A great place to walk and relax or watch organised football right in the middle of Caversham Heights and surrounded by private houses on all the sides. On one section of the field the construction is in progress for the local Primary School and the parking is restricted. One corner is occupied by the tennis club. There’s lack of benches surrounding the where one can sit and appreciate the playing field or just relax. The waste bin, as with many parks in Reading, is more than full of the dog waste with flies in all directions!

This is a larger area to play and walk the dog off lead with several football pitches, public orchard trees that are young at the moment, wooded area, playground and a private tennis club. It is busy with dog walkers most of the time and parking is free. After Christmas it is a tree recycling drop off location organised by the council. In the winter it does get slippery, but such is the nature of the soil in the area. It really would benefit from a nice public toilet.

These are lovely playing fields with sports facilities mainly concentrated at the north western end. Walk down to the southern eastern end and you will find some pretty woodland. This is a very large mainly urban facility, and has an outdoor gym installed, but never seen anyone using it, as the gym equipment is not well thought out.

Seems odd to review playing fields, but this location is great for people taking their dog for a walk. It is fairly enclosed, although the top end has no fencing along Hewett Avenue, and the car park is open to the entrance road (as you would expect). There are 4 or 5 football pitches, and also smaller training areas. The pitches are often used when other local pitches have been flooded, although the whole area can get quite muddy. The pavillion is a complete mess which needs some major work. There is an enclosed playing area with climbing frame/zip wire/swings etc. Also a small wooded area in which it is fairly safe to let your dog run through, as I believe all the houses have good fencing. Be it a good thing, or a bad thing, there are plans to build a school on the grounds. ***This is the reason for the pavilion being in such a bad state/closed, as the council have refused for the planned renovation to take place until the plans for the school are known. If it goes ahead, there will be huge disruption draining the vast majority of any funds promised, just to provide the existing facilities (on the reduced area, sadly cutting down the iconic Poplar trees). I can only hope that the community will still be able to roam across the playing fields, although we will certainly lose access to a large area including the main football pitch, and the proposed all-weather area (that is of no use to the football club due to specification) I have major concerns about safety, access, reduced parking and increased traffic.

Home of the mighty Caversham Trents. Pitches are good now and nice to have facilities in the clubhouse. Plus tea/coffee/food on match days is a bonus =)

What an impressive place! So much activity at the weekend....football games all through Sunday. Parking is very limited so drive past the entrance and take the next left where you can park on the street and access the field through a different entrance. Lovely little children's play area too. Great for dog walking, field games, picnics etc 😊

The new school building doesn't help the look and general environment. The new "street lights" will not make it feel like a local play park. It's still a good size space and open so hoping the best for it for the future.

Reading borough council should be ashamed of themselves by building a school there up setting All the neighborhood and cutting down protected tree s and in lock down no one working there had masks on now the noise pollution from the school is 77 decibel s or more before it was silent apart from people walking there dogs disgrao

😐 This is the second time I’ve been to this trampoline park. Unfortunately the day started on a bad note when we were told we couldn’t have our socks refunded after we found out our tickets included the socks in the prepaid price already. There were lots of young children around but I was told it was...
