An overall ok experience but we wouldn’t return as it was very uneven. The website shares very little information so it’s difficult to to know what to expect as far as the menu and it’s prices. The welcome was ok, the entire upper level tries to have the feel of an exclusive club, we never felt quite welcomed. Upon entry, we were asked if we wanted to keep our jacket with us, I was a bit intrigued by this as it is typical for a high end restaurant to provide a coat check. I declined to keep my jacket with me and they took it to the coat check. There is a beautiful bar area where we were told to go wait as our table was being prepared. If we were to return, we would want to go to that bar and have a cocktail before dinner but that option was never presented prior. Once at our table, our waiter greeted us with about as much charm as a Parisian… no charm or interest was paid to us. He brought us flat water and never even proposed anything else (sparking). He showed us where the menu that was rolled up on the table and left only to return a few minutes later, literally 2 min to see if we had any questions. I inquired about the 5 course dinner and it was like pulling teeth to get information about the content of the proposed dinner. He came back literally another 2 minutes later to see if we were ready to order, I gently asked him again to give us more time. Remember that nothing is available online prior to coming in to dine so everything is about discovery. Not accompanying us on that discovery process made us feel unwelcome. Finally my girlfriend and I decided on our choices. I was gonna take the 5 courses dinner and she was gonna have only an appetizer and 1 main course. The waiter told us this was not possible, the entire table had to choose the 5 course meal. This was disappointing as it could have been said before or mentioned on the menu. So in the end, we decided on 2 appetizers and 2 main course and the waiter walked away before I could tell him what I wanted to drink. An another staff member came by to talk to us and he mentioned that I should have chosen another appetizer to create myself a 5 course dinner, I mentioned that there was very little discussion that had been had with our waiter and that he never proposed another option. The same man helped me chose a wine. The food was good, the appetizers were very tasty and intricate in its tastes but again, very little information to accompany our courses. I felt mine was not as expected only to find out later we were served the wrong appetizers so they corrected by bringing us the specific appetizer (free of charge) which was indeed, spectacular. Our main course came and while it was good, it was not worth the money spent on our meat and fish, it was nourishing, it was not a culinary experience that such a high price would suggest (47$ for the fish and 49$ for beef) . We opted for a cheese for dessert, it was good but it’s not a dessert cheese, it was more like a fried cheese. I asked for a digestif but there is no menu (same as cocktails, no menu) and the bartender came to offer a few choices but he has very little to no knowledge about digestifs and the restaurant clearly doesn’t carry stock or knowledge in that matter. We paid the bill at our table, again, very little charm from our waiter and proceeded to go back to where we had handed off our winter jackets and we waited but no one came to assist us. They assisted another party next to us but we were left waiting. None of the staff we had encountered earlier seemed to be there anymore. In the end I walked to the end of the corridor to go get our jackets only to find them on top of a refrigerator, they clearly had been thrown there earlier in the night. That was the cherry on top. So in the end, Le Clan was a very uneven experience, I wouldn’t recommended it. If they aspire to be a top restaurant they have a lot of work to do to provide this experience that is worth the price that we paid for.

Best experience in Quebec, if you are a foodie it is a must go. From the music to the ambient to the food and pairing, everything impeccable. Don't be shy and ask to see the "graffiti" mural and the "speakeasy" bar. The price for sure is not cheap, but comparing to the price point this sort of experience is, is the best value for money you will find in the city. Try the tasting menu and don't hesitate on having the wine pairing.

$39 for a 4-course Friday set lunch is the city's best value for excellence in fine dining! Absolutely gorgeous, rich and delicious food. Friendly service. My only complaint would be that the dessert was pain perdu (bread pudding) but after an excellent mushroom soup, smoked fish and duck or white fish, I didn't really need dessert anyway! Japanese style toilets in a unisex bathroom were interesting! Jackalopes and quirky Last Supper art made this fun dining in a fine dining atmosphere!

Definitely the best restaurant we visited in Quebec. If you want high end dining for a reasonable price Le Clan is an entire experience. Amazing food, incredible attention to detail. We did the 6 course with wine pairing and it was absolutely amazing, the food, the ambiance, the service, all top notch.

Such an amazing experience. The moment you walk in you see the kitchen and you know you will be well taken care of. The service was outstanding and when they say let us take you on a food adventure they mean it. The food truly felt local to the region which completed the experience for us. The wine pairing was a nice touch of finesse. However, the desert at the end. My goodness, OUTSTANDING. The best desert I've had in my life. It was a combination of chocolate mousse, carrot cake and cheesecake. I'm not sure how they balance all the flavors but well done.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel. Nothing was in English not a menu server barely spoke English. She was getting fork and pork confused. I found the food undercooked especially the veal was chewy and raw extremely raw. We also didn’t find the atmosphere that fancy definitely didn’t live up to the expectations or the reputation it is given, I hope they improve on these areas. They do have potential to make this restaurant what they are aiming for. Our waitress was a doll Julia, she was patient accommodating while nothing was in English. She went through the menu with us a few times, and explained different options courses and entrées.

A restaurant with tasting sets of 4 or 6 dishes of your choice. If I'm not mistaken, there are a couple of separate dish options, but not many. We really liked this format, we were delighted. The service is top-notch. We really enjoyed the approach to serving the dishes – they were brought by different waiters sometimes, but very quickly. Personally, I liked the candies the most. Tender chocolate with mousse and crispy popcorn, just perfect. They told us that they slightly modify the menu every week and create a new set every month. We will definitely come again.

Had 6 course menu. Excellent food. Mostly good service. Would come back. Only criticism: disappointment with wine pairings. 3rd pairing was great, 4 were decent, 5th was lacklustre. Server poured last 3 wines instead of sommelier. Noted very strong latex presence in 5th wine, like rubbing my face in a rubber balloon so did not have more than a few sips. Asked the server if it was supposed to be like that or an off flavour, was told he would ask sommelier who never came. Skip the wine next time.

Just an incredible evening from start to finish! On a rainy night, we were greeted at the door of our taxi with an umbrella (nice!) and found ourselves in a cozy and elegant dining room. We did the tasting menu and I did the wine pairing. This is a Michelin level experience, the level of detail and execution is outstanding and with a passion for local ingredient’s sourced sustainably. Our waitress Lucie (the chef’s daughter) was superb and for me the best part of the evening was chatting with Antoine the sommelier about the paired wines and how he selected them. Fabulous evening without fussiness, isn’t that what every great meal should be? Highly recommend, it’s worth a trip to experience the food of Quebec.

The food was incredible!- Very good and Very locally inspired. The wine pairing and the knowledge of the sommelier was equally great. Unfortunately the food service was inadequate and inattentive at best. We were largely or completely ignored between courses and even when we attempted to make contact with the server to alert her that we needed something, she seemed to divert her eyes and walked away on several occasions. We could not even get the check in a timely fashion, despite finally making eye contact with the server, having finished the desert wine before the amuse Bouche. There was clearly something wrong with the ticketing / timing of the meal that they were not able to correct If I could give one star and not feel guilty for the sommelier and chefs I would. A $750+ meal for two people demands better service and attention or at least an attempt at service recovery. If the service had lived up to the food and wine pairings, this meal would parallel many of the finest I’ve had.

I recently dined at Le Clan and was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional experience. From the moment I stepped in, the service was impeccable. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Now, let's talk about the food. It was nothing short of amazing! Each dish was expertly crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. From appetizers to desserts, every bite was a delightful journey for the taste buds. Overall, Le Clan exceeds expectations with its top-notch service and delectable cuisine. It's definitely a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.

Had dinner at Le clan on a Friday night. Made my way up but had a bit of difficulties cos I kept on passing by what looked like the back of the restaurant. But it was actually the front! You almost enter through the kitchen if not for a flight of stairs right next to the entrance. I had requested a seat at the bar but was offered a table in the dining room instead. The decor of the restaurant, a reflection of the menu is a bit surf and turf, photos of fish, a moose head etc The service was on a slight edge as the restaurant was busy but always professional. The dishes were well thought through, and well executed. All the aromas and various techiques used were excellently combined. What stood out for me was the bread (from a local bakery), the crab dish and the mushroom shaped chocolate dessert. I would definitely try this restaurant again if I visit Quebec city.

Can’t say enough. We did a Wednesday 1300 lunch and where the only folks in the restaurant. Mathew our server was awesome spent time educating us on food and Quebec. The dishes were all great. From the asparagus soup, to the smoked salmon, foie gras, and the mains duck and pork chop. We had some amazing wines as well. Go for lunch must be the best deal in Quebec City.

Always incredible and delicious! I’ve been for dinner many times and just tried brunch. Highly recommend both. Le Clan is a great restaurant to experience fun, adventurous and elevated local cuisine. The staff are also excellent. Treat yourself to the 6 service menu and the wine pairing. You won’t regret it!

This is probably the best restaurant I have ever eaten at in both Canada and the United States. The six course meal as well as the spectacular desserts were delicious! The wine pairings were excellent and the service was wonderful. I highly recommend eating here for the excellent food, service, and atmosphere!!

Excellent food, great ambiance, awesome service. We went for the 6 course tasting menu. Glad we did as some of our favourite courses were things we did not expect and wouldn't have chosen had we gone a la carte.

All I can say is wow what an incredible experience! From start to finish it was amazing. My girlfriend and I had the 6 course tasting menu with the exceptional wine pairing served by Antoine who was so passionate about each wine it was infectious ! The food was delicious from the start to the end! All of the staff had a real passion for everything that the restaurant did. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant/experience when In Quebec.

Relatively new fine dining restaurant in Old Quebec. We did the price fix six course menu and the portions are super small by most people's standards. But the food was delicious and very expensive. The waiter was very good and the service was excellent.

I had the pleasure of trying the tasting menu here last night and wow! I loved absolutely everything about my experience. The food was incredible and presented in such a beautiful way. All of my dishes were so well explained in great details. Finally, the restaurant itself is so beautifully decorated. Every room had it's own style and character. I highly recommend it!

Amazing tasting menu experience from entry to exit. Service was outstanding. Very attentive, accommodating, engaging and educational. Food and wine pairings were each a delightful explosion of flavor in the mouth. Well portioned servings leaving us satisfied, but not overly full. Jackalopes on the wall added some whimsy.
