This place exist just beneath the Rock Garden park Ranchi which is quite a beautiful place to visit in the evening, sitting in the stairs beside the dam and have a sip of tea, feeling the cool breeze that flows towards you and watching the sunset make you feel relax and cozy. As per the standard of Ranchi, It is one of good park just beside of Rock Garden. There is an entry ticket. You will get dedicated area for the parking. Kanke dam is a large water body. You can enjoy boating also. I could not use the boat because of high wind weather. Horticulture is also good. Infrastructure is just pathetic. Government doesn't have intention to maintain it. You will find brocken staircase and other things. Lots of scope of improvement by the Government of Jharkhand.

Greenery and after covid19 only one shop is open inside the park which sells biscuit, chips, etc. Outside I saw bhel puri wala and panipuri as well in the evening time.

The place is not at all maintained and all the places are abandoned and left to ruins. Due to lack of maintenance, its becoming very dirty. Not at all recommended for visit. Can avoid this place. There is no entry fee. And locals mainly use this place for morning workouts.

The place looks rustic, ill-maintained and just forgotten! It's a beautiful park, very well located and extremely well designed. People come in hoards still to this park for morning walks and yoga. It has a nice wide bank which stretches quite a bit across the dam and thus provides a very soothing atmosphere. Unfortunately, there is no effort from the administration to maintain this place as it's literally falling apart. The shop buildings inside the premises are on the verge of collapsing, WR's are shut and just nothing is maintained at all.
