A & A Motel

I was so tired from travelling the last few days as I was wide awake at 3am on the Saturday 206/25, at the motel at Mackay, when I left there at about 7am I stopped off at a beautiful place called St Helen beach and was there for nearly 2 hours ,and then I drove on and I had to stop twice because I was so tired,by getting to early and 2 hours in the sun so by the time I got to Proserpine I saw the A & A Motel I just just into there driveway and I asked if there was any rooms because I'm so tired, the lovely lady said they just had a cancellation and I got the last room and once in the room I just layed down and I had a nap for 2 hours and woke up fell a bit better after that. The bed are very comfortable in this room there are 3 beds, a bathroom of course, toaster and a microwave oven and a jug to make coffee with as well plates and knives and forks and spoons,Over all it a nice country town Motel to stay and I really did like the place to stay , when to bed early again,about 8pm woke up at 1.30am and went back to sleep around 4.30am and woke up at 8am as it was so quiet here . I do recommend to book well in advance as they do get booked at as I've been told and after booking in yesterday I do believe it . I highly recommend this place, to stay in a small country town , Proserpine ,the lovely lady at the front office was very helpful and the staff keeps the rooms very clean at the A & A Motel, at Proserpine just of the Bruce Highway, what I said in my comments is why a gave them a 5 star ratings great place to stay at.

Great little option if you need to be close to the railway station for early departure. Less than a km walk down marathon st. Takes you to the station. Room was spotlessly clean, comfy bed and clean linen. Fridge, iron, kettle toaster etc little table too inside. Nice welcome, even from the owners dogs 😁

I booked a room with them online and money was deducted and when I called that I am coming to the hotel they said we dont have room look for something else or we can provide you a room for three people though we booked a room for 5 and paid for 5. I was forced to cancel the booking and they dint return my money and kept on making excuses for a month. In the end when I called multiple times and asked for my money back they made a reason ohh we would have given money back but when you called to ask for a room you were rude to our manager ( the person who said he cant give room even though we paid online) . This was such a lame excuse and I was not even rude with him at all. Basically they dint want to pay me back my money. Also what kind of hotel is this that you book something and on the day of arrival hotel mention that we dont have any room. We had to look for a hotel on the same day because this hotel. Such unprofessional way of dealing with customers. Wouldn't recommend this motel to anyone.

Nice place, no problems with an after hours checkin. Room was clean and free of dog hair.

We have stayed in this hotel on three separate occasions. Every time the staff have been friendly, they have a cute fish tank in the lobby that my toddler loves looking at and they are so welcoming of us popping in just to have a look. The beds are probably one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in with amazing pillows as well. A lovely pool, clean rooms. Zero complaints.
