The hotel is not qualified as 4 star. The hotel is pretty old. The advertising pictures shows very nice and clean room. But it turns out very old. The furnitures are also broken a little. For example, they don't have smart TV. All you can watch is a small old TV with limited channels. The hotel doesn’t support free water. All u can have is the limited option in the minibar. Quebec city is a tourist place and people here may stay for not long but it doesn’t mean that reception can ignore customers’ request. The reception is not rude but not very polite at least. The duvet is not clean. we had to ask for a replacement. The hotel doesn't have slippers for customers even after request. I visited here in winter and it was snowing outside and it become more uncomfortable without slippers.

Great location. Steps away from all the historic and tourist spots. 10/10 walk score here. Warm and friendly front desk staff. Nicely renovated lobby. Room was very nice, if not a little tight. My only issue with the hotel was the sound insulation and the view from my window. I could hear every person walking through the hallway. If someone was listening to something on their phone, I could hear everything. My girlfriend and I found ourselves whispering in the room because we were concerned about privacy. We were in room 105. I must admit I was quite disappointed with the view. It became a bit of a running joke. I realize I wasn’t high up in the hotel, but maybe a bit more effort would have been appreciated. See pictures. I was paying for a 4-star hotel and got a 1-star view.

Wonderful hotel in a very central part of Quebec City! Loved the cafe across the street. Rooms were very pretty except the sliding bathroom doors didn’t lock. Also, be prepared to carry your luggage up the main lobby stairs unless the doorman is there to help! Was a great stay until the valet let us leave without the keys in our car, luckily we had the spare with us. The hotel has sent us our keys and we will hopefully be receiving them soon at our next hotel in New Brunswick.

Absolutely outstanding in every way, with great staff and wonderful amenities. It's not necessarily set up for families, and yet our kids absolutely loved the pool and weight room and we were made welcome among the business clientele just fine. Outstanding location, too.

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Manoir Victoria in Old Quebec. Our room was clean and tidy except for a splattering of something on the bathroom door. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The pool was good for the kids, but the highlight of our stay was Bernard at the front desk who makes you feel like a million bucks when he greets you at check-in. Each time we saw him he was friendly and enthusiastic. Thank you for making us feel so welcomed! The location of the hotel is excellent for walking to restaurants and the many Christmas markets.

Stayed there 4 nights with my family. We had 2 rooms on the 1st floor. Overall, for the price paid, I am sure there are better hotels in Quebec than this one. Positive points are : - nice and polite staff - bedrooms are big - central location in the old Quebec - at the entrance, there is Boulay bakery which is a great option for yummy breakfast as the one provided by the hotel is really bad - very efficient valet service if you have a car but a bit pricey - 30 dol per day But only giving a 3 stars because : - they are short of staff so housekeeping only came once for a 4 day stay - that’s clearly not enough and disappointing for a 4star hotel - breakfast is very expensive and honestly, very bad. Came there the 1st morning at 10.10am (service is ending at 11am). The scrambled eggs looked so old and cold that I asked to have new ones to be told they don’t have anymore eggs - 40 min before ending the service ? No more pain au chocolat, the fruits are clearly not fresh and coming from can. The room for breakfast does not have window For breakfast, you can go to Boulay bakery or Cafe maison smith - the 2 rooms we had were very dark as small windows looking on the roof - there is quite a significant staircase to access the hotel and the reception. So not a friendly hotel for people with less mobility - even though it is appreciated to have a pool and a gym, both are in the basement and look really really old. You don’t want to spend time there.

The people who worked here were very helpful and friendly and the location was perfect. The room was spacious and comfortable. Note that there is a long staircase to the lobby. Employees carried our luggage to and from the street for us, but if you have mobility issues this is probably not the hotel for you.

The location of the hotel was perfect for our stay. We were there for four nights. The rooms were big enough for two. There was a variety of food for breakfast. There is a pool which we used three out of the four nights and a sauna, which was perfect. We used to gym every day which had all the things you could need. Our check-in was very easy. The doorman Alexi gave us ideas for things to do while we stayed. There is a garage parking for $10 a day next door which we used since we did not need to use our car during the stay. I strongly recommend having ice machine on each floor. Having to go down to the basement every time we needed ice was super inconvenient especially when you’re staying for multiple days and when elevators are busy when the hotel is full. Also having a restroom open when the gym is open would also be great, having to take the elevator to use the lobby restroom or coming up to our room is super inconvenient. Please keep a restroom open outside pool hours. Other than that we had a great stay at the hotel.

Don't forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any hotel. This site will compare thousands of booking websites and normally will have rates much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the highest rated in this area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you choose this place you for sure will love it I'm sure! I am very happy that we stayed at this hotel. The hotel rooms are very clean. Also, the location is perfect

Make sure to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a resort. This website will compare hundreds of booking websites and usually will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the best in this area. I've been coming here for years. If you choose this place you definitely will love it I'm sure! Only stayed one night but this was a wonderful place to stay. Very clean and modern. Right near all the main streets and attractions of the city. You can walk from your place to anything you would want. Carl made our stay even better with being very helpful! A great porter to have.

Had stayed here a number of times in the past and was generally impressed with pricing, service, convenience, etc. This time though, I was disappointed. Turns out there’s now no housekeeping unless your stay is 3+ nights …really, for a 4 star hotel I can’t get basic housekeeping? So now people leave their garbage in the hall for housekeeping to clean up every morning. Unacceptable. Won’t be going back. Plenty of other solid hotels in the city.

A clean hotel that is very centrally located with available valet parking as well. the rooms include wifi and a continental breakfast which is pretty extensive. We never had a problem with breakfast running out. Some of the rooms don't have good views but others look onto the main street. All of the staff that we interacted with were professional, friendly, and helpful – especially the cleaning staff.

Room is clean and spacious, location is central and great, the hotel feels clean and modern, the pool and sauna are a nice addition, and the staff are helpful. I have one minor complaint that probably doesn't affect a lot of the clientele, and that's the in-room wifi. I feel that in 2023, a 4-star hotel should provide at least passable internet with your room. They offer free internet that barely works, with an upgrade of your internet from terrible to passable for $5, but at that price point why not just offer the guests that internet for free? You're telling me that a $75 per night Best Western can offer passable internet with room, but this 4-star hotel wants to squeeze $5 a day per person out of me just so I can catch up with a little bit of work and emails at night? Anyways, that's my only complaint, everything else about the hotel was great, I'd probably stay here again.

Location was incredible! Right in the old city, walking distance to everything you could possibly want to do. The only issue was the check-in process...our room wasn't ready on time and there were a LOT of people booking in at 4.

Beautiful hotel and lovely service. Be mindful that you must walk up a large flight of stairs at the entrance. They will assist with luggage, though. I found out later that they have a lift in the garage entrance. We also had to walk up additional stairs to get to our room. It made it difficult to manage luggage with mobility issues.

We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel, rooms were very clean and comfortable, the hotel employees were highly professional, courteous, helpful, welcoming and really kind. Also, thank you to Julian, Christine and Vaniet, who were around serving the breakfast time, providing excellent service.

Spent 3 nights to visit Quebec city for the first time. Comfortable and clean, prompt service. Rooms are well equipped, had to ask for a corkscrew although wine glasses were already in the room. Nice to have a pool and sauna after long days of walking. Didn't try Boulay restaurant, but the Cafe at the entrance had great pastries and coffee.

I have stayed in a few hotels in Quebec City, including the Frontenac. This is my favourite. It is elegant, modernised, well-laid out with large comfortable rooms. It is right on the edge of the most popular areas, so they are easy to access, without crowding your hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. We always use the valet parking, as we do not use our car while we are there. It's elegance matches the city itself - the best place in town.

I booked a room for business stay. There’s long staircase at the entrance to go the reception, and no elevator! So good luck if you have luggages. Restaurant kitchen is open till 10pm and the night I stayed there the resto was complete and the hotel doesn’t offer room service!! So NO room service! On top of that, the breakfast restaurant was closed during my stay and it wasn’t mentioned on their website. I would never book it if I knew there’s no breakfast. Not a convenient hotel to stay at all. This hotel should be rated 2-star not 4-star… Definitely Won’t come back here!

Great location very close for the old town. Arriving at the hotel is a bit stressful. No parking but the valet were really great. There are loads of stairs to get to the hotel which the valet helped with but it’s not ideal when you have heavy suitcases. Our room was lovely and we used the pool and gym as the weather was so bad. Staff very helpful. The hotel restaurant is closed on Mondays and there is no bar. Probably wouldn’t stay here again if we came back to Quebec.

I would rate this hotel 5 stars if there was a room service option for either the Chez Boulay restaurant or the Boulay coffee shop downstairs. Regardless, my partner and I stayed here for a week and absolutely loved this hotel. The staff is super friendly and helpful (Bernard is our favorite!). The entire establishment is clean, stylish, and modern. We also loved that the hotel is within walking distance of everything - the landmarks, food, nightlife, and tour pick-up locations. You can also purchase a variety of tour packages at the front desk. Just a disclaimer that there is a flight of stairs from the ground floor to the reception desk with no wheelchair access until you get upstairs to use the elevators that lead to the upper floors. However, the staff is helpful with bringing the bags up. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again!

Great stay. It was a 5 min walk from the train station and it was nice that they closed down the street close by on weekends in the summer. The room was nice, the AC worked well, and it was a very pleasant stay.

Bad reception, feels like coming to jail.and not hotel. Front desk barely speaks English. No parking available (even paid) for pickup trucks. No elevator on the entry except employee's. Long stairs to climb upon arrival to the room. Doest even offer a free water bottle in the room. Had to beg someone to get our bags up to the room. Finally, they approved. After 30 minutes, I still jad to go down myself to get them.

This was a great hotel! The room sizes were amazing, the staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. The one thing I would say would be a minor fault would be the price for the buffet was not ideal. Otherwise great location and place to stay!

From the moment you walk in to Hotel Manoir Victoria, you are welcomed and assisted by a variety of staff, all pleasant, helpful and professional. Rooms are on the smaller side, but very comfortable. The location is perfect for a stay in old town Quebec, just a half a block from Rue St. Jean, which is one of the main streets, offering a variety of puns, restaurants and shops. It is also within easy walking distance of so many historical sites including the Parliament, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Hotel Frontenac. The room rates at Hotel Manoir were very good too, which was a definite plus. I don't see how you can go wrong staying at this hotel.

Very nice hotel. Staff where great from check-in to leaving. Rooms were clean and quiet and the conference rooms where also well fitted. Unless there is a separate entrance though, accessiblity could be an issue. To reach lobby and elevators, there is a flight of stairs.

Stayed for one night. It was a pleasant stay. The room is clean, well equipped. Plus point for valet parking service they are very helpful. With the price I paid for, I would pick this one again for next trip.

Stayed here for 5 days/4 nights. First room was very long and had robes and water available. You had to pay for the water though. We had to move rooms due to extending my stay. This went sideways as they didn't let me know it was changing. They opened up the door while my partner was showering which was awkward. The second room had no robes and no water available. Keep in mind there is also no room service here and if you are mobility challenged, there is a large set of stairs to climb.

Very clean and modern, well equipped, just note you need to use valet as parking is not available. Pool is clean and nice, gym is small but sufficient. Staff are very nice, we speak French but they are fluent in both French and English, you just walk 2 minutes and you are in best area of old Quebec, all the pubs and restaurants are walking distance, highly suggested!!!

Due to covid and short stay no cleaning of room unless specifically asked for. Only a short distance from the station but get a taxi unless you can walk up an extremely steep hill. When got to hotel 4 flights of stairs to get into reception, all Bell boys stood at top and offered no help!!. Claims to have a bar but this is part of an attached bistro,so if do not have a reservation they will not serve you and are very rude if you dare ask for a drink ,no room service only a mini bar. Will be a good hotel when restrictions limits lifted! and all services resumed. Note. Pre book bistro in hotel and or any restaurant in the city.

We had a great stay here this passed weekend. The hotel was clean and covid friendly. The rooms were simple but cozy. The staff were excellent, Bilingual, friendly, greeted us always with a smile ans very helpful. The location was perfect for us. Away from the noise but close to action. Adjacent to the upper old town, a five minute walk to the breakneck stairs leading to the lower old town. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Stayed at this hotel with my family for 4 days. The front desk staff is very friendly. The hotel is clean, the room was spacious and welcoming. To use the hotel pool you have to book at reception, but the process is very simple and fast. Loved the location of Hôtel Manoir Victoria is closed to stores, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Great price for the service we received.

I was looking for an airbnb but they were fully booked. But we need a parking spot so we picked this hotel which provide valet parking with a small extra fee. We had a small bedroom for 1 night. The room is well decorated and has all you need. Its in the heart of quebec city. Everywhere is with in 15mins walking distance. A very very good stay.

  • 3/5 Claire T. 2 years ago on Google
I had a comfortable stay, however there was no room cleaning. Not even when I specifically requested. They said they would not enter the room at all. This was an issue because I stayed 4 nights and did not have any of my own cleaning products. My garbages were overflowing so I put them in the hall. At one point I had a list of items I had to go and get myself from the front desk. Seems strange to charge the same amount but not offer the same services. The room had some signs of age and wear and tear but was overall clean. Bed was firm and sagging in the middle but comfy and pillows were good quality. Towels were nice and soft. The shower had good pressure and we also had a bath tub with nice extra hot water. They do have the stairs at the entrance to the building so I think it would have helped to have a bell hop at the front door to help people with their bags up the stairs. It was hard to get a bell hop to help at all. Location was great, right by Paillard, and in the old town. 5 minutes walk from the train station. Hotel workers were very friendly and the lobby is nice and modern. I did not use any hotel amenities but they have a pool and gym. The room had a fridge and coffee maker, which were useful. I think price wise there are better deals in town, especially if you can find a place that still cleans the rooms during your stay.

The hotel is beautiful, the staff are friendly and the location is incredible, there is so much nearby but, I'm not sure it's worth the price. Since we were only there for 2 nights they did not come by for housekeeping, but you could ask for replenishments of certain things. The room was decent in size but had quite a small bathroom, no kettle (only a keurig machine with awful coffee/tea and only powdered milk) and no mini-bar. There was a fridge, but for 4 stars I would expect more. The hotel has a restaurant that is part of it, we didn't go but it did look very nice. There is a gym and pool but both are very, very small. There's no bar and no room service. I assume that room service was removed because of COVID but I think it could be safely reinstated. Last thing I want to mention is the TV. There was a nice sized TV in the room but it had very few channels and you couldn't connect netflix or anything. We didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel but it's nice to watch some TV before bed.

Stayed there with my family for 3 nights. Friendly Staff, nice location(right in the middle old Quebec city). Check in / Check out was smooth. Swimming pool was well equipped with a life guard on site. The room size was a bit smaller than we thought. Also, they did not provide room cleaning service since we only stayed for 3 nights. Upon request, they did replenish the room instead. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay for us.

Very nice, clean and pleasant rooms. Comfortable beds and great showers. The loby is roomy and staff is nice and welcoming. Location is great for access by foot to restaurants, sights and most of attractions are within walking distance. The parking is a major issue tho, at $35 /day it is much cheaper to park at a public parking down the street for $10.

Hotel Manoir Victoria was the perfect base during my three-day trip to Quebec City in July. It is centrally located, adjacent to the commercial center of Rue St-Jean, and within a 10-minute walk from the rest of Vieux-Quebec (Old City). The service was impeccable. The stairs to the lobby weren't an issue at all, because the friendly bellhops carried the suitcases up to the hotel room. The room was clean, and spacious, and offered a wonderful view of the city and mountains. There is a pool and gym here, too. My only complaint is that the breakfast is oddly expensive ($78 CAD for a family of four). The only way around it is by walking over to the cafes on nearby Rue St-Jean.

4.5 stars for hotel Manoir Victoria. Good location, helpful staff, decent WiFi and nice rooms with some exceptions: the pillows were all too high and slighly lumpy, and there was no kettle or tea in the room, just a coffee-machine like thing. Good AC.

We had a great stay and the hotel is located in the heart of Old Quebec. Everything is walking distance from the hotel which is ideal. Keep in mind the hotel has no elevator so you'll need to walk up stairs to get to the front desk and to the hotel elevators to your room. Also, I would recommend checking in before late evening like maybe before 8 or 9. We arrived at the hotel passed 10pm and we had to bring our luggage up. There were no porters to help us as they all went home. Four stars for service, because the front desk seems to want to rush service in helping you. Kinda like they don't want to be bothered. However, I would still recommend this hotel and would stay here again when I plan to return to Quebec.
