The good the bad and the ugly The Good Wonderful lively atmosphere Awesome variety of mostly Asian foods.. It's ethnic tapas on steroids The turkey and beef carvery were pretty good too It's all you can eat..and eat all I could I definitely did. Great variety of deserts The bad It costs £20 a head and the drinks are expensive so go there when your hungry and prepared to eat. It's tight for space with tables close together The ugly There wasn't any. All the staff are pretty good looking too. Would highly recommend

Being part of a table of 8, we were originally told we would be waiting 15 minutes, which isn't a problem.. However ended up waiting over an hour to be seated.. The restaurant itself isn't bad, but the food wasn't as tasty as other oriental/world buffets I have encountered before. The price was advertised at £19.99 as you enter, but then to discover that they operate as American method, whereby you are charged tax on top of the price that is a nasty catch as it ends up being £20.56. The drink service was some what extremely slow and I had to ask how processes work here as no one gave us any explanation. The robots are some what a cheap gimmick as I want to eat my food in peace, not have some robot loitering over me. I'm not a fan of AI technology and not impressed being disturbed.. The desert was very bland in taste. Ice cream is more like whipped puffed cream and had no flavour, the cakes were alright, however lacked flavour and as for the haribo sweets.. Really not ideal with the volume of greedy kids adamant the whole bowl is theirs.. (They will regret it when they need a non existent NHS dentist).. Overall 3 outta 5 stars as it was merely ok. Had high expectations, but very little reward and hidden catches inside spoiled the 4 or 5 star experience.

My son and i have been going to Cosmo for years and over time and ironically since the onset of Covid and everything that went with that, Cosmo really came out on top of their game. Week after week and no matter the time of day they deliver probably the best all you can eat dining experience bar none. We have tried the competition and there is a lot of horrendous restaurants that simply cannot compete and still charge the same or more for a worse experience all round. This is not the place for name dropping but we will leave it there for now. My son and i know good from bad and also know that Cosmo is excellent, period! We have obviously become regulars and we have a good repartee with many of the really friendly staff within. Ingrid at front of house, in particular is extremely professional and excellent at her job and will always go the extra mile to make sure your dining experience is as good as it can be. A family friendly restaurant that caters for every taste and we often bump into people who have tried the rest and never the best, but all agree on one thing, Cosmo is the best out there bar none ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great place for family celebrations. We celebrated my mums birthday here✨ the staff were very accommodating where they helped us choose a quite table and they prepared the birthday candles 🎂 that was soo kind from them! The food was delicious and they had a halal options which was great 👍🏼 the verity was amazing where there was something for each member of our family to enjoy 🤍 there was eastern food, Asian dishes and many more. The desserts 🍨 area was very nice and they were delicious. The interior is also beautiful and the lighting and decor gives a nice calming vibe and the seats are very comfortable. Service is also very fast 💨. Overall it’s an amazing place here in Reading and I recommend making a reservation a head so you won’t have to wait!

It’s really great to have a proper buffet in the crisis of corona restrictions.. their system is really good and very clean and well sanitized. Had a wide variety in the starter side. Shredded duck was incredible. Sushi selections were also good. Almost all the chicken items were really juicy which liked. The teriyaki counter had less options but they were tasty and very quick serve. Loved the red velvet cheese slice. Love to see some more main course items. Great service and very friend stuffs.

A Bit of a queue to get in, so I would advise to book in advance. But the food variety was great and I really liked some of them. The cocktails were great too. Definitely recommend the shrimp!

A wide selection of food. With this price, can’t expect really high quality. Overall a happy meal for us.

I can be wary of buffets; cold food of questionable age, very salty and slimy. But Cosmo were a real pleasant surprise. Friendly staff, wide range of drinks and of course food to suit every palate. Chinese, Indian, British, American, Thai plus a wide range of dessert options too. Will definitely return.

The food was lovely, busy for a Sunday. Celebrated 18 years wedding anniversary disappointed 😞 that there were no special offers for this occasion, just birthdays. Service could be better, drinks order wasn't taken when placed at our table, then when we wanted to leave we had to find someone to give is the bill. When you have eaten so much and with 3 kids, the last thing I wanted to was to walk about to find staff. 😒 A lot of variety is perfect for those fussy eaters. All food is clearly labelled with an indication of allergens. l. Food is consistently topped up. Bottomless drinks are overpriced when you end up having 1 glass anyway. But overall food was tasty 😋 and prepared well. Thank you 😊

One of the best food restaurant I’ve been to the food was so good and freshly cooked, very Impressed with the Robots they are so cool. Also the staff are 100% faultless they are always happy to help and all were very present and respect full to the customers and importantly each other. I saw them all working as a team and all doing anything to keep the place tip top. Tables cleaned chairs cleaned 100% best working staff I’ve seen in years. In fact the last time I saw such good working team of staff was in Germany in 1990. If you have not been to cosmo please go.. I enjoyed it so much even the music was calming and at a low volume, I think they have put in a lot of effort to get a good balance for the customers to enjoy and feel comfortable.

I have tried many buffet restaurants. This one is just overrated. It's below average restaurant with low quality cheap food. Another Buffet in Bracknell is much better. So, COSMO restaurant, never again.

A great buffet and on the most part, fantastic food, reasonable pricing, and very professional service and staff. I highly recommend the Chinese food including the prawns, salt and pepper chicken, and amazing fried rice. The Chinese is what I had most of because it was certainly the best, but there were some other foods like the samosa and deep fried items. However I wasn't overly impressed with the cuisines such as Mexican and the Indian, and the pizza wasn't great either. I think that for a place like this, the focus was lost in some of the other cuisines and they specialise mostly in their Chinese food. Finally, the Pina Colada was decent and the desserts were good, maybe slightly on the sweeter side but some excellent cheesecake all the same. On the whole I would definitely recommend it for groups and those who like Chinese cuisine.

Randomly spotted this place when I stayed a couple of doors down at the Ibis. Had to try it. Delicious food, plenty of it! Well organised considering the place was packed out. Just don't make the mistake I did and overdo it on the puddings! I ate so much I could not get comfy even hours later! 🤦

First visit, so didn't know what to expect. Recommend going there when you are hungry. so many choices everything from Japan 🇯🇵 to Italy 🇮🇹 even a Sunday roast with Yorkshire pudding 🇬🇧. I like seafood so went for dishes with mussels and prawns, and sushi 🍣, just be careful of the green paste, looked like mint ice cream, but tasted like horseradish, made my eyes water 😭 apparently I was supposed to diluted it with soya sauce, something to remember for next time. just make sure you leave a little room for pudding 🍰.

The only eat all you can I can enjoy. Lots of food selections from different cuisine (Indian, Chinese, Japanese - forgive me if I forgot the other cuisines), but I do hope they add more cuisine to make it more diverse. They also discount for birthdays and nhs staff as well. Make sure to book your table if you want to eat here and inform them that it is your birthday on that day to ensure a discount 😅 all in all, great place! You can also enjoy variety of desserts. You also need to pay extra for the bottomless drinks if you want one. 🙂 food wise, it’s good! 👍🏻 I am not a massive eater, so forgive me if I have small portions of meals on my plate. 😂 other photos are from my friends.

Sunday Full costs £19 for each adult and this gives you access to all you can eat. I ate all kinds of food and they all tasted good. Drinks are paid for separately except for water.

It's such a lovely place. Just a walking distance from the oracle car park and shopping centre. Friendly staff and fast service. There are so many food choices. They have sushi 🍣 sections, Chinese food, Indian food, pizza, chips, etc. Selection of dessert 🍨 cakes, fruits, ice cream available. I will definitely go for more as I couldn't try half the food.

Good place!! The teppanyaki counter. They also have a soft race counter. But the thing that got my attention the most was the ice cream machine and chocolate fountain!!

Friendly welcome from staff and an efficient service throughout. Lots of choice, although some dishes much better than others. Satay chicken and the curries were decent, with plenty of dessert choices. Would visit here again.

Worst experience for me as I'm pure vegetarian. I saw advertisement that they have best vegetarian food options and even Indian food. But it's a myth. They just have few options. Like spring rolls, pizza, Mac n cheese, Hakka noodles, in Indian- Aloo curry, yellow Dal, pulav, Samosa. There was no difference in spring roll n samosa. Just difference in shape. To be honest just pizza was good. Rest all the dishes have no taste. Waste of money and time if you want to eat vegetarian food. I didn't had option for zero stars else would have given zero. Worst experience.

The food that I chose was good. There's a great choice of food from all over the world, for all tastes, or lack of tastes. It's not fine dining but the food tastes good and you're definitely not going to leave hungry. It was interesting following a robot towards our table. Friendly welcoming staff.

OMG, We LOVE this place so much that we travel from swindon just to eat here. The food is great, not like your typical buffet with overcooked mushy food. the food is constantly changed when getting low. very rare to see an empty dish. they really do keep on top of it. so much to choose from.... you must go there.

It's a wonderful place for lunch, dinner, with friends, family, or as a couple. The atmosphere is pleasant with calm lighting, and the decorations create a delightful ambiance. The cuisine offers a diverse range of delicious food, allowing you to experience flavors from around the world in one evening. The drink choices at the well-stocked bar and attentive waiters ensure a satisfying experience. The food is consistently fresh, promptly served by attentive waitstaff who check in to ensure everything is satisfactory. The clean toilets and the Chinese vibe with lanterns and dragons complete the inviting atmosphere. Overall, it seems like an excellent choice for various occasions.

Took the opportunity to try some Sushi pretty good. I actually enjoyed the wasabi not as hot as the chef said tho😄. A great selection of dishes to try, my next run I will be in the Indian and Mexican section didn't get to try this. Wish they had more Japanese food and Snacks. Any chance you can have Ramen that menu someday?

Meat was really nice and seafood as well, but fish wasn't fresh enough 😕 and variety of japanese food was quite a little. At the same time there were quite a few desserts and cakes I liked. All tables are too close to each other.

Yes , we were all excited to go to this place, we had a family group of 15 people. For which we did booking online n reserved a slot in the first batch in afternoon at 12 pm. Since it was my first time I really love the place , the food n the atmosphere there was amazing. The opening time is at 12 noon . You can book any time after that. Food was lovely & very very tasty.. I tasted all the dishes. & They were amazing . I satisfied myself with all the dishes I was longing to eat. There were chip's , there were different type of noodles , Rice , sushi, sea food , (pork ,chicken, beef dishes) there wer vegetarian dishes, there was a section of India dishes, there wer steamed buns, fruits ,dessert , ice- creams, etc all was too good 👍. There was a separate menu for drinks which needed to be paid separately as per your choice .. We adults had Pinacolada for ladies , men choose beer . Kids had drinks. There r toilet inside the place . It's a perfect for family outing , you can eat alot .. as much as you want but only with in one & half hour. . All the staff there are very kind & friendly . I really look forward to visit it again .

I booked a table for my son's 13th birthday. I requested the robot sing. Happy birthday to my son. I want to thank the amazing staff for making this birthday a very special one. The staff were so kind and lovely to our group. I love Cosmo. The food is great too!!

For two days in a row I was turned away as walk-in. The excuse is that they are fully booked. Well is that really? I am a single person so I would be in and out within an hour. And look at the picture how many empty table there are? It is about less than half full. Avoid this restaurant at all cost. If they don't want my business for two days in a row (I travelled from London nonetheless!) I think I can live with never going into one Cosmo ever again in my life. Also I hope my experience and the picture of empty tables can maybe help you deciding whether you want to visit this inflexible business without a proper manager who can be honest and has a sense of business or not.

We like to dine here at least once a month. We love the diversity in food and we enjoy not worrying whatever we place in our plates. Food is great and it's nice to be able to try all things and pick your favorite. Deserts are also great, always leaving with a full stomach.

  • 5/5 Thomas H. 9 months ago on Google
Came here as a group of 18, we already booked, so had table available for us. The robot took us to our table but got stuck halfway, nice gimmick. We paid for our drinks at the bar individually, and could go up to get food as many times as we liked in our time slot. The food was varied and tasted good. The whole group (some of who did not know what Cosmo was) liked the restaurant and the food. With blue light discount too it was a good deal I believe. It was busy when we went but didn’t really have an impact on the experience. Very nice decor inside. Would definitely come back again. Make sure you’re hungry!!!

Cosmo is an excellent place for those who love to explore world dishes, with a wide variety of flavors and aromas that will leave you feeling delighted. The "bottomless glass" concept is a unique feature that allows for infinite pouring of drinks, ensuring that you're able to indulge in your favorite drink without worrying about running out. Moreover, the use of robots for service also contributes to the futuristic and unique atmosphere. Overall, Cosmo restaurant is an excellent place for a dining experience that is both satisfying and memorable.

I gather this place has been around for a while, but we just discovered it. They have a nice variety of cuisines to choose from. None of the dishes I tried were particularly outstanding, but they were all tasty and filling. It's definitely worth the trip, and our family will add it to our rotation.

When I heard about this place, I was quite skeptical, especially after some bad memories with some very low quality buffets in the past. But seeing pictures and reading reviews I thought I’ll give it a go and how happy I am that I did! The place is much bigger than I expected and they serve foods from different parts of the world. It’s the first buffet where I really couldn’t try all their dishes, and I am known for being able to eat a lot! The food was actually not the questionable quality you usually get in buffets and most of the times too sweet, but actually very tasty, with some dishes that really stood up for me for the right reasons (the lamb rogan rosh, the green Thai curry, the noodles). I was also pleasantly surprised by the deserts, a good variety of very tasty cakes, not overly sweet, a soft ice cream machine and a chocolate fountain. The only dishes which I think need some work are the Mexican ones. Other than that, it was an overall nice experience (kudos to the waiters as well, very polite and helpful) I’m looking forward to go there again!
