beer after work and they also have good lunch menus with Mexican cuisine. The interior is very creative with original art on the walls.

Pretty nice place to either spend time with your friends or make some new ones, or just to enjoy yourself.. Long opening hours, great food prepared with love, bartenders are decent yet friendly and fun, what else could you possibly need? It can get a bit noisy quite easily though, as it is rather a small room

Edit 2022 Still great food and service, still can't pay by card 😁 Great atmosphere and good food. Soup plus other 2 main dishes for the daily lunch menu. They also do a very good raspberry lemonade, my favorite in town. The only downside, you cannot pay by card, but only cash or paper meal vouchers. But would definitely recommend visiting :)

Great food and pretty good coffee. Kind staff who made us feel welcome. Amazing breakfast. We had the granola bowl with mango puree (it was huge and tasty) and breakfast burrito. The burrito had poached or fried eggs in it instead of the usual scrambled which made it a very welcomed unique experience! Highly recommend these dishes and this Cafe.
