Great spot hidden in the forest.

Beautiful forest. The legend of the Solse Gat is that there used to be a monestary there that sank away into the swamp which is now the hole. Some say you can still hear the monestary church bells at night. None of that is true of course but it makes for a nice story and tries to offer some sort of explanation to this admittedly strange hole in the middle of the woods.

I strongly recommend this hike. It is a wonderful forest and easy going. Calm and nice!

Legend has it that in The Middle Ages there was a monastery in this place and because of the monks ‘irregular’ behaviour it was punished with a very heavy thunder storm which made it disappear completely in a sink hole, which is todays Solse Gat. After midnight and at full moon you are supposed to be able the screams of the perishing monks!

Pretty much a hole in the woods... but the woods are beautiful in this area. 3 thumbs up! 👍👍👍

This is not a grand spectacle. This place will not provide a jaw-dropping moment of awe. But it is a quiet beautiful spot hidden in the middle of a forest. Whenever I’ve been here, there has been no one else around, it is very peaceful.
