I love going to the restaurant and have tried most of Quebec city’s and Montreal’s best restaurants. I can easily say that Battuto is in the top 3 meals I’ve ever had! The food is simply amazing and the service is great. It’s also really nice to eat A+++ food in a laid back ambiance (it’s not a stuck up vibe like some restaurants). I literally dropped a tear of joy while eating as it was so good. This was the only time this has happened while eating and I simply could not keep the smile off of my face. Truly a memorable and wonderful experience! It’s also a really great quality/price, I was expecting the bill to be higher but it was quite reasonable! It’s a must-try in Quebec City, be sure to book several weeks in advance though as it is a small restaurant and it’s really popular. Longue vie au Battuto!

Goodness gracious. Amazing. The only appropriate review is to thank the owners and to thank the very welcoming host and the very fine people who have created this establishment. It is in truth near to perfect. If you truly enjoy food and enjoy wonderful hospitality, I highly recommend Battuto. Once again. Thank you to the owner and to our server and to the tremendously skilled and gracious people that prepared our meal.

Great atmosphere, high quality ingredients; mind blowing flavours. It is a small intimate place with an open kitchen - we really enjoyed watching them make our meal. All our dishes were great - the scallops, strawberry tart and pistachio ice cream were my favourite - service was wonderful - We got very lucky and found an open reservation 2 days before we ate there - so happy that we had the opportunity to eat here!

One of the better experiences I’ve had dinning out in a long time. The evening went down like a well practiced orchestra performing their best symphony. Service, food, and ambiance all at the top of their game. Looking forward to returning to try next seasons menu.

It is criminal how affordable the food is here given the quality, conceptual thinking, and technique shown on the plates. But what is most beautiful is how the team looks like they're having fun while preparing the dishes and engaging with guests. It genuinely feels like you've been invited into a home.

Only one word, exceptional! Every plate we had were amazing, very tasty and high quality. Only downside is that you have to be lucky to get a spot as it gets fully booked pretty quickly. Thanks again for this super experience!

I don’t typically leave reviews but this is a special case. The restaurant itself has extremely poor atmosphere and is unreasonably small (almost elbow to elbow with other guests). The atmosphere consisted of a bike rack, street tree and old patio furniture. This was also a detriment as they allow dogs to sit on the patio, a very unhygienic practice (this was clearly no service animal). The server had no interest in our table and was absent the entire night following taking our order (probably the worst service I’ve ever had). We ordered simply to ensure we would be on time for later plans but we waited from 7:45pm- 9:30pm to receive our food. Once finished we waited another 20min before the plates were removed, at which time we had to take the bill as there was no time for dessert. The food itself was very good but the service and atmosphere are seriously lacking .

Good quality food. Very small portions and not recommended if you're actually hungry. I had to go grab a burger elsewhere after dinner. Probably wouldn't go back.

Absolutely amazing! The servers were nice and helped translate many of the dishes on the menu. Food was the best I have ever tasted at any restaurant and I strongly recommend coming here if you come to Quebec City. Going to come here again!

We were able to get a reservation for a table at Battuto on the same day as we arrived in town (though it popped up last minute so wouldn't recommend waiting to reserve). This place did not disappoint. We ordered the suppli al telefono (arancini), cod cake balls, beef carpaccio, scallops, lamb pasta, grilled pork brochette, strawberry tart and raspberry & pistachio terrine. The aracini was the best I've ever had - crispy with a creamy interior and filled with a generous amount of gooey provolone. The terrine was heavenly. The flavours in all the dishes were balanced - no complaints. The service was very friendly, patient and attentive. Our server Émilie went through the whole menu with us in English and gave us suggestions for portions which was very appreciated. She was great!

We ordered everything on the menu so we could share and taste everything. Everything was fantastic! Known as one of the best restaurants in Canada, we reserved 3 months in advance...but you can take a chance for last minute reservation. You can eat at a table or at the counter and see the chefs preparing your meal. You can ask questions. Service is superb, quite friendly. Price is truly reasonable for the quality. It is not located in the best place in town but it is worth going. A restaurant for the "connaisseurs".

I tried the take out option, really really good dinner. The instructions were clear, the food was really good and portions are generous.

Amazing experience. Every single dish was an explosion of flavors. Portions are smaller which allows you to try multiple meals. Two of us shared four dishes and tiramisu and were satisfied not crazy full. Gnudi di ricotta was probably my favorite but bison tartare or seared tuna were amazing too! Super pleasant staff, very nice ambiance and we could have our dogs on the patio😍 what else do you need?

I don't even know where to begin in saying how phenomenal my meal was, beginning with a recommendation from the server of a wonderful glass of red wine. The menu changes constantly so it wouldn't be worth mentioning what I ate however, I did get the focaccia and the olives and the gnudi. And then finished off the meal with the almond and chocolate tart. I am still in absolute heaven thinking about how many layers of flavor each item had in addition to the quality and preparation of each dish. This restaurant is well worth the time to sit and enjoy each course along with excellent staff on a quaint corner of the street. I appreciate everyone who has made a good recommendation in the reviews for this restaurant as that's how I decided to eat here, and I am so very glad I did!

So we just left and are already planning a time to come back. Honestly one of the absolute best meals I have ever had. We had to try a little of everything and I’m so glad we did! The staff is so friendly and helpful! Watching them prepare the meal is such a great experience. It’s small and cozy and absolutely perfect!! We cannot wait to come back!

A Culinary Gem Worth the Elusive Michelin Star After years of attempting to secure a reservation at this extraordinary restaurant, I can attest to its exceptional quality, making it more than worthy! Persistence finally paid off as I managed to secure a coveted reservation at this establishment, renowned for its exquisite culinary offerings. The anticipation and excitement were palpable as I entered the doors, eager to indulge in the gastronomic experience that had eluded me for so long. Let's dive into the dishes that awaited, each one a testament to the culinary prowess of this establishment. The beef tartare, a culinary masterpiece, showcased the chef's mastery in the art of raw preparations. The finely diced, top-grade beef, delicately seasoned and paired with complementary ingredients, created a harmonious blend of flavors that delighted the palate and left me yearning for more. The burrata, a true delicacy, exemplified the restaurant's commitment to sourcing the finest ingredients. The creamy, luscious burrata cheese and it's fresh ingrediants, resulting in a burst of freshness and indulgence with every bite. It was a tantalizing start to the culinary journey that lay ahead. One standout dish was the veal rice, a true revelation in taste and texture. The succulent, tender veal, cooked to perfection, resulting in a comforting and memorable symphony of flavors. It was evident that meticulous care had been taken to ensure that every element of the dish harmonized flawlessly, showcasing the culinary team's dedication to their craft. And then there was the pasta, an embodiment of creativity and craftsmanship. The handmade pasta, lovingly crafted with precision, boasted a perfect al dente texture. Each bite transported me to culinary bliss as I savored the exquisite combination of flavors, carefully curated by the skilled hands of the chef. It is no surprise that securing a reservation at this restaurant is a Herculean task, with bookings filling up within a mere 10 minutes each month. The demand is a testament to the unparalleled dining experience that awaits lucky patrons fortunate enough to secure a spot. In conclusion, this establishment is a hidden gem in the culinary world, deserving of the elusive Michelin star. The dedication to sourcing exceptional ingredients, the mastery in flavor combinations, and the unwavering commitment to culinary excellence set it apart. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a dining experience that transcends expectations and leaves an indelible mark on the palate.

Takes timing and luck to reserve here. On the last Saturday of the month at noon they open the next month. You need to be ready and flexible. Within 5 minutes it's over and you may or may not have gotten a place. Everything we had was excellent , the only "ok" dish was the pasta with red sauce main course. It wasn't bad just nothing you can't have at home easily. Prices are reasonable which is one of the big reasons it's so popular.

A meal with several courses in a great restaurant usually end up with one or two "wow" , one or two disappointments and several good-but-not-excellent plates. Our meal ended up with almost exclusively "wows"! Apart from my disappointment with the kale that ruined my otherwise quite good sweetbread dish, the other plates where tasty, original and a real delight. Incredible tuna dish and the sauce of the potato shrimp balls was amazing.

It lives up to its reputation. I will return once or twice before summer ends. It's the only way I can taste the food because I can get seated on the patio. Highly recommended!

Small restaurant with big flavours! The suppli, scallop crudo, beef carpaccio, corn raviolo and the cannolis with haskap berries were some of the highlights. Fabulous experience overall :)

Perfect food and service, having traveld all around qc, this is definitely worth it's name being mentioned when talking about the best restaurants in the province. Cannot be more happy to have this opportunity to dine in. Thank you to the great chefs that made my meal!
