😠 Worst ever service and food. Although restaurant not at all busy, food came after 1.30hrs. Food quantity was too less. Even the curries supposed to be spicy were sweet. People often mention restaurant, paneer, server, order, service,

Paid for a meal for two with three main dishes and they replaced palak paneer with cheap vegetables curry. Asked for spicy and it was not even mild, no spice at all. Flavourful, but I cook better Indian dish at home :/ Portion is the only saving grace, we had food for dinner and lunch the next day. Take-out service was fine, we got there by the time they said it was ready and got our bags really quickly.

Bad attitude, daal came out very spicy and after providing feedback, the server was trying to defend and not apologetic at all. Very long waiting time for food. We saw more orders being picked up for online delivery while keeping people in restaurant on wait. Finally heard a racist comment as well when no tip was given. I would never visit it again.

Worst Food I've ever had in my life! Had to wait for 2 hours for the food which was not even worth it. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone coming in Quebec City. This review is issued for the betterment of the society! Please do not visit this restaurant as the owner is VERY RUDE AND TAKES MANDATORY & FORCEFUL TIP OF 15%! Go only if you want food poisoning!!

We went to the restaurant at 8.20 pm and the restaurant really disappointed on thrfronts. Firstly the food arrived at 9.45 pm though the order was given by 8.45 pm and server kept saying 5-7 minutes all the time. Secondly, the dish dal tadka was too spicy and when we mentioned this to server, he was rude and told it is perfectly fine instead of accepting the mistake . We had a child with us and when we mentioned it is inedible for the child, he agreed to change with much resistance . With all this delay and resistance, when we refused to tip, the server behaved very inappropriately with us. Really disappointing service. Avoid if you can.

❌ This is NOT an INDIAN RESTAURANT ❌ I wanted to run away as soon as I stepped in. It was in a bad condition, not maintained. Saw only one person doing everything. We were so hungry and tired we decided to ask the server for the specialty and go with it. He said ‘bhuna paneer’ is good, we ordered it, malai kofta, and naan. - Naan was freshly made, soft and nice - Bhuna paneer was like kadhai paneer with no spices and salt - Malai kofta was the highlight of the trip, it looked like shahi paneer in safron gravy, with paneer cubes and few besan bhajia. I would have appreciated if the server would have said try our daal instead/or anything else instead of serving a cocktail of shahi paneer and bhajji (what a big disappointment) The server was not wearing mask and as he was the only person he was busy and not to be seen nearby for drinking water refill or any other request. NOTE: This is not an Indian Restaurant!! All the good ratings and reviews are by the profile which has only one review and if you look at the names carefully they are funny, all fake profiles have rated it 5 ⛔️

I just want too give this restaurant zero star its totally unprofessional and zero ethics restaurant. I just called the restaurant for dine in and he said no reservation is required you can just come in, and when i reached restaurant that guy says that we are closing no dine in a very rude tone just because they wanted to close the kitchen earlier. I had to drive 20 mins to reach the restaurant and than got this kind of response. So unprofessional restaurant.

There is just one guy doing it all. He giveth and he taketh away. He takes the order, he brings the food, he cleans the tables, he fills your glass with water (if he so desires), he swipes your card, he greets and seats the guests - he does it all. For ALL tables in the restaurant. If you are willing to spend 2 hours on a meal that doesn't even taste good this is the place to be in QC. Funny thing is he asked me to leave a Google review while leaving. You are welcome bhai.

Bad and rude service. Cooks whatever he wants and not what you order. Terrible taste. Not clean. It is better to be hungry than go there. it’s minus rating restaurant. This so called malai kofta should be enough to keep you away

Not happy with the service. We six of us went to this restaurant searching Indian food. We were quite hungry and exhausted. Server had mix up of orders and when we asked more spoons to serve food, server ( apparently owner) said I have given 6 spoons! Each one using one spoon, there is no extra spoon to serve the food ( biriyani, egg rice, shani paneer and baingan curry). With hesitation he brought 2 spoons! He did not ask for refill of water. Definitely not good service. Finally heard a racist comment as well when no tip was given. I would never visit it again.

Worst experience ever. We ordered 8 naan and curry for takeout. The guy asked to wait for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, we went in and he said it’s not ready. After 2 hours, he came and said naan is over. He then gave the ready made frozen parathas. Even the curry was worse. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Man at the counter is unknowledgeable which is fine, but he is also resistant to listening. We went for dine-in, 1 Quebec resident and 3 Ontario residents. According to Quebec, anyone from outside has to show proof with ID, which we were willing to do. (Attached photo). It's alright, can keep the restaurant empty no problem.

I don't recommend this place, we wasted our time and we ended up looking for somewhere else to eat, Québec city should assume the responsibility of giving permission to such restaurants to operate,

Chef or whoever cooked the food forgot to put salt. In the name of veg biryani, not a single vegetable showed up. Very expensive in comparison to the quality of food. Strange that they are known by two names salaam Namaste and shahi tandoori. Don't get misguided by the names. Not at all Indian. It's just a facade. Probably it gets customers because of the strategic location near the Best Western hotel. Otherwise people would not bother to go there in the daytime.

I think today this place is understaffed. Just finished sitting a "full hour" the attendant hasn't taken my order nor offered any water. Left the restaurant without eating. Won't return to this restaurant and would not recommend.

It took us an hour to get our order. Even though it was all empty & they said 20 to 25 mins to prepare. Haven't tasted the food yet. But extremely disappointed and frustrated.

I wish i could give it zero star. Rubbish garbage food. Shahi paneer is coconut paneer. They don’t tell you first that they need vaccine certificate they tell after order. Guys never go there save money.
