Excellent deli cafe close to picturesque Lac de Madine in the Lorraine Regional Natural Park. Delightful friendly staff, excellent coffee and an interesting short menu with the focus on local and organic ingredients. The shop part has a particularly well stocked deli counter with lots of local artisanal produce - fruit and veg, cheeses, sausages and cured meats, pastries, drinks and much more. The decor (marrying the traditional features of the building with modern touches) is very stylish. It's the kind of place that you find in the posh bits of the Cotswolds. After coffee and lunch we stocked up with goodies to take back to our campsite - the goats cheese with pepper was particularly delicious. The proprietor told us that she'd had to relaunch the business after a period of ill health. What a fantastic job she's done and we wish her every success.
