Right smack in the middle of old town. With a 7-11 just 2 minutes right across the road. A stone's throw away from so many fantastic eateries, local shops and Sunday night market. Good size rooms. Pool. Spa. Restaurants. And an amazing gym a gym rat will approve on the 3rd floor. With the most polite and helpful hotel staffers.

I stayed at the Royal Phuket City Hotel with my missus and honestly, it turned out to be an amazing decision. The photos on the website don't do this hotel justice. The internal layout of the hotel is incredible- almost feels like you are at some 5star New York hotel with the slow, soothing jazz music near the reception area. The hotel staff are very polite, respectful and friendly. And the best part of the hotel is the fitness centre and pool. The gym has a variety of different machines that you could use to burn down all the calories that you have gained from eating some amazing Thai food and when you feel that you have sweated enough, you can take a dip in the swimming pool just next door to the fitness centre. And the icing on the cake is the brekkie. They spoil you with a variety of different options. If you took a serving of all the items offered on their breakfast menu, even four plates would be less. They have countless food options ranging from your bread and toast with butter and jam to stir fried veggies cooked in oyster sauce to breakfast cereal and fruit. The location of the hotel is amazing too. It is located in old town Phuket, with has traditional Portuguese-style architectural structures and has lots and lots of fancy cafes, restaurants, pubs and dessert 🍨 shops. There are a number of pubs and bars in the area too. This is the place in am staying at the next time I come back to Phuket for sure and my missus is of the same opinion too.

FILTHY windows so forget the views. Can't see through the thick haze. NO nice lounge chairs by pool or shade. Just a few plastic chairs. Very unwelcoming. There with friends in other rooms and we would not book again. The lobby, restaurant and covered parking garage are nice (if you have a rental car) but rarely used. It's the room you want nice and the furniture is really outdated. Halls too. Maybe years ago it was a five star but now a three star.

Room and facilities at the hotel was good. Liked the rooftop pool area with enough sun beds. Close to Old Town and bus terminal 1. Note: There are two more locations buses depart from. Pink songatew will take you to terminal 2. Also buses going from downtown market.

Very supportive team. We requested cancellation on medical ground and even though the booking was non-refundable, they processed refund. Will surely book them again on my next trip.

Great view of the city light at night on the rooftop cafe, Twist. Large gym room. Good size pool. Delicious food from the level 2 Chinese restaurant, Yan Long.

Business & Chinese Group Hotel We selected the Hotel to be close to the Vegetarian Food Festival. A perfect choice! Not only have we been close to the action but had a great place and a very comfortable bed to rest. Toilet and shower are great and lots of (hot) water is provided. Although the building is not new – it is well kept. It also offers the biggest (and climatized) Fitness with a lot of machines we have seen so far 😉

During October our family from Australia and South Africa stayed for 2 weeks. Words cannot express our gratitude. The staff were amazing. A special mention to a shining star : Juliet who spoke english and was always on hand to help. Nothing was too much for her and she is a great asset to this hotel. We will visit again and hope to see the Royal City family again. Thank you for a perfect experience. Highly recommended.

Large comfy room with good view, but dirty windows (inside), tired decor and bathroom needed revamp. Breakfast not aimed at westerners, but staff friendly and good service. Nice pool but no sunshades. Good view from sky bar but no atmosphere. Not value for us and had to leave early - no refund available

A really nice and very well-kept hotel! if you have a bit more money, we paid 2000 bath a night for the room at the beginning of February 23! Phuket was packed! Here you are in good hands. There is a great fitness center, a sauna, a spa, everything your heart desires is available. Recommended?

Old but very beautiful and neatly maintained. Has 19 floors on floors. Our room was on the 17th floor with a good view of the city and sea partially. As a pure vegetarian, food is a major problem as 95% of the breakfast served was non-veg, though the chefs were little accommodative to prepare a dish for us but definitely wouldn’t recommend if non-veg bothers you. It is located 30mins away from patong beach near old town Phuket, indeed a peaceful area. All in all, a good place to stay except the breakfast. Small things to nitpick- basic toothbrush kit had to be requested and they never could provide a ironbox.

The hotel is huge right in the corner. There are couple of restaurants behind the hotel and 9 mins walking from the hotel. It's close ro the night market or walking street. Naka night market is not far. Taxi will cost 200 baht. The breakfast is not so good. I would rather eat somewhere.

Room is clean, breakfast is good located on 19th floor of hotel with panorama view which you can enjoy city view and sea view. Location is good, can walk to old town and many great local restaurant.

Had an amazing stay at hotel. The rooms are big and clean and have all amenities including kettle, dental kit, shampoo, complimentary water, slippers etc. Room service is very fast, takes about 5 to 10 mins to provide anything asked for. The breakfast menu was great with a dozen dishes altogether. The lobby has live music every night, it has one of the most well equipped gyms i have ever seen in hotel. The swimming pool is clean and big. Reception staff was very helpful and gave early checkin. There is 154 bakery attached and it has some of the most amazing pastries and desserts at economical rates. Can’t recommend enough.

Staff is extremely rude and they charged me for complimentary water even though they are supposed to provide 2 for free everyday! They are so unprofessional and rude that they hang up the phone in your face and pretty much spit on the customer… unbelievable coming from such a high class hotel! Definitely recommend for anyone to save their money and go for one of the millions of better options around Phuket for an even better price!

Wow, lovely hotel! We stayed 3 nights with 2 children, booked 2 rooms. Pretty impressive when you first walk in. We stayed 15th floor. Awesome facilities, large gym, pool and spa service available. Roof top bar/restaurant, 19th floor sunset cocktails We didn't dine here, it was very quiet with no customers on rooftop. Cocktails only Chinese restaurant, breakfast buffet and bakery here too Nice, large, clean tidy rooms, interconnecting for our family Happy with this experience Would recommend this place to stay

Fantastic hotel definite 4star quality, very clean spacious rooms and great views on upper floors, roof top dining and bar with views of Phuket town and sea views. Very friendly reception team fast check in, amazing on site gym and swimming pool. Within walking distance to Old Town Phuket, 7 Eleven just outside hotel and next to 7 Eleven nice family ran Thai eatery with local prices. would definitely stay here again when in Phuket.

Love it. The gym is great. There is live piano music downstairs and a rooftop bar with an incredible view. There is also a spa where you can get a massage, a pool, and a steam room, usually with traditional Thai herbs.

Me and my partner stayed here in July, the location was great a 5/10 min walk to the Old town (Sunday) market and loads of fantastic restaurants. The staff where always warm and welcoming. The facilities where brilliant we used the gym (club Asia fitness) highly recommend only thing missing was an Olympic lift platform but as it’s all part of the stay price brilliant. We also used the Spa on site (Royal Wellness Spa) excellent 2 hour package very relaxing and reasonably priced. The pool was nice and clean although I imagine in high season you may struggle for a lounger. The breakfast options were good, although on one of the days it was a bit chaotic with majority of guests coming down at a similar time, so some people waited for tables to become free.

A 5 star hotel in the middle of Phuket City. The price was very good, rooms are spacious, everything works as it should, even though you can see that it's a bit older hotel by some wear on furniture. However, my stay here was pleasant and the reception team was SUPER quick and helpful with all Sanbox/Test-n-Go formalities. P.S. Booking directly through them will give a small extra discount ;)

Luxurious, 5 star almost in European standards. Staff is very friendly and compensated us well because the pool didn’t work. Breakfast buffe is a bit better than standard.

Situated in Phuket Town, it was easy to get around. Stayed for 4 nights during our trip to Phuket, hands down really great hotel. We got a bigger room since we stayed for awhile and we loved the vibes. Spacious bathroom as well. Staff were all very nice and attended to us when our safe malfunctioned, hairdryer stopped working. Pleasant disposition, we asked then questions about local tours and food. Facilities were well maintained in our room, and they had decent room service food - given they had a restaurant and bakery within the hotel as well. However, wifi does get cut off a lot and I had to sign in every 15 minutes. Perhaps it was just where the room was situated. We had 2 plug outlets that were not working, but there were other outlets around the room, it wasn't too inconvenient. Do note that this hotel does not provide toothbrush, toothpaste and shaver for men. Otherwise, all amenities needed were there. Housekeeping did a great job during our time there as well. Would definitely be back in future when we visit Phuket again. :-)

Mostly use only restaurant ,bakery is recommended with to taste and fresh.Location is one of best in town with a comfortable and plenty parking.

This hotel is amazing. Staff is really nice. Do everything for you if you ask them nicely. We stayed here for 4 nights before flying to another destination. But we enjoyed it so much that we actually came back to stay a couple more nights before flying again (we were making a full thailand trip and at this point stayed at 3 hotels so far. This one was definitely the best). Breakfast is really, has something for everyone. Only happened once that they ran out of something my husband really wanted. But even then there's plenty of options. Everything is really clean. Gym looks AMAZING. definitely recommend going there if you want to put some work in. Haven't seen anything they don't have. They even sell their old equipment. So if you need a place to stay in phuket city. This is the one!

My wife and I have tried most of the other hotels in Phuket, and this is the best. Clean rooms, fantastic breakfast, first class restaurants and a bakery. Not to mention the pool and the full gym. We would not stay anywhere else. Big thanks to the staff, we appreciate every one of them.

Easily one of the best deals in Phuket. Rooms were nice and low-priced. Breakfast was exceptional. The gym at the property was HUGE and extensive. Pool on the roof of the 3rd floor was super nice Location was outstanding and close to everything.... walking distance even if you don't mind walking for 10 minutes to city center.

It's an older building but the room is big and clean. Great view of sea and mountain from the room I am in. The breakfast is good. Mix choices of Western and Asian varieties. The food at dinner time is great with Chinese Options, but the service is slow even not busy. The front desk and the bellman are attentive and professional.

Amazing high class hotel staff so amazing especially pinky the resturant manager who really looked after us we ate there every night due to the amazing food, rooms are large and comfy pool is lovely extensive gym, we had a great stay perfect location well done to all the team 😊

I left my computer mouse at the hotel when I check out, after one whole day the hotel didn't contact me to inform anything until I called to them they said "oh yes we found a mouse in there." And the windows cannot block the sound outside is very noisy if nearby bar open loud music even though I am at 17th floor.

5 star hotel in a quiet neighborhood, far enough to be quiet, but near enough to Chinatown (10 mins walk). I got a corner room on the 12th floor, the views of the sea and islands were impeccable. While the hotel is old, it's facilities were well maintained and in working condition. I must say its beds and pillows are VERY comfortable and the aircon, just perfect! Hot water in the toilet was also present in the toilet, for both shower and tap, where the pressure is good. For gym go-ers, the hotel's gym is the biggest I have seen with all kinds of equipment! Royal Phuket city hotel also boasts a spa, that is very relaxing and has a resort-like service. The hotel is also located right next to Bus Terminal 2, which takes you to many places, including the airport (orange bus via domestic terminal). Royal phuket city hotel is a very accessible and great place to stay if you want comfort, proximity to tourist areas, and some peace from the city.

Value for money, paying 3 stars rate for a 4 stars hotel. Splendid decoration.

Really enjoyed my stay and was walkable to old phuket town. The breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious and had lots of variety. My room was clean and staff was very friendly

About the location, the hostel is good. It's near to everything that should be seen in Phuket Town. The entry was luxurous and there are some Guys which brings your lugguage to your room. However dont know if now it's a real 4 stars hostel. The bedroom dont have toothpaste and toothbrush. I was also surprised that they dont' provide hand soap (even if they are SHA + and are suppose to take covid into considération) You can't open the windows of the bedroom and the bedroom was smelling humidity and dust. I have to admit that it kinda stressed me out because i was suppose to stay the whole day (because of Thai Pass) in a bedroom which smells humidity and awaits for the PCR results... The humidity increase when you take shower... On the other room (because we booked two rooms), there was missing slippers. However the service is really excellent : they provided more shampoo and more shower gel to use as handsoap, they gave us toothbrush and toothpaste, they bring slippers. The Level of english dépends on which on you have. I got difficulty to got understood from the room service so it was kinda frustating. I had to wait for 1h to got thé food i order and call them several times. The breakfast is ok : there are several choices

This hotel is in Old phuket town, nicely maintained, quite near to the happening places in Pld Phuket. One drawback is it's far away from Pataong, Bangla Road & Airport. That said, you will have to travel for around an hour to reach above places. Otherwise it's a good hotel, you will still have access to wonderful cafes and pubs in old Phuket Town.

It's in a fantastic location as it's 140m from bus terminal and few 100 meters from old town Phuket...and yet, it's very peaceful and a clean hotel. The breakfast is very Thai leaning with adequate choices for Non-Veg folks.

This place is in the heart of city. If you hire a motorbike it will be very convenient for you, whether you go to Patong or Phuket town. There is also a very nice breakfast store across the hotel. There is 7 Eleven, ATM and massage shop within 10 min walk.

So this hotel is old and antique not modern but the level of cleanness and staffs' professionalism makes your stay relaxing and worry free. I actually loved the hotel more after the staffs' service and attitude. Location is a plus 🌟
