Locals and tourists come to this place. So good and affordable prices. The guac was unreal and so fresh, and I would def recommend the al pastor. All the food was great. Had a couple beers to wash it all down. Def a place to hit up if you want some authentic local food. Cash only.

There are so many places in PV to get a good $1 taco but this place is GREAT! My wife had one of their sandwiches and about left me for the sandwich. It tried it and it was pretty darn good. If you are in that part of town swing by for a cold one and some food, you won't be disappointed.

Pepe's Tacos left me truly impressed with their delectable offerings. The Al Pastor tacos were a revelation, boasting succulent meat with a delightful char that added an extra layer of flavor. The incorporation of pineapple provided an exquisite balance between sweet and savory, making each bite a burst of delight. The lack of AC might make it feel a bit hot inside, but the fans offer some respite. Remember to bring cash, as it's a cash-only establishment. For around $20 USD (350 MXN), we enjoyed a Coca-Cola, a beer, and 6 tacos. While we didn't try their margaritas, the cold Pacifico beer paired wonderfully with the tacos. The sauces were a highlight, offering a quartet of flavors ranging from mild to spicy that added a tantalizing kick; 2 mild red and green sauces, and 2 spicy red and green sauces. The service was commendable, with a friendly staff ensuring prompt service. I ventured beyond the Al Pastor to sample their carne asada tacos, which though enjoyable, paled in comparison to the culinary masterpiece that is the Al Pastor. The generous portions ensured satisfaction, even though I couldn't resist indulging in four tacos. Arriving at 1 pm, I waited about 10 minutes for their food prep to conclude, and the wait was more than worth it. I found myself fervently recommending Pepe's Tacos to fellow guests staying at our resort. With operating hours spanning from 1 pm to 6 am daily, this restaurant offers unparalleled convenience. The cleanliness of the establishment, along with its proximity to Malecon and the shoreline, further enhances the dining experience. Restrooms were also well-maintained, adding to the overall positive impression of the place.

Yum. Delicious. The onions and cheese were so good. Their flour tortillas were perfect. We all ordered different items and 100% satisfied. We had a group of 7. They split our bill with no problem of extra charges. This is a cash only establishment.

The pastor at this cash-only place was divine. But the Hawaiiana crispy taco was even better - a mountain of juicy BBQ pork and sweet pineapple chunks on a comparatively tiny crisp tortilla. I'm drooling thinking about it now 🤤

Really good Pastor. Love the crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. Meat tasted flavorful. Prices were reasonable. Service was excellent. Located in the heart of the Center of Puerto Vallarta. Cheers!

I know this place may not look like the cleanest, but I give them the benefit of the doubt! Their tacos are just ridiculously so delicious. This is where the locals go and everyone is welcome! The price is really cheap too and you can get really full for not paying too much. My group and I would love to come back! The food here does not disappoint!

Okay guys!! This taco place is the best place so far in Puerto Vallarta! They are so good. I’ve already gone twice and I will probably go again before I leave! They have really good margaritas too! Honestly, check this place out! You won’t be disappointed!

Great tacos.. definitely a hot spot for the tourists coming to visit but the food does not disappoint!! They do a great job accommodating English speakers, and the menu reflects that as well. Definitely worth a visit. Bring CASH, no ATM machines inside!

Years ago, a well-known chef in PV recommended Pepe’s to me. It has been my go to since then. They say they have the best tacos in PV, and they do. But not just the tacos; their tortas, guacamole, queso fundido con chorizo and micheladas are all superb. Don’t let this unassuming bricks and mortar establishment fool you. If you want the best taco in PV, get to Pepe’s. It’s all good but try the puerco allambre and the al pastor.

One of our tour guides recommended my mom, brother, and I come here for tacos. THEY WERE AMAZING. We enjoyed them so much the first time that we had to come back the next day for lunch. The prices were great, and the employees were patient with our limited Spanish-speaking skills, answering us in English if we seemed confused. Cash only - make sure you have pesos!

Pepes Taco was recommended to us by our taxi driver and, truely, is phenomenal. I don't use those terms lightly, it was complete satisfaction. We were a party of 5 (ages 16-50++) in our group 4 individuals ordered 3 pastor B.B.Q tacos each. My taste buds exploded. We all unanimously agreed it was indeed the best suggestion ever!! Listen to local people they know what is going on. My niece had 2 beef tacos they were good as well. It doesn't sound like much food, but it was very filling, and we all left full. The waiters were great. I confess there was a little bit of a language barrier between my broken Spanish and their broken English. However, bottled waters were ordered, and we pointed to the pictures on the menu. Everyone was very nice and the orders were quickly accepted and served. We actually visited twice in the week of our visit. There were 2 men that were in charge of the Pastor. They were complete professionals. I was mesmerized by their swift wrist movements and knife skills that shaved the meat off and into the fresh tortillas. They were even able to flick a pineapple 🍍 piece off the top and catch it in the same taco.... I literally stood and watched them 5 minutes before I realized my group was walking off. Just saying if you are already going to be in the Puerto Vallarta area definitely stop by Pepes Taco place... ( not pronounced like peepee either).

We had a short wait to get seated. Ordered El Pastor tacos and they were delivered to the table in a few minutes. The tacos were delicious! The El Pastor was juicy and had a nice char. The salsas combined nicely. Overall the food and atmosphere was great!

If you're in Puerto Vallarta and craving an authentic taco experience, look no further than Pepe's Taco! I recently had the pleasure of having a quick bite at this hidden gem, and it exceeded all my expectations. To start, I ordered the 'Jamaica Juice, (literally, juice made out of Hibiscus petals) a refreshing and vibrant beverage that perfectly complemented the forthcoming taco feast. The menu showcased a variety of options, but my choice was the 'El Pastor Tacos,' and oh boy, they were a flavor explosion! Each taco was a delicious combination of well-seasoned meat, fresh toppings, and a hint of zest that left my taste buds dancing, topped with a slice of roasted pineapple. What truly stood out, aside from the mouthwatering food, was the quick and friendly service. Despite the restaurant being fairly full, the staff at Pepe's Taco worked seamlessly to ensure everyone had a satisfying dining experience. The atmosphere was lively yet not noisy, creating a perfect backdrop for enjoying good food and company. One of the most pleasant surprises was the affordability of the meal. Pepe's Taco offers fantastic value for money without compromising on taste or quality. The wallet-friendly prices make it an ideal spot for both locals and tourists alike. In conclusion, Pepe's Taco is a must-visit for taco enthusiasts looking for an authentic and wallet-friendly dining experience in Puerto Vallarta. The 'Jamaica Juice' and 'El Pastor Tacos' were nothing short of delicious, and the quick, friendly service added to the overall charm of the place. If you're in the mood for affordable, mouthwatering tacos in a welcoming atmosphere, make your way to Pepe's Taco—you won't be disappointed!

I am convinced that Pepes Taco's own Al Pastor tacos may very well be the best tacos in the world. There's a simplicity here that is deceiving. Every individual ingredient is stellar. I may be a gringo but I've had enough tacos in Mexico and the States to know that this is the contender. If you are visiting PV it's a must-stop.

I was dubious but thier claim to fame for best tacos 🌮 is totally worth for the pork n pineapple taco cooked on the rotisserie!! Definitely one of the best ive had! Huge margaritas 🍹 mixed with fresh fruit! Could be a long line so come at off hours or not when your starving!!

Best El Pastor tacos because loving cooked with wood. Usually the first stop after checking in at hotel. And again before we leave.

The key that separates good food from amazing food, is if it’s unforgettable. And these tacos are unforgettable. Would travel back here just to get a bite of these again. Best of the best

Omg 😱 they have really generous drinks 🍹. The tacos 🌮 are full of flavour. The service was good and we were provided with an English menu. We got a seat pretty quickly but if you have to wait, it’s worth the wait.

The food was pretty good! The beef in the tacos was delicious. The lemonade was pretty watery though. The atmosphere was nice, open to the street. Service was good.

I was told that this place is comparable or even better than Panchos Tacos in Zona Romantica. I unfortunately did not enjoy the food here. There was nothing special about the al pastor taco and it did not stand out to me. I actually found the meat a bit dry. No crazy flavors. We also ordered the crispy cheese chorizo taco. Tasty but super oily and again, nothing special! The only good thing about this place is that they are open late.

Nice sit down 🌮 taco spot. Food is decent and the service took good care of us. I was hoping for more of a street taco feel, but screw it.. We were hungry and it definitely did the job.

This is the best thing that happened to me in Puerto Vallarta. This is not a fancy place at all but the food is absolutely authentic and delicious. And the price is so reasonable that it’s shocking!! This is a MUST if you visit Puerto Vallarta!

I took my son there and we had the best tacos! They put alot of stuff on it and it tastes great! My son had one and i had two, but one would of been enough as the portions are amazing! The staff are friendly and the service is quick! Definetly will be back when i go back to mexico!

Very good tacos, I really liked the al pastor! Cash only, has English menus, very good and welcoming.

Al pastor was phenomenal, chorizo best I’ve had. The quesadillas are such high value, tons of meat for $70. Also super quick, no wait to get seated and tacos came out in <5 mins

This place was recommended from an Uber driver... Staff could have been more inviting and friendly. Coming from a first gen Hispanic/American, Tacos are pretty good they actually have some Salsas that are more spicy than other places (unfortunately a lot of places in PV are catered to tourists so the spicyness and flavors are different (milder) than the homemade rancho non touristy places like grandmas house, which is what I look for when traveling to Mexico a true Mexican flare). Arrachera meat is very tender, juicy and flavorfull i love it! adobada is well seasoned and tender as well. Will come again

The tacos are very good, the price is reasonable, the building seats quite a few. They are open from afternoon til early morning. Convenient and delicious taco drop for those of us that live nearby.

The best restaurant to eat tacos in Puerto vallarta, I highly recommend it. I am Mexican and I can recognize this place as one of the best tacos, the al pastor meat is delicious, I recommend you to bake the pastor's cake with cheese, the gringa, the pastor's volcano or simply the pastor's tacos. The service is fast and the price is quite affordable.

My understanding is that this place is a Puerto Vallarta institution. And it is that for a reason. Its a taco stand but one that has indoor seating and where you can get a margarita or a beer. Its not the kind of sit down restaurant where you're insulated from the street, from the smoke coming off the grill or from the taquero, all those are present. Its a little gritty and super tasty and definitely feels Mexican. Al pastor is great, maybe not the best I've ever had but it is very good, and the grilled onions they have are a tasty little treat. Open all night and gets more popular the later it gets. Everyone who works there is friendly but extra respect goes to the taquero who operates two al pastor spits and works tirelessly to fill hungry bellies all night.
