Swope Park Mountain Bike Trailhead
Park
ππ An absolutely outstanding trail system that would benefit enormously from a few maps being posted along the route, better trail blazes, and directional signs at forks & intersections. And please, pretty please, with sugar on it, carry out your drink containers, poop bags, tissues, and other trash. T...

Cave Spring Park
Park
π Definitely a fun place to visit and explore.
From a hikers perspective, very poor signage from one trail to another.
There were trails blazed in red and we only noticed that because a rock was red here, a tree was red there and we figured that must be the case.
There are white signs and arrows, but...

Waterfall Park
Park
ππ Beautiful park! Lots of shade. Waterfall in my pictures is a street view waterfall so watch for traffic. Huge pond for fishing and a small dock as well. Lots of ducks and geese. Walking/bike trails as well. Lots of greenery. Was pretty quiet for being busy so thatβs always nice in my opinion.

William M. Klein Park
Park
ππ A great place for kid friendly hiking. The paths are dirt with lots of signs and plants to look at. Also the remnants of the buildings that used to be there and info on their history, as well as as little cave and playground area. The trails are short and circle back around so you'll never get lost.

Santa Fe Park Picnic Pavilion
Park
ππ Nice Park, good for family gatherings and big lawn games. BBQ grills@ the two pavilions aren't Too trashed out yet. Unfortunately the transients in the area often gather/hang out, so I don't take the family there in the evening hours. Definitely don't use the Nature Trail anytime after 5 or Alone. T...

Blue Springs Lake Campground
Park
ππ We enjoyed this nice campground. We were in site 51 and it was more than adequate for our 44β class a with toad easily parked in front. We had full hookups including sewer and 50 amp.
We were here when temps were pushing 100+ every day.
It was about 30 minutes from U.M.K.C. Where our son teaches.
