This was one of the best experiences of my life and definitely the best thing I've done in southern Thailand so far. It was my first time and I was initially really nervous. The staff was super understanding, knowledgeable and helpful and helped me throughout the whole experience. I went for two half days in a row and, even if we were in a group, they still tailored the climbs according to each one's capacity. Every one of the instructors was super great. They showed us how to do each climb and taught us knots and other things. There were people of all ages and from all paths of life, including older people and children. We couldn't do the caves because of bad weather but we climbed several rocks and it was still amazing. The view was incredible. My instructor's name was Neil and he was truly outstanding. I had a moment where I froze on the rock because I was scared of the height, and he reassured me and helped me come down. On the following climbs he taught me and motivated me to do slightly harder ones each time to get the most out of my experience. I am so grateful and the activity was worth every penny. Even if we were in a big group they still took care of us individually and were super friendly and nice as well as extremely professional. Thank you so much guys. I would recommend long trousers as the rocks can scratch your knees. Also short nails, lots of water, snacks and sunscreen. I will definitely go again and highly recommend it to everybody.

Loved my experience with Real Rocks climbing! It was my second time to climb at Railay, and I will go with Real Rocks again if I get a chance. They are a team of confident, competent, experienced climbers and guides who do an excellent job to make everyone feel safe and capable. I appreciate their relaxed demeanor and jokes paired with their encouragement and extensive knowledge of the wall. All-around an excellent day at Railay!

What a fantastic day! I did the beginner half day climbing session as I have only done bouldering in the UK. I climb at about V4 level. The staff were super friendly and really helped build my confidence to tackle the 30 meter problem, and I managed it! In total I climbed five routes, which I think is slightly more than normal, but I definitely couldn't do any more as my arms were too tired at this point. Free pickup and drop off from my hotel, 4km's from Ao Nang centre. Would definitely recommend it! Also, if you've never climbed before - no problem, the instructors can help you on the easy routes.

Very poor experience doing their two-day lead skills course. We have done guided climbing throughout America and Thailand. Literally every experience was very positive, except this one, which was by far the worst. We did not return for the second day, and instead had a much better experience with another guiding company in Railay. The "teaching" was condescending. After telling the instructor my partner climbs 5a, the instructor put us on a 6a top rope as a "warmup". When we asked how this was relevant to leading, he said we had to prove we can climb. Over the course of a day of "learning lead", we did 5 top rope climbs, most over my partner's comfort level, with only one being mock lead. Time management was poor. The instructor brought his niece along for our private course, and was more interested in having her climb than actually teaching us. At one point we practiced clipping on the ground for an hour with no feedback because the instructor was busy climbing with his niece. There were other times where we, the clients just stood around waiting for half an hour while waiting for the niece to get on a climb. What's worse, throughout our time of "learning to lead", he was teaching her how to belay, using us as the climbers! Lastly, their pricing was much higher than other outfits in the area. The going rate for a two day course in Railay is 6500THB per person. We were quoted almost double that.

We had Boo as our climbing guide for the 4 day workshop. Bo gave us a wonderful experience, pushed us out of our comfort zone and made us progress to the next grades. We truly enjoyed our experience with Real Rocks and their service is impeccable.

I completed the 3-day Level 1 & 2 Lead Climbing course with Jammy, building on my previous experience bouldering. He and the other guides from Real Rocks were noticeably more professional, using safer techniques with better gear than others observed climbing around us. I learned a huge amount, at a good pace, on very spectacular and fun routes: walls by the ocean, overhangs and caves. We climbed and abseiled at 4 different locations, several being places where few tourists could safely venture but are just a few minutes from Railay. Highly, highly recommended and look forward to returning to do more climbing. Their shop, transport, service are all fantastic too.

Our full day climbing with Real Rocks was great! The pickup, gear selection, and communication were all good. Our guide, Yod, made the day though. He was professional and safe but also just a super fun guy to be around. He set some great routes and kept us smiling and laughing all day. Even though we had a wide range of skills levels in our group everyone was able to get in plenty of nice routes that challenged each of us. Already looking forward to another climbing vacation in Railay, and will definitely choose Real Rocks.

Had an amazing day with Real Rocks! The full day climbing tour is totally worth it, because you separate more from the other climbing schools and go to some absolutely stunning spots. The day I climbed, I was the only one to sign up for full day, so I got a private guide. I also used their photography service and was very happy with the resulting pictures! What an incredible experience.

An unforgettable experience with Ren (sp?). He was very attentive and made sure we felt safe and most of all, had fun! He convinced us to try what I thought to a route that was far beyond my skill level and he talked each of us through us until we made it to the top! I was very impressed with the level of safety and desire to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and got to try several routes. It made us fall in love with outdoor climbing, which is completely different than indoor. It was also a drop dead gorgeous location to be climbing. I can't recommend Real Rocks enough and we will absolutely come back if we make it to Railay again!

Our experience with the climbing tour was nothing short of fantastic. Safety was a priority throughout. We went in low season, so our guide Sarut went above and beyond to refresh our memories on lead climbing techniques like topping out and anchor setting. Suitable for all levels I feel, as there were kids in our group and very manageable routes. Recommend the full day tour with caving as well, which has a nice hike up to and abseil down from the cave.

First time climber here and I'm loving it! Got a half day course at 1000baht (including equipment, gear and climbing shoes!) Which is so worth it! Really friendly staffs, teaching you patiently and giving you support! Thank you guys, I'm addicted rock climbing now! Definity recommend this place and will come back for a full day course challenge next year!

Great experience with the guys from real rocks! The guide and instructor Pola was a fantastic fellow. Nice explanations and knowledge of his job. Same time close and laid back. Highly recommended. The cave is amazing!!

We took a half day rock climbing introduction class and it was lovely. They picked us up from our hotel, and then we took a boat to the beach where we rock climbed. There were three climbing routes we could climb and we did then all. It was a really safe scramble up the mountain and went quite high for a beginner, but everyone was able to do it. This company was recommended to us by the locals and we were not disappointed.

Did the one day private tour. It was really great. The guide picked great routes right at and above my level. I got to lead the route or top rope it, my choice. The private tour does go along side the group tours. Not a big deal since there are a ton of routes to climb so we were never waiting for the groups to finish. Overall, great experience and would highly recommend this outfitter.

Great outdoor climbing experience ! My instructor Kevin found some great routes appropriate for my level and motivated me to challenge myself with a few harder ones. He was also always focussed on safety and guided me patiently throughout the day, which was reassuring for me as my only prior experience was some indoor bouldering. I climbed 12 routes in total, with some up to 25 and 30 meters high. I was extenuated at the end of the day :-) I’m looking forward to climbing again with them the next time I visit Thailand.

It was amazing! Good people and you get all the help you want, and if you are more experienced they let you do more challenging stuff. Perfect :)

You are provided with a good climbing gear and a water proof bag to carry it all with you. My friend and I absolutely loved this experience. Everything was timely and organised, great value for money including hotel pick up and drop off which made things so easy. With our instructor Fon, we felt very safe and supported - he guided us up the walls even telling us which routes to take. we had such a fantastic day, absolutely nothing could have made it better! Our full day private climbing experience was one of the highlights of our trip. The guides were knowledgeable and very patient with our newer climber. I was able to lead and top rope and the view from the top was incredible. Will book again when we come back to Thailand.

I climb indoor occasionally (intermediate) and wanted to finally give a try on rocks. Real Rocks Climbing School offers pick-up service and all the gears, so even I'd booked a course quite spontaneously, it's not a problem at all (paypal). I did a fullday tour for beginner firstly and it was fun, and then I wanted to climb more so I booked a halfday private course couple days later. My instructor: New. Highly recommend! He read my level and needs and choosed the right routes for me to have fun, to improve myself and to learn something new. New is also a funny and caring guy. I had a great morning of climbing with Real Rocks a few days ago. Por, my instructor, was brilliant - he was funny and really helpful when climbing, giving good advice on hand/foot/body placement. He chose some good climbs starting with a good warm-up one and then a couple of spicier ones as a challenge. I only wish I had done a full day of climbing as I enjoyed it so much! Thank you Por!

We had a brilliant half day of rock climbing with Real Rocks a few weeks ago. My partner and I felt completely safe and I managed to get in 5 runs. None of us were pros so Ched (our guide) chose runs that were challenging but doable for our inexperience. The location is indescribably gorgeous!!! Ched had a lightness about him and kept things fun.

Did a half day with them, had the best time!!! The staff was so supportive and I felt so safe the whole time, so I could enjoy the incredible views. Would do it again if I had more time in Ao Nang. They made the experience enjoyable for people of all skill levels!

The cliffs at Railay Beach were quite busy when we went (1st Jan). However, it's a lovely location with nice climbs suitable for all levels, from beginner (grade 4-5) to expert (grade 7+). I went with two children aged five and nine. The kids had both climbed before, but the instructors were great. I'd have no issue learning to climb here. We did a 4-hour session, which was more than enough.

Amazing experience with Real Rocks climbing school. We bought a package where they fetched us from our hotel to their shop, set us up with equipment and boat ride to Railay. The instructor was really good in setting the ropes for belay. After the first climb, he brought us to hike up Bat Cave, which was a whole other experience. We then did abseiling down from the peak of the cave, and then continue another climb. All in all, an amazing experience with them

We were a group of 5 people and we had the opportunity to climb various routes for the whole morning (also we were the first arriving there). I've been on exciting rock climbing trip in Krabi with Real Rocks. I had full 6 climbing days. Everything was well organized and on time. The company provides transportation from your hotel to the climbing site and all the equipment. The staff is polite, super friendly and helpful. Mr. Jay explained everything in details about the upcoming trip. My guide Mr. Ched is a very experienced instructor and a nice person. I received a lot of useful advice from him, e.g. the tips on how to clean a route. He also pays much attention to safety and teach how to do things the safest way possible. Mr. Ched helped me to find the most interesting routes, of different styles and with a beautiful view, so I never got bored. I hope to come back again to this rock climbing Mecca.

The climbing lesson takes part at Railey Beach. You get water for free and equipment as well. The instructors show and tell you everything you need to know to get up the wall. They seem to be really experienced and give you a lot of tips to reach the top. We felt really secured and enjoyed the trip a lot. The view is beautiful cause you spend your time there with a beautiful view on impressive rocks and the beach!

I loved my experience with Real Rocks! I initially completed the Level 2 certification with Sarut and loved the experience so much that I returned to Krabi and squeezed another full day in with him before leaving Thailand. The entire staff was amazing, but having Sarut as my instructor, then guide, made the experience even better. He was patient, helpful, and encouraging, but allowed me to learn without telling me exactly how to tackle the various routes; this was especially helpful since a lot of the other companies seemed to provide a bit too much direction, thus limiting the student's ability to learn. Sarut provided the perfect balance of direction and freedom during my climbs. He was always there when I became stuck on a route and not sure what to do after a few minutes, but didn't micromanage. I enjoyed this experience more than any other in Thailand and I feel that I made friends at Real Rocks . Unfortunately, I have to leave for another adventure, but I hope to come back to Railay to climb with this team again.

If you are looking for a fun day of rock climbing definitely book with Real Rock! We had an amazing half day of rock climbing. We are complete beginners, but our guide (I think it is spelled Yot?) was so helpful, encouraging, funny, and we always felt very safe with him. This was an unforgettable experience and we are very happy we booked with Real Rock :)

We did the family half day package which include climbing, trekking, caving and abseiling. It was superb. The whole family 2adults and 3 children had great fun. Our guides Rain and Chy was very knowledgable and professional. They were very patient with the kids and give lots of encouragement. Highly recommend this company and the activities. Do remember to bring lots of water and a towel for your Sweat as our T shirt were totally drenched in Sweat literally after the activities.

I spent one week in Ao Nang with the sole purpose of climbing at Railay Beach. I chose Real Rocks Climbing out of the many climbing operators in and around the Ao Nang/Railay Beach area. I did a half day sport climb on Monday morning just to brush off the ol' climbing cobwebs! I then completed a level two course over the next three full days. The climbing, the course, the guide, the food and just about everything was brilliant! I would like to thank the team at Real Rocks Climbing for the best week I have had in Thailand! I would also like to recognise and thank my guide, Sarut, for his sense of humour, patience, support and overall professionalism. During my time in Krabi, I went Rock Climbing at Railay beach with Real Rocks Climbing. I chose the full day climbing tour which was perfect! Everything ran so smoothly and efficiently. As a newbie climber I was quite nervous but all of the staff make you feel super comfortable and help you get up to the top even when you think you can't. My guide specifically, Yod (spelling?) was so awesome, patient, nice, and was always smiling! I am so lucky that I had him as my guide the whole day. The beach where we climb is also super beautiful. I loved it so much that I went back again for another half day which was also equally as awesome (this time I spent most of the day with New- he is so funny and nice and helpful). Climbing was one of my favorite things I did in all of Thailand and I can't want to go back one day to do it again.

Had an incredible experience doing the full-day rock climbing+caving tour. The guides are professional, funny, and understanding, yet they push you to not give up. The views from the cave are stunning!

I did a half day followed by a three day lead climbing course with Real Rocks back in September. I would highly recommend the courses to anyone with a bit of experience wanting to take the next step to lead climbing. I was instructed by Rain on my course who had a wealth of knowledge to share, and generally a great guy to spend three days climbing with!

I needed something for my tent, I thought it will be something expensive but when I was there I met "Tick" the owner which welcome me with a smile. He's really an awesome man that with few words he teach me how to do it with the material that i already had. He wasn't pushy and he helps me really a lot without forcing me to buy anything.
