I had the absolute worst experience I've ever had at Johnnys Tavern. Our waitress/bartender repeatedly forget to put in our drinks and food orders that left us waiting for over an hour for each item. We waited so long for the food that we decided to cancel it. I went up to the bar to get my check, and our waitress incorrectly charged me for my items. Because of this, as we were leaving she came running out of the bar yelling at us for not paying for all of our items. To which I told her I did and she was the one who incorrectly charged us. She said she didn't care and that I had to pay for my items, when I looked at the receipt she charged me for two beers that we didn't order. I don't think I'll be coming back here.

Dodge City Tavern Burger: thick burger with fried onion rings, cheddar cheese, strips of mouth watering bacon, and their special BBQ sauce. My friends had ordered the French Dip sandwich. You can't go wrong with either one! I almost bought a bottle of BBQ sauce to bring with me because of how delicious it was.

When our waitress wasn't behind the bar taking at least 5 shots during our visit, she was yelling at other bar patrons and forgetting our orders. Short-staffed or not, the service at this location was the worst I have ever experienced in my 15+ years of being a customer. Food and drinks took 30+ minutes to get to the table, and even then it was usually the wrong drink. Edit: The owner is commenting under each negative complaint, asking for people to reach out. I’ve reached out to them twice over email and have not received a response in the now-over 2 months that have passed. Avoid this restaurant at all costs!

More of an FYI then a review. Awesome place though. Fantastic burgers! This location will be temporarily closing on Sunday, May 7th, 2023 for approximately 3 months for a complete remodel. I learned of this after visiting a couple of days ago from this posting from two of the waitresses there. They hope to be back up and running by August 1, 2023. I'm looking for to the reopening!!

We went to this location on Friday evening. When we walked in no one was at the hostess stand. We stood there for about 5 minutes and then seated ourselves. I know when we go to Johnnies the service is going to be extremely slow. I didn’t expect my husband to be insulted TWICE! He ordered coke when the server replied she said Diet Pepsi ? His response was Dr Pepper, again she said diet Dr Pepper. At no time did he mention the word diet. It’s appalling and very presumptuous for the server to continue saying diet when it was never mentioned by him. He said his chicken was quite good. My pizza was burnt and had very little sauce or cheese. It literally cracked when I tried to fold it to eat it. Again, the service is unbearably slow and as you can see from the pictures it was not busy. We’ve been to Johnnies in OP; again slow service but excellent food. This will be our first and last time at this location.

I'm sad to report the new remodeled Johnny's at Corinth Square albeit newer and bigger has taken a big step backwards in quality of food and service. Many of the same wait staff is still there but they are incredibly slow in taking your order ok getting your food to you. I like the single slice of pizza which used to be huge for 5.99. It now resembles a slice of Tombstone frozen pizza and my crust was doughy and undercooked. One slice used to be plenty... I had to order a second slice because I was still hungry and the second slice took forever to be served. The place wasn't that crowded. All and all although bigger and new looking doesn't equate to being better. I preferred the pre remodel version much better. Probably won't return.

Slow service, even though the place was not crowded. Drinks were not correct. Finally, just ate what we got and accepted that it is what it is. Will not go back to the Johnny's at 83rd & Mission. Service is much better at 119th St.

Great food and great service. Johnny’s is a good place to watch your favorite sports team play while enjoying a pint and some wings or other American dish. We’ll return!

Good classic bar food. Pizza, wings, tater tots, what more do you need? Giant TV's on every surface? Yep. They got that.

The place is your typical tavern/bar. The food is average and service is faster than usual. The only annoying thing is is that they share a parking lot with a strip mall so it will be jam packed

Friendly staff, burgers were fresh and delicious. On a Sunday night this place is loud with games on, so a lively atmosphere but may not be for everyone.

Had to check out the new remodel + get the unbeatable Taco Tuesday special. The beef tacos are delicious, the chicken was slightly dry but had great flavor! Shawna, our server, was very knowledgeable about the specials and so friendly! After the kitchen messed up our order she fixed it with ease and confidence. She had our best interest in mind! We are looking forward to the Thursday burger special (also unbeatable!)

Great place to watch the CHIEFS! A 12 inch personal screen TV at most booths with large screen TVs everywhere! Onion rings and personal pan pizza were spot on! Great selection of beer to wash it all down! WILL BE BACK.

We ordered online and carried out... everything was fantastic... pick up time was accurate with expected time... everything was packaged correctly so that everything was fresh and warm or cool if needed (ie: LTOP/fries/ sauce/everything)! And order was correct, even with the extras and such! I thank the staff for such an amazing experience!

I spent alot of money here during covid 19 for delivery and 20 yrs i lived in PV too. Last order I got was awful and I had rude customer service from the Assistant Mgr/hostess and her Manager backed her up by making excuses for her associate when I called about my concerns regarding the rudeness and unprofessionalism of her associate and the food quality delivered to me. In fact she was so adamant they did nothing wrong and made me feel awful for even complaining at the time I didn't leave the review I should have therefore I changed it. I haven't spent a dime since that happened to me months ago . There are plenty other places in KC to get a Burger. C'est la vie!

The bar service here is usually great, but the dining room service is typically mediocre at best.

Excellent service. Got the special of the day on Tuesday, a country fried steak and gravy. I wouldn't recommend it. The outside was hard fried, almost gritty, the meat was spongy. Overall poor quality meat. Everything else was good, and the service was excellent. I'll definitely give them another try, but I won't be getting the country fried steak. 🥴

Needs help. Staff was great the first 2 nights. The last night was a joke. Charged my Credit card for other people's bill. The bottom fell out ! My son lives across the street from this place. I live in St.Augustine. I will be back in 2 weeks. Let's see if they can bounced back! We hope so !

As an urban KCMO girl my opportunity to visit a JoCo bar is rare but a couple of Saturdays ago my friend was haaaangry for a bite and we were in the Corinth area -- wow Johnny's 🍕 was tasty! We sat at the bar with "regulars" who made us feel welcome and the bartender kept our ice cubes marinating in our beverages. On a lazy weekend afternoon this place hit the spot😉

I had the Wilson'sns wings...boneless...I wasn't a fan of the BBQ light sauce. My daughter got a hamburger which was fine. I was hoping for a different sauce taste. I'm just not a fan of the Wilson's. Friendly good service.

What a great place to eat! Good beer as As usual when I give a 5-star review it's all about the service, and with one guy there, it was amazing. There is something special about a burger that finally disintegrates before you can finish it because of all of the goodies The fries were great as well. Mustard on the table, just as it should be.

Service, food and liquor choices are really good. We have the feuded pickles and jalapeños, the portion was pretty decent sized. Would definitely come here again.

It is a nice and clean place, it is certain that employees pay attention on hygiene. However, waitresses are not that strict with the mask policy even though there is a mandate at the moment. Additionally, the bartender seemed to be little mad yesterday, gotta be little polite sometimes😏

Waitress dropped off menus and never came back to take our order. Waited 10 minutes and left. Not even busy. Worst service ever. Louie would be truly embarrassed.

Music was too low, at several points i could hear multiple employees complaining about being overworked and tired. Heater was blasting on the patio and it was 75⁰ outside. Lastly, I know its a business with overhead but with tax my 12oz. Bottle of IPA was ~$9. I'm ignorant but it seems a bit much for a locally made beer. Say we set that point aside, maybe I'm spoiled or have too high of standards but if you're going to serve someone a bottle of beer that costs them $10+ when gratuity is included, wouldn't you think it would be appropriate to offer a glass. I had to specifically ask for one in addition to the bottle, the glass was warm room temperature and then pour it myself. . .what did I even go in for? I could've gone to Quicktrip and payed $14 for a six pack. . .I suppose we can all just join the bandwagon and blame it on covid. What a shame.

Great wings. Decent pizza. Service was great to start but waitress could not be found for a bit when we wanted to tab out. Will go back.
