Not very friendly waiter and disappointing foods. I ordered deviled shrimp but it just tasted like shrimp cooked in ketchup and hot sauce. When I asked the waiter, he acknowledged that the "secret recipe" has ketchup in it. Ketchup is something I don't expect as a secret ingredient at a traditional Mexican restaurant.

Service was great and they had live music. The decor is as cute as you get. It’s right next to the famous Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe. They were kind enough to allow me to sit at the reserved area which is very cute and you can see the ocean from The balcony. The food was ok and not the very best but it makes up for it for the cuteness and the Mexican experience.

Food is delicious, atmosphere geared towards tourists. The only I really didn't like was the sala. Very flavorful but not enough heat from the peppers. Just a wonderful evening.

We live in California, now celebrating our 18 years of marriage in Mexico. Everything is so colorful, the streets, its people, the drinks, the restaurants. First week we were in Puerto Vallarta. Walking through the center we found this colorful place. You enter by going up a staircase that is at street level and is on the first floor. We liked it immediately and sat at a table on the terrace, there are also tables inside and on a very spacious patio. The staff is very helpful and friendly, since I know what they offer as a Mexican in California and this menu has dishes that I don't know, they helped me choose what to eat, it helps a lot that I speak Spanish. We ordered the classic guacamole and it arrived quickly. Then fajitas of three meats: beef chicken and shrimp to share. A huge plate arrived and Sergio - the waiter - put it on a tray table, added tequila and set it on fire. Quite a show. Also yummy. We spoke with another of the waiters: Muriel, a very nice Indian who gave us a lot of information since it was our first day in the city. I highly recommend it.

O ordered the comida Mexicana which is pretty much a sampler plate. My wife ordered chile relleno. The delicious tamale, chicken enchilada, and chile relleno made the meal. The mole was subpar in my opinion. I’m spoiled rotten when it comes to mole though as my mother in-law has ruined all moles for me haha. . We also ordered mango margaritas (they are made with the pulp not fresh ground fruit unfortunately). The patio was nice to sit at. The drinks were good and not weak. It’s a little pricey but we enjoyed our meal.

This is a gem of a restaurant just a few blocks east of the malecon. Traditional Mexican food. Reasonable prices and nice rooftop ambiance. Service is also very good. Too bad we found it on our second last night in PV. We tried coming back the following day (Sunday) but unfortunately it was closed. I would highly recommend.

The cooking class at Gaby's with Chef Julio Cesar is one of the best experiences we've had in Puerto Vallarta. You start the day with a walk to a local market to shop for the freshest ingredients and you end the day at a family style table eating a lunch/dinner worthy of a king. Everything in between is pure fun and education mixed with a margarita ot two. My husband and I took the class together and we learned so many great cooking tips and tricks. It was amazing how Chef Cesar was able to turn 10-20 simple ingredients into a wide variety of unique dishes. We will carry his pearls of cooking wisdom with us. Thank you for a great experience!

Wow. My chili relleno meal had tremendous flavor and the view was lovely. Live music enhanced the beautiful ambience even more. One of my top 3 meals so far in PV!

We went to the Malecon for Halloween and found this hidden gem. I've seen it on Facebook and remembered it so we stopped. It was great. They made my girlfriends mom fresh strawberry water. I had Maracuya agua and my girlfriend had fresh lemonade which here in Mexico is limeade. The food was really good the waiters and staff were very accommodating. We had the chimichanga; enchiladas and tequila shrimp which we all finished and didn't want to share with each other. They have an upstairs patio to eat on or if it's hot they have a section with AC. We will definitely be back. Thank you all for a wonderful night.

Awesome food, service, atmosphere, and view. We settled on this place after walking the malecon and reading all the restaurants menus. I'm so glad we did. My husband had the lobster enchiladas, and I had the beef fajitas. Both were excellent. We will definitely add this to our roster. Highly recommend!

Best dining experience have had in PVR so far! Everything was delicious and so fresh, loved the beautiful view of the ocean as well. We had both fish and shrimp tacos, shrimp fajitas, margaritas and Cornitas, guacamole, salsa and chips. Everything we had was great, highly recommend!

June 2023. Strolling through the streets of Puerto V we came across this gem. Without hesitation we signed up for the cooking class, how lucky were we. Our only regret was , not having found it at the beginning of our trip. For anyone wanting to enjoy the “real Puerto V take this class on your first full day in PV, it will open up a whole new world for you…

The atmosphere is so authentic and welcoming. Go for the tableside Cesar Salad and you'll find yourself a Gaby's regular. The food is delicious and the staff top notch! #Gabys #cookingclasses #authenticmexican

Nice and cosy place with live music next to the Church in PV. Service is good and food is good too. Large portions. We liked several interesting variations of Margaritas. 2 options for sparkling water 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Minus one ⭐️ for chicken soup with raw veggies. If that is the recipe, we could be warned when ordering. Otherwise our mains were good 😊 Anbefalet.

Beautiful location with great food. We enjoyed our dinner there very much. Nice place to watch the sunset as well. Service was warm and attentive. Live music was a really nice touch. We thoroughly loved the dining experience.

Quick and polite service, my strawberry daiquiri and green chicken enchiladas were amazing. The open air patio was quite lovely. Decently priced as well. Glad I stopped in. I’ll be back!

We wanted guacamole and since it is pre made, they could not make guacamole without onion. I don't think this is good for a Mexican Chef restaurant not being able to make a fresh batch without onions! When the food was brought out, it was a cool warm temperature, I think food should be served hot! If they can improve their attention to detail and cater more to their clients, this restaurant would be great!

This restaurant is on the food tour so I thought it would be worth a try. We got the last view table. Such a pleasant ambiance with live violin music. We tried the chicken mole and chilli rellenó. Both were well prepared and nicely presented though on the bland side. Service was professional. The highlight was the flan. A serving enough to share. Bonus points for a spotless bathroom.

We had coconut shrimp, fish tacos and fajitas. They were all very delicious. The meat was so tender in fajitas. We ordered too much for three people. The fajitas (600g) is good for three but we wanted to try other dishes as well. I would recommend this place. They add 20% tip automatically! If you don't order too much like we did, then price is good.

Food was okay but even if it was good, I’d stay away if you’re a tourist. We ordered sone food and margaritas. After taking our orders the waiter came back and asked me if I wanted my drink spicy and I said sure. However, when we got our bill it had 1 margarita for $140 and 1 premium margarita for $250. When I pointed it out, he said he asked me if I want spicy and for some reason that means they use different tequila. Not a huge amount of money but as a tourist I feel taken advantage of.

The Caesar salad is worth the experience and it tasted amazing. I wish I had gotten our waiters name, but he make racilla and let us sample to flavors. We shared the Tequila Shrimp. Would highly recommend trying this place out. Excuse the up close Tequila Shrimp picture. Fat kids at heart didn’t take a before picture.

Beautiful setting on the outside terrace. The owner family visited with us. The server prepared the Caesar salad tableside from scratch (it was delicious). And the Camarones al Tequila was one of the best seafood dishes I've had in quite some time. Live music was a plus and added to the atmosphere rather than took it over. Highly recommended!

Delicious food and very fresh and well crafted margaritas. Lovely vistas of the ocean from this open air dining spot. So good.

We did the cooking class with Chef Julio. If I could give this 10 stars I WOULD. It was the coolest experience ever. He took us to a market got us samples of stuff. We got a really nice walk with a local. The food was incredible, and so cool to learn how to make it. It was such a great experience and it was worth ever penny. If you are visiting Puerto Vallarta you have to do this!! Totally amazing!!

Muriel was a true professional! We enjoyed our conversation and I enjoyed the best Chicken Mole Enchiladas that I have EVER HAD!

Wonderful ambiance and really tasty food. The dishes I got are vegetarian (Guacamole and burrito). Paid a very nominal price for then. In the evening hours, there’s a loud screeching noise that comes from the braking of busses (maybe ) on the road. It can be annoying to hear that while eating.

The food was good. I came here with my group and I ordered their fish fillet. The sauce was very creamy. View upstairs was nice to see especially during a sunset. We weren’t really fond of their drinks though, it was kind of watered down, which deducted a star rating — it is a “restaurant bar”. For drinks, it was a glass of wine with pieces of cork in it and a bland mojito. The passion fruit margarita and their micro beer was good though.
