This was beyond a doubt one of my worst experiences. I have travelled to more than 50 countries and have stayed in accommodation from 5 star in Vietnam to minus 5 star in Rwanda. I have never experienced such rudeness. In this hotel we were given 2 electronic keys one of which didn’t work. The air conditioning in the room did not work. The advertised breakfast was not available. Etc etc. When I contacted the management about these issues they made it sound like it was my fault. “No one has complained before”. When I called to say we were leaving, I was told “we don’t want guests like you. You must be too old”. Not only is this rude it is a human rights violation in Canada. DO NOT STAY HERE

I would give negative stars if I could. We had such a horrible experience with this hotel that we can barely even believe it happened. The owner of the hotel was verbally abusive and threatened us physically when we arrived, for no reason at all. We had to call the police, left the hotel immediately, and were forced to find a new hotel in the middle of the night. Don't book this hotel. Check Penny Parnes review. This is not an isolated incident.

The room was beautiful and the staff were so friendly and kind. Our stay was one of the best we have ever had at a hotel. Being so close to the Old City adds to the already great experience and there are many great places to eat nearby.

We stayed at this wonderful little hotel from Aug 21-22. Marcel took so much pride in helping us settle in comfortably. It is beautifully decorated with a Van Gogh influence, clean and Marcel, the hotel keeper, is extremely attentive. Thank you. We would recommend 100 percent.

The hotel has only 12 rooms but it is cosy and you feel welcome . what is also important it is only a 10 minute walk from Old Town, very convenient walk, great parking ( after few bad experiences in Quebec- with garage parking this hotel has a great indoor parking)!

We stayed five nights and would stay here again. Everyone was very helpful, the location was great, and we were quite comfortable. We had a bit of trouble making the TV and DVD player work, and we would have liked a tea kettle in the room, but these were offset by the pluses. The room was spacious and quite nice. We appreciated the coffee maker in the room and the good service. Thank you!

Location was amazing. You are close to everything without paying for it. Breakfast was delicious (honestly, probably better than a lot of restaurants). There's also some negative as well. Room was comfy but you can see that the material is outdated. Old TV, old media player, old hair dryer. Also, you can see that the rooms maintenance is not a priority. The shower knob was broken, the window knob as well, the shower fan is extremely loud and need to be replaced. Overall, I wish they put a bit more love in the maintenance part. If it's broken, just order the part and replace it instead of ignoring it. Although, I will be back, definitely a great place to stay

Really enjoyed my stay here. Everything is close by. The room was clean and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you might need to enjoy a meal or two. Super modern and comfortable.

The front desk staff were really pleasant. The room itself was clean. The foot cover at the end of the bed had some questionable stains and our sheet had a rather large rip in it. The room was a lovely temperature, with a remote to control the air conditioning. We couldn't figure out how to make the shower cooler, but that might have just been us. Neither of our original keys worked on the door into the room from the street., thankfully we checked before heading out and they replaced one of the two keys. Breakfast was really good, but all options were supposed to come with a meat side and they did not ask, nor serve it with my partner's meal. Overall a pleasant stay.

The employees and breakfast were excellent, and the location is between the newer and the older city, able to walk to both. A few odd elements, they close the lobby at night and there is no night attendant, but we always felt safe. Also, no elevators. One large issue we had was that room 9 smelled excessively of mothballs, It appeared to be a common issue with that room specifically. So much so that I got significant headaches. We asked to move, but the hotel was full. They did move us the second night to a smaller but far more comfortible room and gave us a free breakfast. Overall it was a good experience, though I wish we did not have to deal with the mothball room.
