A nice quaint hotel close to the beach and walking distance to everything you need. I stayed here on a recommendation from a friend. Glad I listened. We were warmly welcomed by the front desk and the entire staff. Everyone is so friendly and very attentive to the guests. The rooms are clean and the hotel itself is very tidy. The on-site restaurant serves very, very good food. Choose from a full breakfast included free with your stay. Did I say the food was good? The drinks from the bar are strong and with the long happy hour, you'll leave there happy. I have nothing but great things to say about the hotel especially the Sunday party. They have great rates and I'll be back because of the outstanding customer service.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel that caters to LGBTQ clientele, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The hotel is a charming hidden gem, and the friendly front desk staff, especially Nicole, made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Nicole was friendly, easy to talk to, and went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel's location is fantastic and convenient, and the price is quite decent considering the quality of the accommodations and service. Overall, I had a great experience at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming and inclusive place to stay.

I really like the staff and location. The rooms are nice and clean. If you're looking for more than basic accommodations - this isn't it, Food is well priced and tastes good. I would not have any hesitation recommending this place for either a quick bite, accommodations, or just some good old fashioned fun!

This is an old school hotel. Lovely. Like home. The staff is amazing. I can't stress that enough. And what a wonderful location. A block from the beach. The food is very good. And such a bargain. Happy hour is the best. The rooms are old. But this is gay history, folks. A lovely gay institution which should be treasured and is by those who come back year after year. Kisses to all. The best staff.

Stayed at this hotel for one week. Excellent staff! Shout out out to Joselo, Rafael, David, Jorge, Carmen and most of all Paul the owner of the hotel. Food is excellent and great price. Excellent pool area to relax and have a drink. Clean hotel and great location to the beach and nightclubs, walking distance to many restaurants. Will defiantly going back and would not second guess where to stay. Thank you to all for the amazing vacation.

Went here for burgers boys and beer, and we were very impressed how it was. The show was good and the boys they brought in were good for sure. I love that the owner came over and introduced himself to us and made sure we were enjoying our time there. The owner was also amazing at making sure the pool was clean and the pool deck was clean and maintained too. Just seeing that level of service impressed me very much.

Absolutely the best service staff. We met Paul, the owner who was very gracious. I am in the hotel business. This was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have ever had. The included breakfast is super deluxe and has a full menu. You dine around the pool. The housekeeping staff will do your laundry, free of charge daily. Anyone staying at this boutique style hotel will have a great experience.

This place is pretty much great. Even if you don't get a chance to stay there you can still use the pool and bar and other public areas. For most hotels the food and beverages are an after-thought. Not here. It's excellent food, fresh ingredients, inventive menu items. Very reasonable prices (I hate it when hotels view the food as a huge mark-up because they figure they've got a captive audience) The drinks are also great, and the bar staff is very friendly. The pool is wonderful. It's a great way to spend some time mid-afternoon and early evening especially. Not overwhelming, but busy and fun.

The rooms are Old Mexico, small bathrooms, dated tile floors and stucco walls but well maintained. If you're not demanding in this area, the friendly staff, atmosphere, great price, and proximity to the heart of the Romantic Zone and beach more than make-up for it. Also, the courtyard Bar and in-house kitchen serve great food and drinks. Breakfast is free (outside guests are welcomed for 200 pesos each) and there's a nice menu for lunch and dinners. The courtyard is always occupied with friendly guest like the hotel lobbies of old. If you're too warm, a dip in the pool provides much needed relief, beach towels available at the front desk. I've stayed here annually for the last 10 years and will continue to do so. Hope you decide this is the place for you.

Owner Paul Crist makes you feel at home. The Bistro at the center of the hotel is lots of fun with fantastic entertainmet, delicious fresh food, and a wide selection of alcoholic beverages. If you want the perfect gay hotel where you'll feel most safe and accepted by a wonderful staff, owner, and atmosphere, be sure you book your Puerto Vallarta stay here. You'll love it!

No running water! It is beyond belief, we could use the bathrooms, no shower! Staff is acting like they don't know what's going on, they don't inform about it. Room is dirty, everything broken so outdated, smells. This place is complete disaster. the sad part is, they don't apologias and say here a bottle of water. they could care less.

Okay - I can't even begin to explain the magic of the Hotel Mercurio - you have to visit PV to really get a sense of it. It EASILY gets 5 stars, even though their rooms are just simple. They aren't dirty! That place is cleaned daily and you can smell them mopping the floors, cleaning the pool, etc. But the service is OUTSTANDING! They are such a friendly place, and in the absolutely most convenient of places in PV. You're right where all the action takes place. HIGHLY recommended for the gay traveler.

Amazing little hotel near everything you could want in the gayborhood. The free breakfast is actually off a menu and absolutely delicious! Pancakes, french toast, chilaquiles you name it. Staff is like family I adored everyone there. Exceptional people. Cute little pool. Sundays Beers Boys and Burgers was fabulous. The air conditioning was better than any all inclusive I have stayed at where the rooms felt humid. Big shower and plenty of closet space. Dresser with drawers. Cannot wait to return to this little gem!!!

I stayed at this Hotel recently and based on the reviews here I booked it. However I am giving it a 3 because both days I stayed here the pool was being worked on and could not be used. It would have been nice to know that so I could have made other arrangements. Especially since it was very hot in PV.

Would definitely stay here again. The service is outstanding. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Special kudos to the front desk staff and David at breakfast. The staff did their best to accommodate all of our requests. The included breakfast was excellent. The rooms are fine and we found them comfortable. Many of them seem to be recently updated or partially updated. The AC worked great and we were pleased with the cleanliness and great housekeeping. A room on the first floor that opens to the courtyard with the bar and restaurant can be noisy (music 8am-10:30pm). But we were fine on a higher floor.

I absolutely love this hotel. The term the biggest bang for your buck is 100% accurate when it comes to this hotel. The staff is absolutely amazing - they are responsive, provide exceptional customer service, and are always willing to help with anything within their purview. The food is another highlight of your stay. It is a block away from the Malecon, and within a safe walking radius to all of the bars. Highly recommend if you are looking for a budget friendly, safe, and clean hotel.

The Hotel Mercurio is a nice hotel to stay in the Zona Romantica area. The rooms are fairly basic but have all the necessities you need for your holiday. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The pool and bar are a great place to hang out and meet others. The bar staff are awesome. I had a great visit, again.

Older property but great location and friendly staff. Free breakfast included. Free bottled water every day. Fridge in room. Coupon for a free welcome cocktail. In the heart of Zona Romantica. Sunday Beer and Burger party is great

Haven’t stayed here or seen the rooms, but I had a nice time at the bar. It was 100% empty because it was right when the bar opened so I got some quiet time which was needed. The staff is friendly and drinks were great. I’ll definitely go back.

Love this place! The staff is basically family now. The food is amazing, drinks are generous, and the social scene and Sunday entertainment is memorable.

Location is awesome. Staff is super friendly. Food is very good. Rooms and crowd skew older. Did I mention the great location? This is a great place to launch a PV trip.

An extra welcoming and accommodating hotel that is very gay friendly and open. I was a big fan of the smooth booking process (online), the check-in experience (with Joselo), and bar + pool amenities (with George). The space is situated right by the beach and is within proximity of good eats and night life. I felt very safe here - and highly recommend this spot to both first timers and returners. They even share a WhatsApp phone number that can be reached for anything (e.g., room service and emergencies at any point throughout the stay). Will definitely be returning here next time!

We spent the Thanksgiving week at the hotel. It was our first stay there but certainly will not be our last. Check-in was fast and easy. One of the most important things we can say about the hotel is the service. Everything from the front desk, restaurant wait staff, bar tenders to housekeeping went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and happy. Our room was a "King Bed" room and faced the street. It was clean, the bed was very comfortable, the shower had plenty of pressure and hot water and the air conditioning would freeze you out if you turned it too low. The room was quiet and we could not hear much noise from other guests or outside the hotel. The room was cleaned, towels replaced and bed made each day. It was perfect. There is a nice small heated pool in the courtyard. There is also a full service restaurant and we found the food to be amazingly good. There is also a bar located in the courtyard and you can order any kind of drink you like. The drinks were very good and fairly priced. The bartenders were great and very friendly too. The hotel is located in the central romantic zone and is very walkable to everything. It's not the fanciest hotel but they are remodeling and updating all the time. I can't say enough good things about the staff, rooms, location and price of accommodations. We will certainly be back on our next trip. I would like to say thanks to some of the staff: Joselo, Israel, Jose at the front desk, David and Raul the breakfast servers, Jorge, Briham and David the bartenders and Luis for housekeeping. Many Thanks!
