I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! Our hotel was broken into. Our shoes, passports and few other belongings were stolen. Our drink was stolen by the pool as well. When we went to the front desk to fill out an incident report the manager was not helpful. There was nothing they would do to help us. They would not give us a copy of the incident report nor check the cameras, they kept making excuses which makes it very obvious that it was someone who worked there. This place is not very clean there are several kinds of bugs inside the hotel, loud noises all day and night, and is not a safe place to stay. Security they have is fake security just to make sure you done exit or enter through the beach if your not staying there. They let anyone in through the front gates without questions. This was our second time staying here and I will never be staying here again. If you want to keep your family safe I recommend staying elsewhere.

Stayed in a second floor studio. The room was clean and well maintained. Every member of the hotel staff was excellent. The room was just a few steps from the beach that was never very crowded. The hotel is in a good location. There is a Mall with a grocery store right across the street, several good places to eat within walking distance, and you can catch the bus to downtown right in front of the hotel. Not a fancy hotel but a very comfortable one.

We were very pleased with our stay at Los Tules. It was a last minute decision and we are really glad we picked this place. The resort grounds are one of the top highlights given how spacious and beautifully landscaped they are. It provides a very relaxing feeling being surrounded by beautiful green plants, flowers, and birds. The location of the resort is fantastic too with it being beach front, and in the generally quiet hotel zone, and with a shopping plaza, grocery store, movie theater, and lots of restaurants and services all within a 5 minute walk. And for those who love to walk, it is possible to walk to many points of interest along the main avenue, including La Isla Shopping Center, the big Galerias mall, the Marina, the 5 de Diciembre neighborhood, and all the way to downtown Puerto Vallarta and the Zona Romantica. What we figured out about this resort is that your experience will greatly depend on the room you get, as there are major variations. We saw a few of the rooms to assess. The building the room is in and its location, whether you prefer closer or further from the beach or a pool; the floor it is on, whether you prefer easy ground access or top floor for views and privacy; and the condition of the room all should be considered. Some rooms are updated and some are not, so the quality of the rooms varies greatly. We had a wonderful ocean-front room on a higher floor, which was perfect and exactly what we wanted. It had an updated bathroom, which made it very pleasant to use, but was in need of some updates to the kitchen and some furniture. Overall the room was very clean and the cleaning service did a fantastic job. The check in and check out were quick and efficient and the front desk staff was very nice.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!! I have been coming to Puerto Vallarta for years and I have never dealt with something like this before. My husband and I are staying at another hotel and we decided to come to Cafe Chapultepec for lunch. Let me be clear: I HAVE EATEN AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT BEFORE WITH NO PROBLEMS. Today however, was different. First, we find out that the restaurant is closed. Which is fine with me, we should have checked before we came. The security guard lady who informed us that the restaurant was closed said that we could not exit through the hotel. Excuse me? We start arguing with her. How is it that we entered the hotel, without anyone stopping us or asking us any questions, TO VISIT THEIR CAFE WHICH I HAVE BEEN TO, only for us to have to exit through the beach???!!! She did not give us a reason as to why we couldn’t leave through the hotel, just that we had to exit by walking all the way down the beach to the public walkway, which was very far. We obviously didn’t want the police or for us to get into any legal trouble so we complied. More security guards were being alerted of our presence and all came to stare at us while we walked through the beach like we were CRIMINALS. IT WAS HUMILIATING!!!! DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!

Pools. If you like pool time, especially nearly private pool time, this is the place. Seven pools around the large property means you have choices. Five of them have views out to the bay. Location across from a Super Grocery store means you don't need a car get supplies to stock your apartment, but going into town is a $4-7 USD cab ride and cabs were easy to get on the main road. Rooms were comfortable and our three bedroom suite had plenty of space but not a lot of power outlets as this was 1980s construction. Air conditioning did a great job of managing the heat, and controls in each room let you fix a temperature that suits you. There is a restaurant on site and the food there was quite nice, so you were not suffering if you stay on the property for lunch or dinner.

This place should be avoided if you want to sleep. There is a dance bar next door. The music is so loud, impossible to rest it sleep. Been coming here for years, but never again. Avoid it!

My wife and I have been here twice. We really like it. Each suit is privately owned and the first time we thought it was excellent but on the second trip, it was really not a great suit. Not clean, old fixtures, poor repair (AC didn't work in the bedroom). The complex is really nice. Not 4 star, more like a 3 but small buildings, very close to the ocean. Not too busy. Very close to a grocery store and the bus routes.

CheckIn was a nightmare. Didn't want to give us what we booked. Took 3 hours and manager finally put us in our room. We have been coming here 20 years. It's always a problem at check-in. But we love the location. This year we have humangas cockroaches. Never had before. This is probably our last time here. Service staff is great, housekeeping great. But I don't do cockroaches anyplace.

They cancelled our reservation 2 days before our arrival even though it was already paid, we contact them and they gave us no solution, we're going to lose plain tickets because there's no other hotel available in the city in the same dates. There's other comments with similar situations. I do not recommend you to plan your vacation in this place since they don't care.

We loved our stay at Los Tules! Beautiful views...clean pools...quiet spots to relax on the grounds...good food at the restaurant and friendly staff. Grocery store is across the street. $5/100 pesos to ride into downtown for shopping and more restaurants. Recommend a vacation here!

Grounds are beautiful! It's like a jungle in the middle of the city. Perfect location! Advice,,, don't go for the studio suite. Extremely tiny, even for 2

Pros: the location was fairly central to most shopping areas. Hotel staff was pretty nice, especially the security guards. Cons: 1. There was CONSTANT construction. Every morning, even on the weekends, and every night until about 6pm you hear them breaking concrete with chisels, pounding with hammers, and constant yelling from construction workers(not there fault they have to work). 2. The front office will charge you for towels if they are misplaced. (Not a huge deal, but not normal) Overall the stay was decent at best, however, relaxing is not a word I would use to describe our experience because of all of the constant construction noise.

Great place to relax, very quiet and pleasing. Only down side is the pool hours closing at 9pm. The excuse is to avoid noise, but I have to say if your room is near the Fiesta America Hotel you will have lots of music noise. In general it's a good place with good rooms.

This is a hidden jewel. Outstanding staff, wonderful grounds, 7 pools, beautiful view of the bay and tons of hot water in the kitchen and showers.

Los Tules is a hidden treasure. We were very fortunate to get a room. The rooms were clean, the main pool was right by the restaurant. Food and service was fantastic. Would definitely go there again.

Spacious apartment, nice pools. Bathrooms are new, beds comfy. There was a disco close by and we could hear the music until 3-4 am. We slept ok but if you are a light sleeper, you will need earplugs. Kitchen is minimally equipped. Grocery store across the street. They supply 5 gal jugs of water, which we appreciated.

Beautiful surroundings, conveniently located, step out of your room and you'll be at the beach. Friendly staff and very helpful.

In general, Los Tules was all we could have asked for. The location is great. The beach is clean. Almost no trash. The place was built in 1981 and has a bit of a dated feel, but almost makes it feel more authentic. Each of our rooms had working air conditioners, fresh water from a cooler. To be honest, we spent most of our time outdoors enjoying Vallarta and the natural beauty of the surrounding area. The service was good except for the housecleaning which only serviced us once during our four-night stay. Security was on top of keeping a good boundary between the beach and the property, and its gate felt safe at night.

We like this resort it's very nice the outdoor restaurant is a little hit and miss but plenty of food elsewhere overall Los tules is great little vacation spot we're going back next year 😉

Walking distance to markets and stores. Outdated rooms and temperature control complicated, AC units not able to overcome heat. Ants on kitchen counters and a roach on bathroom towel. Staff friendly. No shade or umbrellas at any of 7 pools, warm super warm and with heat not refreshing. Beach is where 2 rivers meet, so murky and after a few feet major dip.

Wouldn't come here if had small kids or with grandparents. Security wouldn't let people have a beach ball in the pool (kids) or sit in the shade on the grass (older lady). Cleaning person took off the come back later cleaning sign on door and came in anyway, threw away or stole my brothers cigarettes from our room, and put our stuff in a pile on the floor. The dinner staff was nice. The room was spacious and nice AC. Right next to the beach.

Do not stay here if you want an enjoyable experience. You are not allowed to have drinks or water by the pool, you are not allowed to play music in your room, and you are not allowed to hang towels on the back of chairs to dry. They watch you 24/7 and you are not allowed to go to the beach after 7pm. This place is a mix of hotel residential living and other time share living, and it’s run with strict HOA rules.

We had a great stay at Los Tules, our room overlooked a pool and the ocean which was so beautiful. The resort itself is very quiet, except there is a water fountain at the mall across the street that plays "all I want for Christmas is you" by Mariah Carey multiple times a day. It became a little annoying because we could hear it in our bedroom. But all we could do was laugh about it. There are 7 pools at the resort so we were able to find pools without kids at them everyday which was ideal. Lots of beach access as well. It's only a $7 Uber ride to downtown PV. Overall I would recommend staying here.

Staff on site not properly trained to receive locals, doors handles loose, shower soap dish accessories loose or broke, no radios in pool areas?? Really??, just read the rules in English and Spanish, in english very welcome to the customers but in Spanish cold and straight to what not to do, my feel is that employees aren’t well pay or just don’t like their jobs.

Very happy with our stay and experience here. Will return. Staff has excellent. Jesus is excellent and assisted with our excursions, can't say enough good things about him. The restaurant on property is good, great staff. They make a very good margarita. No hangover pains.

We stayed in one of the 3 bedroom condos. It was a 4*. A little outdated and a definite mildew scent but a great ocean view and location by water and pool. The restaurant Chapultepec had absolutely lousy 2x1 margaritas. Avoid the restaurant.

Very beautiful place to stay...peaceful and quiet. Had a really good time with the activities and the pool. Good for a family vacation and the kids loved it. Also is close to supermarkets and the pier. Overall a wonderful place to relax and spend time with the family

Been going here for 30 years. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. Large balconies. Regular kitchens. Very roomy. More like a villa than a condo room

Cleaning service was not good. There was toothpaste splattered on the mirror and you could see where someone had suction cupped a toothbrush to the mirror. The toilet had a dirty ring that signified it hadn't been cleaned very often. The light switches were incredibly dirty. I felt better cleaning myself than the cleaning staff. I always disinfected after they cleaned.

Very nice place. Highly recommend. We rented a private apartment in the resort but was very happy. Amazing location. Nice restaurant and 7 pools. Never crowded just very relaxing
