Bata Mangala Temple is a temple dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Mangala. The temple is located 7 km away from the Hindu Holy town of Puri in the state of Odisha, India. The temple is revered by devotees on the way to the nearby Jagannath Temple. It is customary that devotees pray in this temple before they proceed to the Jagannath Temple. It is said that when Brahma first came into existence it was confused on seeing a great void all around him.The goddess Bata Mangala appeared to it guiding it to Lord Jagannath . Thus did Brahma gain its focus and proceed with the task of cosmic creation.

It is situated in the way to puri jagannath tample. From here Puri Jagannath Temple will be around 4 5 km away.it is a small tample but very famous. People first stop here and take blessings of Maa Bata Mangala Before going to puri jagannath tample. The place is also not too much crowded. It will take only 15 minutes to visit the entire temple and take blessings from maa mangala. If you ever go to puri Jagannath Temple, then you should definitely stop here once and worship Maa Mangala. It is also considered as good luck.jay maa bata mangala 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

It is said that if you are coming for darshan of Jagannath ji, you must perform Puja of Ma Bata Mangla. The mandir is situated on the main Bhubaneswar Puri road, about 8 kms before entering Puri. It is a small, neat & clean mandir. Devotees throng the temple on Tuesday which is Ma's favourite day. Many people come to perform Puja for their new vehicle.

Famous temple on the way to puri. It's mandatory to stop there for blessings and then move to puri. Some people do visit while returning back if in a hurry. Always crowded with people.Ancient hindu temple dedicated to maa mangala, one of the famous shakti goddesses in Odisha. The temple was down from the road, one has to get down the stairs but now the goddess is up with the same level as the road so one can get darshan from the road. Lots of renovations done over the years. One can have darshan and have some snacks, sweet and tea next to the temple, without onions and garlic tiffin.

It doesn't need any introduction but you get yourself introduced to her Grace while entering Puri. If you are here for vahan Puja, then priest are friendly and dont harass at all. They accept any dakshina you give.

The holy town Puri in Odisha aka as Eastern Dham for Hindus pilgrimage also recognized as the root place of Shakti. There is a temple dedicated to Goddess Mangala on the gateway to Shri Jagannath temple, Puri, known as the Bata Mangala temple. A divine feeling place to Worship and feel overwhelmed with blessings of Maa Mangala. In Odia language ‘Bata’ means ‘Way’, since Goddess Mangala is enshrined on the way to Shreekhetra, she is known as Bata Mangala. It is customary that devotees pray in this temple before they enter to Puri, the holy place of Shri Jagannath Temple. As per mythological, Maa Mangala has been described as a Goddess symbolic of a proper pathfinder in life. Also famous among locals to perform Puja and blessings for their new purchased Vehicle from Maa Mangala.

This is a must stop for me while traveling to Puri and I am not alone. From my childhood days I have seen busses, cars, bikes and most of the people passing my stop here to pay their gratitude for a safe Journey. So the name is derived " Bata Mangala" . Bata literally means road and Mangala means the goddess of goodness. It's a belief rather a strong belief that offering prayers here will make your journey a happy and safe journey. This temple is inclusive in the culture of local people and travellers to Puri. DO STOP BY ON YOUR WAY TO AND FROM PURI. Jai Maa Mangala 🙏
