However even though it was not crowded they would not give me a tour of the place. Finally the would not take foreign credit cards. You need a credit card from a Mexican bank to enroll. Not interested. Went back to Vallarta Fitness in the Gallerias. Might even be less crowded now that the tatted fit-sters have another place to show off their chicken legs and big booties.

Smart fit has everything you need to get in a great workout. All of the equipment is brand new and the facility is super clean. They have it set up so that there is plenty of room. I highly recommend it.

I go to the gym daily and give reviews of them all as travel. On my second day i asked thw staff why the 1st floor cardio was 15 degrees hotter than the 2nd floor strength training area and i was ridiculed for sweating too much instead of being given a real answer. (Cardio rooms should be as cool or cooler than the rest of any gym.) Very disappointing. Worst customer service ive had in more than 15 different smartfit locations throughout Brazil and Mexico. Extremely disappointed with the staff here. An apology would be a good start.

I was not able to join this gym because you have to have a Mexican bank account and be a resident to join. You can only purchase a day pass as a non-resident which is not cost effective at all compared to a monthly or yearly pass.

While visiting PV, I wanted to get a good workout (the hotel's gym was good but not enough equipment for deadlifting). Smart Fit has day passes very affordable, and registration was made super easy by their very friendly front desk staff. The gym is clean, a little crowded, but if you focus, you get through efficiently.
