Nice People. Best Icecream, Chocolate Cake, Cheesecake, Baguette and more

Came back to desirata after some months and my daughter ordered a piece of cake. Unfortunately the cake was at least two days old and cream was bad. At the high price paid, they can't afford to diminish quality.. My advice, do less varieties and keep the quality. Ill be back for another try. Ps: they did offer an alternate cake to compensate.

It's really a good place to seat and enjoy your lunch IF you are not in a hurry. We unfortunately have to wait sometimes up to 30 minutes before getting served. However the food is quite good. They have nice burgers à la carte and generally nice menu of the day. Desserts are tasteful.

Good icecream /pastries/croissants and other items —they have a small restaurant too in the first floor —need to try that

Best "patisserie" in Mauritius. The names given to each pastry evokes something you want to discover. Alongside their pastries are their savoury items: like baguette sandwiches is a good example of making good food as affordable as in Europe. My personal best: flan parisien

Cakes and gelato are really good but the lady at the counter is horrible. She doesn’t not smile and was rude. Definitely lacks customer service training. Such a shame.

Very nice place and cosy for friends and lovers my wife and I really appreciated this time well spent over there the gelato was nice as well nice flavor and varieties. Highly recommended for professional and private meeting

This modern ice cream shop is a bit on the expensive side, but the flavors are incredibly tasty. Worth the occasional treat!

Excellent quality but price may be an accessibility issue. The cakes and desserts are certainly of excellent quality and the production costs higher than a high street bakery but the prices are still expensive for the low to middle class clientèle.

I recently had the unfortunate experience at Desirata, and I must say it was one of the worst restaurant visits I've ever had. The host's rude behavior completely soured our day, and it was all because of a minor parking mishap. We understand the importance of maintaining order and ensuring that all guests adhere to parking regulations. However, it is absolutely unacceptable for a host to publicly humiliate customers who have genuinely expressed their regret and apologized for their mistake. This type of behavior is not only unprofessional but also reflects poorly on the overall atmosphere of the restaurant.

After being seated inside because of the heat we have been abruptly asked to move outside when plenty of seating was available....food was okay ...there was a piece of chicken bone in my burger which caused a cut in my gum ...fries were over fried

The owner is rude. I order for a mango ice-cream cake they give me pistache. Asked for explanation they say eat the vanilla part. Knowing that I am allergic to pistache.. He goes I dnt care!
