A very welcome open space and gardens tucked away in one corner of Reading town centre. The place is inviting and well looked after. Unfortunately there’s no public car park at the site but a short distance away.

A quiet and beautiful park. Sunshine plus blue sky. It was a very enjoyable moment for me when I got there. The park gives access to the Reading Abbey Ruins. See how it feels when you immerse yourself in a place of long history. Highly recommended.

Decent victorian public park, there's water features, benches, lots of trees etc. There's no children's play area but it's a nice place to relax, eat your lunch, have a walk. You can visit the remains of Reading Abbey also, it's in a very central location so it's a nice place to have some quiet time

The Forbury Gardens is home to the famous Maiwand Lion statue. Although there are no formal children’s facilities, the gardens are wonderful for play and roam around. You can feel calm and relax.

Fabulous park in middle of reading town, seems one of the “londoner parks”. Keeping always clean and tidy. It is nice in all season:

Forbury gardens is a small but very pleasant park in the centre of Reading. There are plenty benches - very useful if you opt for a takeaway lunch and a but of people watching! There is small kiosk that sells coffees and cakes.

Found near the centre of Reading, there's this square park. There's a little kiosk selling snacks and drinks.. A few benches. Fountains Beautiful statues. This park can also be the entrance to walk through to the Abbey ruins. It's not a massive park by any means, you can walk around it in 10 minutes. The park also has alot of history with educational plaques around. Nice to visit. The park can attract all sorts of people sitting on benches in the corners, so proceed with caution.

A beautiful park to relax in. The park cafe offers a wide range of hot and old drinks and food. And ice cream. A great place to relax for a while and recharge your batteries.

Old school Victorian municipal Park. No children's play equipment but there is a bandstand and of course the splendid Maiwand lion. You may find well kept flower beds. There are benches in and out of the shade plus plenty of grass to sit on. Great place to sit and contemplate life away from the bustle of the centre of Reading.

Christmas Winter Lights Trail. Experience with small children under 3 was lovely. The 3yr and 1.5 Yr loved it as did 9m old. For parents it was enjoyable although we had higher expectations. Staff were all excellent and arrangements very good. Recommended for families with kids.

Great area for afternoon stroll close to train Station and town centre. It's an oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the town centre. Little one's can play, feed pigeons and chase squirrels.

This is a great event to visit. Armed forces day its free. The wonderful Diane James takes you. Through the war songs don't forget your union Jack great fun. Then she returns for the 60 and more up to date songs something for everyone. It really should get a lot more publicity. On every June we looking forward to next year already. Thank you Diane xx

Lovely park near the city center. There's a water fountain, band stand, and lion sculptures dedicated to Berkshire Regiment. At the foot of the band stand, there is a plague commerate Reading people who gave their lives for D-Day.

Finding nice spot to rest, impressive gardens, breath of fresh air, only stink of weed! Could someone provide a smokimg area for them, next door in Reading Prison, it would help use all enjoy the space more than hirendious stench.

A nice place to come and relax for an hour or two on a nice day. On a clear day it can get very busy as it's roughly a 5-10 minute walk from the busy Oracle shopping centre in Reading and the main high street, Broad Street. The gardens also house a lovely fountain and a small cafe. Just round the corner from the gardens are the ruins of Reading Abbey which are worth a visit if you fancy a piece of Reading's history.

A very nice park between the Reading Museum and the Abbey Ruins. The site and the Abbey Ruins next door have cultural significance to the area dating back to the 12th century. To get the most out of your visit, I would recommend stopping by the Reading Museum first to read about how the park and ruins fit into Reading's history. The park is a delightful urban oasis located right next to the Abbey Ruins and just about a 5-minute walk to the Reading Museum. It really is a charming green space located in the heart of Reading, offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. The park boasts beautifully landscaped gardens, a picturesque pond, and historical features like the famous Maiwand Lion statue. When we visited, it had well-maintained paths that made it a pleasant spot for leisurely strolls. Its historical resonance adds a unique touch to the park's ambiance. If you are interested in a nice place to go to relax or explore, this could be it. The pathways are wide and the grounds are well-kept and pretty. For more specific details and visitor reviews, you can check out local travel websites or the official Reading Borough Council website.

Forbury gardens is a pleasant place for a short walk or a relaxing lunchtime picnic. There is a small cafe. Also in the grounds is a bandstand and the fabulous mainland lion memorial. Gardens also feature a fountain. The high ground was used as a gun emplacement in the civil war.

Watched the Queen's funeral at Forbury Gardens. Although a sad day the staff and PCSO's there were fantastic;) Thought it was going to be extremely busy but it wasn't. Beautiful place for all occasions.

😐 This is the second time I’ve been to this trampoline park. Unfortunately the day started on a bad note when we were told we couldn’t have our socks refunded after we found out our tickets included the socks in the prepaid price already. There were lots of young children around but I was told it was...
