My wife had lobster which was well prepared. However my Rm100+ steak was HORRIBLE. I asked for medium rare and first I got a well done steak. I informed the staff and they promptly changed it. The second steak was even worse. Half well done and half raw. Even the raw part had no juice at all. It was dry and tasteless. Could overhear the next table also complaining about their steak. They tolerated by dousing chilli sauce on it. I only finished half.At least one of the staff inquired about my experience and offered a 10% credit for my next purchase, but I doubt I'll ever come back.

Honestly, the food is way better than I'm expected. I ordered one classic lobster roll and beef ribs, the taste is very nice. Let's talk about the lobster roll first, what it makes me so unforgettable is the bread, the bread is so great while matching with the lobster in it, it's really so nice if you only eat the bread itself, the lobster is taste so good too which you may expect what you get with the price. About the ribs, it's very nice to chew with the beef, it wouldn't stucked in my teeth when you're biting it, the beef quality is just awesome which you barely can find this kind of quality of beef ribs in KL.

This is not my first visit here and won’t be the last as my family love this place and everything on the menu. We’ve been coming here again and again especially to celebrate happy occasions. To dine at Kay’s is a wholesome experience from the moment you walked in; 5 stars service from their friendly and helpful staffs (one waiter is assigned to each table which makes everything delightful as your requests will be attend there and then) to the quality of their food. They only use the best and freshest ingredients which justify the price range. I’m not a fan of red meat but according to my family, they have the best steak in town! Over the years I don’t remember if we ever had a complaint about the taste of the food because everything genuinely is so sedap from the starter to desserts. Special shoutout to their soft shell crab pasta, cant wait for this MCO to be over. Until then ‘till we MEAT again’.

We went there for birthday celebration without making reservations. They were so kind enough to let us sit in provided we finished our meal 1 hour later. Glad they were so flexible and considerate. Ordered mussels, wagyu beef pasta and grilled salmon. All of them were a HIT! They also played a birthday song and sang along to make our celebration a better one. Highly recommended

We had a family dinner at Kay’s. First and foremost, make sure you make a reservation. They can get quite busy. Service was excellent. Steaks were cooked to order. Our kids preferred medium raw. Lobster was also cooked well. They could have gotten the 5 stars if the omotesando lobster roll that i had was cooked. As it tasted uncooked and I an not a sashimi type of person. Overall I would go again.

All the food here tastes amazing. Super satisfied with the taste and how it brings different triggers to my taste buds. What needs to be improved is the service provided. With the price that is on the high end, I believe we should get that fine dining experience. Cutleries and plates need to be asked, food comes quick and fast but perhaps more waiters are needed because they are all always busy and on the go.

Great food and the price was quite affordable for the food they served. The only dissatisfaction my family and i had is we were placed at table 10 with the view of the wash basin where we can clearly see people wash their hands and mouth and gargle and feel disgusted while eating. I really hope that they can knock table 10 off as it is very unfair for the customers to have that view while try to enjoy their meal. We did ask to change the table but the waitress refused as the table has been decided by their side. Maybe because we didn’t really dressed nicely (my brother wore flip flops) so they think we deserved to be placed at the very corner and the most secluded space in the restaurant but there is no dress code stated so we wouldn’t know if we need to be dressed up in certain ways. So all i can say is table 10 should not be existed at all.

Second time here. booked a day in advance to try out their beef wellington. First beef wellington for me - steak was juicy and the pastry was well done. Crispy on the outside. Portion of beef wellington i think can be shared with 2 person. Service was good and not too crowded here provided you use their online booking system. Overall pleasant experience.

For their steaks, Kay's use chilled, premium grain-fed beef imported all the way from Australia. As for the lobsters, they only use live Boston Lobsters that are air-flown and imported at least twice a week. No disruption even during current pandemic. If overwhelmed by the wide selection from their menu, here are some recommendations. Visiting the restaurant in groups, definitely must try their Tomahawk Steak which is best at medium rare or medium! Even dinner for two is advisable to try it. Despite a 45 minutes wait is required for this dish, it will definitely be worth it in the end as you get to savour in all that tenderness and juiciness of the steak. A steak is a meat generally sliced across the muscle fibers, potentially including a bone. It is normally grilled, though can also be pan-fried. It is often grilled in an attempt to replicate the flavor of steak cooked over the glowing coals of an open fire. For the lobster, you can opt for Lobster Thermidor which is fresh live Boston lobster served with Parmesan, Cheddar, Paprika with caramelized butter sauce and a side of fries and salad.

The items we ordered on the menu are worth the $$ spent. The beef ribs are tender and juicy, steak was flavorful and the best part is the sauce, ask for their signature sauce! The steak is really good on its own. But I'm shocked just with butter the taste is even more amazing. Lamb rib is tender enough, has minimal smell, still disappointed that beef rib already sold out by the time we came in. Carbonara tastes so so. But the chicken that came with it is nice. Need to book first before came in because the place is quite small and always full with people.

It was a 15-pax dinner party, and we spent more than RM3.4k that night, only to be asked to clear the tables within 2 hours. During the booking, we have informed the restaurant that we would have a birthday celebration and Christmas gift exchange. Even then, the expectation was for us to leave after 2 hours as they have reserved the same space for 'other customers'. Had this been told to us during the booking, we probably would have made a call whether to proceed. To make it even more an unpleasant experience, the wagyu tomahawk served to us, was overdone. We requested for medium, and yet it was definitely more 'done' than medium well, we could even hear the crackle when it was carved before us. The 2nd tomahawk was better in that regard. Baked mussels were good but we were quite unimpressed with the tomahawk that I felt food here is generally overrated. Lobsters were so-so, that I feel at the prices charged, diners can have better steak-and-lobster experiences elsewhere. It was also unfortunate that the space was not big enough, that our group was told to 'quiet down' twice, although I believe our bustle was that expected from a 15-pax party. Suffice to say, I don't foresee a second visit, especially with many other F&B establishments around where one can get better value both for food and customer experience.

Came here for Valentine's Day so reservations were packed. We managed to dinner slot at 5pm but were starving anyways so it worked out. The restaurant is tucked away in a quiet street but easily navigatable. Starting off with the appetizers, the truffle fries were good were slightly soggy. It could use a heavier dash of truffle oil for extra flavour. Then, there was the garlic bread which was amazingggg coupled with the onion soup. The onion soup had a gravy like consistency and was rather thick yet savoury. Coming to the main courses, the lobster mac & cheese was - heavenly although very heavy. The fish & chips was good too, although the fish's proportion to the fries was skewed. I'd definitely prefer more fish than potato Overall, the dining experience was great & highly recommended

The foods are unique in its own way and are towards the premium side. Coffee portion is really small, food ample, dessert and appetizers ok. I did my opportunity of ordering the australian wagyu beef. My first wagyu, so i wouldn't know if it's the best or so. But it isn't my first ribeye. If you prefer a stiffer ribeye then go for the standard one. The wagyu, although really soft and not chewy, feels like meat that has gone through pressure cooker. I order medium ribeyes mind you. Those who wants to relive the mango cheesecak from Kula cakes in Pahang can have their go here. It's the exact cake imported from there. All in all, it was a treat with great ambience for a dinner date with your significant other.

Basically I feel cheated on the portion of the lobster roll. It is very different from what I had previously where every bite had mouthful of lobster meat in it, but this time I only saw a lot of lobster's small walking leg in it. The lobster truffle Mac & Cheese also have the same issue and the macaroni was not fully cooked. I personally wouldn't order again from Kay's Steak and Lobster through take away because I really feel disappointed with the food I just had. Totally not worth the price I paid for.

Ordered medium rare ribeye steak for myself but I think the steak was slightly overcooked. However, their signature sauce and mashed potato managed to compensate the overdone steak! Unfortunately, my first (and probably last) experience dining here did not meet my expectations. A lot of the meat best sellers were unavailable when we came at 6pm. So I opted with the lamb ribs. It took quite a while despite the restaurant not even half filled, my dish came last. As beautiful as the plating was, the meat was NOT tender nor juicy at all. Very much edible, but a little tough. It was very disappointing. Even my friend that had eaten there a few times said that her husband would always orders a meat dish and this was not usually the case. But the marinade on the meat was good and side dishes were nice. I just wished the meat (which is the main star) would've been cooked better. Another thing that was such a major turn off was the waiter (which had a trainee badge on), came to inform us at 7.30pm that the next party that had a reservation at our booth for 8pm had arrived earlier. We were still eating and were puzzled, so asked her what she expects us to do about it. She said that we should be leaving soon to make way for that party?? The terms at their site says that our reservation is for 2 hours. And we were clearly not done. I can understand that she's still in training, but maybe train her better?? Apart from my terrible experience with the lamb ribs, my friend had the burger which was 8/10. Another friend of mine had the chicken parmigiana which was a 6/10. We also ordered the mussels 7/10.

May not be suitable for family dining experience as beef steaks and lobsters are usually not the preferred choices for the elderly folks and young kids. Ambience and seatings very simple. Located at a row of double storey shops, the place is quite quiet, especially at night. Food tastes good and commendable. But the prices are above average. Good food, great service! The place was pretty full but the lady was very kind to squeeze us in, with a condition we must leave within 90min due to prior reservations. The waiter gave very good explanation and advice on the food selection, and accommodate some of the switches like from fries to sweet potato fries. Also gave us spread of different sauces to go with the tenderloin & ribeye. The lobster is fresh, though not meaty enough, must be one that go on diet & exercise a lot before being caught 😬 All in all, a place worth going back to!

We booked the Kays Steak here to celebrate MIL’s 76th birthday. You just have to book before you come otherwise you may be disappointed for not getting a seat. The place is arty decorated like hipster cafe with cool modern style and most importantly very clean. The atmosphere was serene with nice music background and not too crowded. The staff are attentive and helpful with food recommendations. And the food was magnificent. We ordered from fresh oyster to lamb rib, and all those are perfectly cooked. Keep up the good work and lets make Putra Heights “the address” for good restaurants and cafe.

Nice ambiance but the food was not to my liking. Staff needs to be trained more on the menu to ensure correct information being conveyed to the customer. I asked if the pasta was spaghetti, the staff who took my order said yes and when the food came, I got linguine instead. Asked the senior staff, she mentioned that they only have two types of pasta and they don't do the spaghetti anymore. Disappointed and the pasta was way too spicy.

We arrived around 5 pm and were warmly greeted by a friendly waitress who showed us to our table. After placing our order, we enjoyed the incredibly delicious ribs. Parking was ample as it was a Sunday. Came here for wife's b/day lunch n i requested a simple table deco n i can say they covered this request admiredly. Ordered a few dishes n were delivered quite fast even though this place were 3/4 filled. Food presentations were appealing. Taste wise were nicely balanced as too were the portions. We too requested assistance to remove the lobster meat from the huge claw n the server put up quite a show doing it. Kudos on this thus making the whole experience very upmarket. Whole heartedly recommend this place for a pleasantly wonderful dining atmosphere in an unexpected locale.

We've been here to celebrate Valentine Day and it's been a fantastic experience. The service is silent but great- meaning they are always around to get you what you need but they don't bother you. Great selection and simple menu and the Chipotle BBQ Beef Ribs are to die for. Better than Tony Roma's. We also order Grilled NZ Mussels for our appetizer and its so good. My other half ordered Australian Grain Feb Ribeye and it was so tasty. The price was affordable with this kind of experience. Got 11% rebate to use for next visit. Definitely come again to try their famous Lobster and Tomahawk.

Nice wagyuuuu!

A good place for steak lovers. Tried their famous steak, loved it. Also tried their appetizer (bone marrow with garlic bread). Loved it too. The service was great, the deco and surrounding are nice. Suitable place to bring your family to dine. Make sure you make your reservation before coming here to avoid disappointment as they are always packed with customers. In terms of price, this place is a little on the expensive side. But each cent spent here is totally worth it! Must definitely try!

The wagyu striploin was cooked to perfection! However, the lobster roll wasn't fully filled with lobster and the mayonnaise flavour outweighed the lobster flavour. Overall, the food was decent. The place provides a fine dining experience as it has a nice ambience and eye catching interior design. The service is very good as well.

Luckily they accept walk-in as we came early in evening. Love the ambience. Five star service. Five star food. Very delicious. The only drawback is limited parking. Btw, I'll definitely recommend this place to others.

One of the best western cuisines in the Putra Height neighborhood. Price is on the slightly higher end, but the quality definitely makes up for it, been here twice and the food is consistently good. The steak is impeccably grilled and the compound butter is just wholesome. Only complaint is the mussels, it's very heavy and overwhelming, a mouthful of aioli and I can merely finish 2 pieces, also sparkling water which served at room temperature, the ice just watered it down.

The mussels I had were incredibly delicious! From the first bite, the flavors exploded, leaving me craving for more. Sea Salt Caramel Latte was delicious. The service was impeccable, and the ambience added to the overall dining pleasure. If you’re looking for a memorable culinary adventure, this restaurant is a definite winner! Highly recommended.

TL; DR: Great place for a great steak. Definitely not a mistake. Haven't try the lobster, this round. FOOD: We had the Tenderloin Steak and Soft Shell Crab Paste and the food is cooked to perfection with attention to detail like no other. Medium doneness on the steak, beefiness is fair. Love the steak butter. The steam is good to go even without the sauce. SERVICE: Staff were quick to attend to our requests as it is not a very big joint. Do make reservations prior to coming to prevent last minute disappointments. ENVIRONMENT: The ambience of the restaurant is just nice. Comfy and not too big. Come back here for a few times after had a very great experience with this restaurant. All the food is delicious, tender n juicy beef ribs,the best wagyu a5 in town, great pasta. And the best that they had is all the great staffs are very welcoming, polite with the best service ever. Thank you very much for the great experience.

I just love the customer service here. PS: I made reservation, not walk-in. I recommend future customers to do so as well. The staffs are quick to make sure we are seated at our table. Even when we have to wait for them to verify our seats (which took less than a minute), they made sure we sit at the lobby bench first. Our table had a small decor (for my anniversary) which I think is just sweet of them. We had a fabric box to put our handbag so we won't have to put it on the floor. The ambience feels a little like cool Japan; with the chairs, tables, and decors up till the wash area (sink). Music just nice for a background touch to enjoy food and have conversation. Staff made sure to repeat our orders to confirm them before sending to kitchen. Which is good so there are no mistakes. Food didn't took long to arrive. I would say they taste just lovely. Blend of flavors are nice. For me, staffs did a great job at attending to us from the start up till we left the premise. Kudos to the team for a great customer service! Pssst. I just can't help but notice one of your staff wearing black (I think manager la kot) looks just like Zach King. Almost want to take a selfie together. 🙈

Went to fulfil a long time promise to my youngest daughter for a whole lobster for her after she completed school ! Last time we were here was abt 4 years ago - its now renovated and has a more updated and stylish upmarket feel to the dining experience ! Delicious food was served beautifully...a feast for the eyes, and later for our stomachs. Price was according to what we ordered, if you come make sure your wallets are quite thick !

This place is nicely renovated compare last time only 1 shop lot now they have private room for booking. You can book the slot online. The food is still good but the wagyu seems like a downgrade from the last time i eat here. Price can be expensive for casual dinner but worth it. I always come here for special celebrations with family and friends. The service also upgrade. They will change you a new plate if your meat is not cook from what you ask.

The atmosphere is cozy and clean. The staff full of smiling face and good service. The food are not bad except the salted egg soft shell crab, not crispy enough. The wagyu beef patty and chunk lobters burger is good.

One of the best steak houses in Selangor. The food is great, with good service. The ambience is really nice as you can see from the photos. With all this, you have to pay for the price but it's worth it. We spent RM1300+ for 5 main courses of Wagyu striploin, lobster thermidore, NZ lamb rack, barbeque beef rib, and Flinders rib eye steak.

Came here for birthday celebration of my family. I am not new to Kay's, the one I always dine is in Ampang Arc. But today, we go a bit further to Putra Heights, as Ampang branch is fully booked! So it was 9 of us, and when we arrived, we are hungry as we are really reserving our tummy to eat tonight 🍽️ We got the special section which is a table for 10 in a cozy private space. Really nice space to eat. We are entertained by staffs with good PR skills! The tone of talking, the way they took order, the way they suggest and upsell, is a good management of people I can say. Well trained staff 🫰🏼 Let's start with the appetiser, Grilled Mussel was love on the first bite. Then, our main entree came, dayum every bite is worth every penny you paid. Portion is big, taste was exquisite, cook to perfection! Lobster just melt in our mouth, Potterhouse steak was cook medium well just as what we asked! Kudos to the chef! The staffs also come to check on us to ask if all is okay, if food is okay. I remember the face, I forgot the name of staff, a guy starting with A and came from Kedah. Even took his time to take us our family photo while busy doing his own closing task. Thank you for your hospitality 🌻 Love the food. Love the ambience. Love the service. I am in F&B line for years, and I am also a food hunter & explorer. I can say one of the best place to dine in Malaysia. This branch would be easily in my top 5, from in and out of the country!
