April 2023. We found this tour online. It was our last activity before flying out at night, trying to maximizing our day. We chose the snorkel tour with sea turtle at 1pm. Captain Benoit was funny, personable, helpful and incredibly knowledgeable about the ocean, snorkeling, boat and water safety. He was with us in the water and pointed out all the fish and the turtles. He took underwater pictures for us and uploaded them at night for us so that we can keep incredible memories of the tour, no added charges. Captain Benoit is generous with his time as we stayed longer than planned. We felt safe, and the underwater spectacle was out of this world. We absolutely recommend.

Captain Benoit provide the best private experience I've ever had snorkeling. His boat is the perfect size for 2-4 (we were 2). Comfortable, easy to get in & out, especially from the water. This time we did the Coral Garden Snorkel. It was my daughter's 1st time in French Polynesia and she loved every minute of it. Captain Benoit not only led us through the gardens, but also took excellent, beautiful pictures along the way, including so many of us - what great memories he provided. His pictures were 100 times better than what my little underwater camera took. Hats off to the Captain for providing this wonderful "extra" to our experience. This is the second time I have had Captain Benoit take us out. My husband and I went in early 2019 the first time. Again, so awesome, I wanted to only go with him this year. If you want a private excursion, I would only recommend you book with Captain Benoit-it will be amazing.

We wrote an email to Captain Benoit on August 15th to ask for a tour on the 17th. We were really not confident to receive an answer but we got it in a very short time and he was able to arrange the tour for us notwithstanding the short notice. He is welcoming, nice and professional. We had the turtles tour (n.5) and was wonderful. He is really helpful also with all information you may need to reach the Marina or the like. After the tour he sent us some nice pictures too. Absolutely worth the price. A great experience with a very nice person.

We had the best time with Benoît! Benoît is a very knowledgeable guy with good humour and a nice personality. AND you can be sure that he will spot every single movement made by an ocean inhabitant (LONG before yourself...):-) We were so lucky to swim with a humpback whale mum and her baby not once, but twice.. as well as with turtles. We also saw heaps of dolphin and tons of little fish. He took us to a wonderful coral place with magnificent colours and hundreds of curious fish. We also saw the 2 boat wrecks and the small airplane. We did the 4 hrs tour and it was worth every CPF. Would absolutely recommend to anyone to do this or any tour really with Benoît! It is def. Our Tahiti highlight and I will never forget the whales and how close we could be to them! Great plus to mention: he takes photos with his GoPro and sends them to you afterwards! Captain Benoit was an amazing guide! My husband and I went out on his private snorkeling/sunset cruise to celebrate our anniversary and it was fantastic! We started out the trip with a snorkeling session around the reef. He was very knowledgeable and showed us all kinds stuff. He also took photos with his Gopro while we swam and shared them with us after the trip! Then we watched the sunset from the boat, which was absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed our time with him and would absolutely take another trip with him the next time we visit the island!

This tour is simply TERRIFIC! Fully private and comfortable with amazing sites! SO many sea turtles, dolphins, and variety of marine life amongst beautiful coral. I read on Wikipedia that Tahiti gets the majority of it's electricity from hydroelectric stations on the island, but they are missing an untapped source of energy in the wonderful Captain Benoit! He is a kind, knowledgeable, funny guide (despite what the dolphins might tell you) with so much excitement for your excursion! He took us to two locations and, besides being our tour guide on and off the boat, took over 250 pictures of our trip for us! I cannot wait to return to Tahiti during whale season and snorkel with the good Captain Benoit once again.

Captain Benoit hosted me on the fully private Coral Valley/Turtle Tour #7. Could not be more pleased! The captain has a passion for the Lagoon Flora and Fauna, is very knowledgeable, and more importantly produces solid results. Furthermore, the Captain is all about guest safety and respecting the environment and its creatures. The coral valley (a secret location known only to the Captain) is teaming with a massive and plentiful variety of colorful tropical fish and we also had a very up-close-and-personal encounter with a leopard ray. The turtle portion of the tour was just as delightful, we had close encounters with many turtles and the captain provided detailed instructions on how to engage with them so as not to stress them, and have a truly interactive experience. There were more turtles than I could count. Finally, the captain has a very high quality underwater camera, and knows how to dive deep for close-ups and good colour fill. He provided me with almost 300 photos of the dives (all-inclusive in the base price), and got some great photos of me engaging with his co-workers Mr. Leopard and Mr. Turtle. For tropical snorkeling, it is positively essential to have a photographic record of the experience and once again, Captain Benoit over-delivered. If you are in Papeete for a day, and you need an immersive private guided snorkel experience at exotic locations for your small group, then you could not do better than to engage Captain Benoit. He loves what he does, he is properly equipped to deliver a complete professionally guided underwater tour service, and he will keep both you and the environment safe. Needless to say, Captain Benoit received a handsome tip at the end of the tour because I was extremely energized by the entire experience. What an amazing guy!

Went for a 3 hour cruise & snorkelling trip with Benoît, it was most incredible experience ever! No hassle with tour groups or big crowds, but a private stunning tour that was worth every penny and more!

My husband and I went on a snorkeling tour with Benoit a few days ago and had the BEST time! It was our very first snorkeling experience. Benoit took the time to teach us everything, demonstrate how to use the equipment, and helped us during the entire tour. We are not the strongest swimmers, so it helped that we were able to borrow all equipment (including snorkel vests and noodles). He was very patience and calm when we were very nervous. We loved that this was a PRIVATE experience - it helped us get more comfortable in the water and enjoy the tour to the fullest. We saw incredible coral reef and sealife. The highlight was that Benoit took so many beautiful photos of us and the many things we saw. They are the perfect souvenir for us to remember our first snorkeling experience. If we are ever back in Tahiti, we will book a longer tour with Benoit. The pricing for all tours is also very reasonable for the type of experience you get. Don't hesitate - book with Benoit now! You will not regret it!

Captain Benoit was charming and very helpful. He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable with snorkeling. We did the turtle tour and it did not disappoint. We saw some amazing turtles swimming and feeding in the corral reef. Captain Benoit was very knowledgeable about spotting the turtles and his English was very good. He offers drinks after snorkeling, which was a plus. At the end of our trip, he even dropped us back at our hotel, which wasn’t something we expected. Throughout our excursion, he took many pictures of us and emailed them the same day. I highly recommend using Captain Benoit. You won’t be disappointed!!

My wife and I went snorkelling with Benoit at the Turtle spot and at the Coral Valley. We saw a lot of turtles in a stunning environment, as well as some smaller sharks and also dolphins on the way. Also the corals in The Valley with the clam and the school of fish were impressive. Felt safe all the trip and had a perfect trip with our friendly guide. Thanks also for the pictures. Benoit is a 5-star operator! It's well worth a bit extra to get a personalized tour from a knowledgeable, considerate guide. Benoit was awesome and I'll be contacting him again when we return to Tahiti.

Great family fun! It was a real pleasure going on tour with Captain Benoit. He was very generous with his time as I am travelling with my two kids and as there are no kids' prices he made up for it in extra time. Very much appreciated. He was very pleasant to spend time with and made it a wonderful experience for me and the kids. Highly recommended! We did the sunset and wreck snorkeling tour. Great!

I'm not sure I can put into words the experience we had with Captain Benoit- his tour was the highlight of our trip! We had an incredible snorkeling adventure and saw so many different fish, coral, and swam with two species of turtles. He was very knowledgeable and respectful of the marine life, too.

Captain Benoit clearly loves his work, and his upbeat energy is infectious. We had a great time on the boat and in the water. An ideal family trip that's worth every franc!

I'll be fair. I rate my own overall experience here, not only focused on the business owner or the service. In short, don't pay a lot of money for an experience if you are not sure that the experience is for you. That simple. The business owner is enthusiastic, explains a lot of things, he is responsible for your safety. The location has the potential to see what you want to see. But as I said earlier, you need to be very familiar with what you do in the water, so that you can spend the entire time 100% focused on enjoying the experience and not anything else like technical aspects of the snorkeling. That way, you will get what you pay for. Side note, the owner took some underwater pictures, tricky busienss to make good photos all the time, do pay attention to the time of the day, the light conditions for your trip also. He got one shot out of all that I can keep as a nice memory for sure.

I could not imagine a better experience. Captain Benoît was friendly, passionate, and gave us the tour of a lifetime. Everything was in exactly the right order, incredibly well thought out. The turtles, the coral, the beautiful fish. We even saw an octopus and a blacktop shark. I cannot imagine a better day on the water in a more beautiful surround. He later sent us over 200 pictures of our day. I cannot recommend highly enough!

We, family of four with two young children, enjoyed a really fun afternoon with Benoit. We did the lagoon snorkel with a plane wreck and various other bits to see. Well worth it. Beniot sent through 90 pictures after our snorkel around the lagoon. Really lovely guy who could not have done more for us. Called a taxi on finish as well.

An Unforgettable Tahiti Snorkeling Adventure with Captain Benoit! My mom and I did a breathtaking snorkeling tour and cruise around the Tahiti Lagoon with Captain Benoit. As novice snorkelers and non-swimmers, we were apprehensive, but Captain Benoit's patience and expertise were remarkable. He immediately put us at ease with his patience and expertise. He provided invaluable tips, particularly helping my mom, who showed significant improvement in just a few hours under his guidance. The water world of Tahiti was beautiful- the lagoon's water is so gorgeous to stare at, I could be out there for hours. We were also fortunate to encounter a stingray! Under water was also great colorful fish, shipwrecks, plane wrecks, and intriguing underwater formations, including a heart and a submerged desk. Captain Benoit's infectious energy and passion enhanced the experience, and his local knowledge enriched our journey. He felt like a friend, making the trip even more special. We highly recommend Captain Benoit's for any snorkeling tour and cruise. It's an unforgettable adventure, and if we return to Tahiti, we'll definitely do it again.
