You know I get that Quebec has turned into a tourist attraction big time. It was my first time visiting Quebec and I was very disappointed!!! Would I ever go back no wayyyyyy for the price your paying omg I couldn't even say the food was mediocre it wasn't at all! I am not trying to sabotage but really just because it's tourist city down there you should still care about what your serving. You need to get a chef who knows how to truly make it. I'm sorry get an Asian chef. Unless your born and bred in Japan then fine make it. Not trying to be rude, If your not don't disgrace the country's food by making it the way you did. It was disgusting my fa.ily literally couldn't eat it. I shared with my kid and forced 5 pcs of California rolls I didn't like it one bit not taste what so ever! If anyone says they enjoyed it they lying or you guys pretty much don't know about food. I'm from TORonto so yah we go tasty food down here !! Trrrrust me on that ! I can find 10 out 10 dishes.. but I must say the food you guys were serving was to be nice 2 out of 10. Listen go ahead and try it and you'll be disappointed. I know we're asian people .. we know how it suppose to taste like. But don't take it personal. I've encounter chefs that can make the countries food but that's due to high learning and teachings from the Asian chefs. To tell u the truth the food here tasted like a new chef just learning the trade. Who ever is the owner of this place better think twice on who your hiring just bc you may get us just once and we have no idea how it taste and we purchase it and then it taste yah gross .. yes you've taken our money but will I ever be back ? Never. My other family members had the Udon no flavor what so ever literally had to put soya sauce for some sort of flavor and even then they didn't want to eat it so 25 dollars for each of those went to drain and my dad forced himself to eat some of theirs as they hardly even touched it. Then my dad had stomach pains that evening constantly at the toilets not cool and my tummy felt slightly upset but slowly went away. Please really read my review no lie. That's how they make their money. One time customers grabbers so they don't care of quality. Disappointing! Sorry .. fix it up put some love into the food you serve ! Come down here and try some real Japanese food! No disrespect!

Worst service ever experienced! It took the restaurant over 40 minutes after ordering to prepare 4 small orders of sushi/poke bowl. The guy in the picture with the mask not even covering his nose (during the 4th wave pandemic), who happens to be one of the chefs, was extremely rude. He offered no apologies for the slowness of service but instead questionned why we did not ask how long it would take for the food to be prepared! Who in the right mind would think to ask such a question?! They should have warned us if they had expected to take a long time to prepare the food! When asked, they didn't even provide us with the sharing bowls. When we asked them again, the guy with the mask half on started yelling at us and said we didn't ask for the bowls. We told him we had asked the lady staff. He then pretty much threw the bowls on our table and asked us to eat and leave! During our week long stay in Quebec City, we have encountered numerous nice, helpful and friendly Quebecois. This guy is definitely a DISGRACE to Quebec!!! Last but not least, the sushi was NOT good at all!!! The 4 small orders cost almost $100! And we had to prepay before the food came and hence had paid them a 15% tip for absolutely NO SERVICE!!! Worst restaurant we've EVER been to!

This place exceeded our expectations for sure. I just needed some noodle soup for our tired kindergartner but, wow, this was some of the best chicken udon I've ever had. Our family finished all 4 bowls and everyone loved it, kids and adults alike. Well done!

Real garbage food, not fit to give to your dog. Chicken poke bowl covered and layered in several types of mayonnaise and brown sauce, could not even see the meat, looked like vomit. Did not eat it. The watermelon boba drink was so sweet as to be undrinkable. Very expensive ($23, before tax) for that poke bowl, and slow service.

The service was great with a cozy atmosphere and a kind cook but the food, mostly the udon, was not exactly flavorful. Perhaps the base soup being miso caused the taste. Anyways, continue the hard work because the sushi had a great taste to it.

Amazing maki rolls! The freshest salmon. The service was pretty fast too. Had the mango bubble tea as well. To my surprise, it wasn’t too sweet, which allows you to taste the fresh mango flavour. Worth a try!

If you are in this area and don't want to pay $30 for a poutine...this is great sushi, and I know sushi. Udon is excellent too.

The restaurant is busy with only two staff members, also the price for the food it quite expensive for the portion. If you must eat sushi and price isn’t any issue then this is location.

Would not recommend - long wait, part of our meal was forgotten, very overpriced, table not cleaned - others around us experiencing similar issues, two other customers actually complained while we were there. In fairness, they did provide an extra sushi roll as an apology for how long it took, but this was not an experience I would recommend.

Fabulous udon and amazing poke bowl. Big appetite? You won't finish the portion. Friendly service. Highly recommend this restaurant near Chateau Frontenac. Best sushi in Quebec City.

I don’t normally write reviews, but I found the service to be great! One of the chefs serving us was very welcoming and attentive. Didn’t ask for his name, but he is bilingual and will notice if you speak a different language. We ordered a Seafood Udon, Chicken Udon, and the Osaka sushi set which were all lightly savoury and filling. I’d recommend the Seafood Udon the most.

Orders three chicken udon noodle. Very Big bowl but with super few noodle which can’t even fill my five year old kid’s stomach. My slim wife finish the noodle in only a few minutes. The soup was made with miso flavor bag, very unauthentic udon. $19 each? This is the biggest joke for my whole day. Given all these mentioned above x Highly over priced, almost $80 for eating something I feel regret for the whole day. Very poor restaurant, please don’t come! You will for sure regret your decision to come.

Would not recommend coming here. We came here for a quick lunch and waited over an hour for an udon noodle soup and a sushi roll (which they forgot). Food is very overpriced and tastes only ok. Other customers around us were having similarly negative experiences.

The cook creates a new Udon recipe by mixing chinese.. all i could taste in the soup was cilantro and beet (NOT in a good way!) The noodles were like light plastic bought cheaply from an asian market.

This is the worst sushi restaurant. 1. For Udon, they put noddle into the miso soup. 2. They use only half portion of the udon that you can get from the store. 3. Surprisingly, they cooked Udon in the rice cooker. So, it melted in my mouth like flour. 4. 2 rolls and Udon took 45 minutes to get. 5. No washroom. You can't wash your hand before you eat. Lol 6. Taste was okay, but don't expect sushi taste lol. 7. Over over over priced. To. Owner, Udon that you use is already cooked, so you will need to serve it right away without cooking. Jut put to the hot water for 30 sec. Thanks!

Worst experience of our life. DO NOT EAT HERE. Walked in and had second thoughts already. Only 1 worker behind the counter, there were 3 tables before us. We placed our big order around 6:30pm, the table next to us got their food around 7:30pm. Understandably, only 1 worker and another arrived to make bubble tea which was okay. Then another guy arrived later on. Other people walked in and got their orders in 30mins to an hour. By 8pm, they closed the doors, still our order hasn't arrived. Our $90 Sushi Boat finally arrived around 8:15pm, food was okay but not worth the money. Our kids, getting hungry at this point. 8:30pm, finally the kids Udon arrived and there were very little noodles and some pulled chicken (looks like leftover from some rotisserie). Kids ate but said it wasn't very good. Can't say anything good or worth what we spent here. My son said he'd give no stars if he can.

The server was rude. We ordered bubble tea in French, asked one english question, and he was rude the entire time. He lied about the flavour I asked about (Noix Cocao, he told me it was dark chocolate, I looked it up later). He then gave me 2 wrong orders on purpose even though I ordered in french and it was an easy translation. Chocolate Blanc, and he gave us 2 Cappuccinno instead. I did not argue about the order because I didn't want to waste my time, or speak more with that rude boy. I would never recommend that place to anyone. The bubble tea was good though, despite his attempted sabatoge.

Food was ok but not what I ordered. They hide behind their poke bowl when you order the Salmon, tuna and crab. There was no crab in sight. They of course state there was mixed in with the toppings and had an attitude that someone would ask. Was really hoping to like this place.

I stopped by Japon to try their poke bowl and sushi. I found both to be tasty, but the chicken poke bowl was especially delicious. The restaurant is pretty small and more suitable for take-out on busy nights.

Our family came to Japon restaurant without even planning to. As big lovers of Asian cuisine we decided to give a try to this place and Gosh, was the food a-m-a-z-i-n-g! The menu does not provide a ton of options but enough to get a plentiful variety meal. We got an Osaka sushi set, a Philadelphia roll, a chicken soup with thick white noodles (forgot the name) and a chicken poke. The wait time was less than 20 minutes. My younger son (3 years old) loooved the chicken noodle soup, my eldest enjoyed the poke rice and husband and I devoured everything. We could barely finish all the food as the portions are huge. The ingredients were the freshest, thus the dishes tasted so goood. The service was very friendly, the guys were ready to help and give us some hot water and regular spoons for the kids. I appreciated the ability to see the sushi chef at work right in the front making sushi. I wish this spot were in my city. We came to Quebec on vacation and hopefully will stop by this sushi spot more than once while we are still in gown. Thank you very much guys! Keep up the great work!

We were visiting from another country and dining there. Server was pleasant but she almost doubled our check and I didn't catch it in time. Was tired at the time being and confused with currency conversion. Food was good but this blunt dishonesty really ruined it. Beware Edit. I've tried several times to reach out via phone, left messages... no avail

I had a salmon poke bowl and miso soup which were both delicious. I have a big appetite and was not able to finish the poke bowl. The service was friendly and I would recommend this restaurant located up the street from the Chateau Frontenac.

Great food, great service. The lychee bubble tea was top notch, the little fresh kick of cilantro in the seaweed salad was a nice touch 🤌. Fun joint, interested to try more of their menu. 🙂

Food was Excellent!!!, but service was kind of weird, between passing 3 different waiters and waiting almost 1hr for a pokeboll and 2 plates of sushis. I'd say the menu is a bit on the expensive side when looking at the service of the waiters and the food (can have similar quality for cheaper at other restaurants).

This was some of the best sushi I've had. Everything was really fresh and the cook and waitress working there were amazing thx
