First of all, I'm not the owner, nor connected to the business. Just wanted to clear away any confusion in case anyone was wondering about the connection between my name and the restaurant's name. Okay, so I came with my family for dinner while traveling to Revelstoke last year. Had zero expectations despite pretty good reviews. I'd say we were all pretty impressed with the food. It's a husband and wife team from Shaanxi if I remember correctly. The husband looks after the kitchen and cooking and the wife helps with the cooking when not attending to the customers. The menu is small, but everything is made fresh. We pretty much tried everything from the menu. This is northern Chinese food. Everything was really good, from the Chinese salads, noodles, wonton soup, to the DUMPLINGS! They hit all my taste buds, and this is coming from a person from Northern China. The food is just how I used to have it when I was at my grandma's when I was a kid! Everything is healthy and fresh, you definitely don't have the grease-pumping-through-your-vein type of heavy feeling when eating westernize Chinese food. I don't know if they have more help in the kitchen now, but don't feel mad if the wife have to turn away a large group if they already have quite a few customers. They are really committed to quality food and service and serving within a reasonable amount of time. I know because I talked to the wife after seeing this happen once while eating. Try to come back another time when its not as busy!

We tried the wonton soup, the chow mein and the dumplings for a total of $50 and unfortunately we were highly disappointed. It might of been msg free and home made but it wasn't good. Chow mean was all noodles, barely any veggies or meat.

Definitely very authentic Chinese food. You can taste the owner has put heart into food making. Soooo delicious! The pot stickers are soooo goood! Also the wontons.

Tiny&cute restaurant. We had the dumplings (beef&carrot) and they were really delicious. We can also recommend the vegetable noodles and beef shank. Friendly waitress. For Swiss people: es isch sehr fein :)

Yum. Did not expect having authentic Chinese food in Revelstoke. Small menu with great food. Delicious dumplings. Friendly service. No frills, just a fantastic meal.

Very tasty Chinese cuisine! Traditional versus western dishes. We had a yummy plate of their chicken carrot dumplings with spicy sauce and the chicken chow mien. I'm looking forward to returning to try more of their homemade dishes! 😋

Tasty large portions and good loose leaf tea. Pork and cabbage dumplings were really nice, as well as noodle soup. The service was very friendly, and they have asked us about our preference with spicy food (we like not spicy). Also very fast, food arrived in 10 minutes. Tables are large and chairs are comfortable, the largest table is for 6 people. You can add more hot water to your tea. They have also brought small plates and bowls so we could share.

This is the best won ton soup I've ever had. The chicken broth has sesame sauce drizzled on top which is delicious. The wontons are made with fresh ginger so it's got that kick. Such good flavours.

I did not expect to find some of my best "Chinese food" experience in BC in the town of Revelstoke. We were passing by and needed dinner. Stopped in and met the owners. This place definitely is home cooked style. The beef dumplings, wonton soup and crushed cucumber were my personal favourites, but I've only been here once. Highly highly recommend! Great work Kevin and wife!

This is one of Revelstokes best restaurants hands down! Lucy is a great hostess/waitress and Kevin is a master in the kitchen. You must must get the dumplings (fried or course) with the hot sauce!

i came in for dinner - they had received a 12 dish order and quite slow that night. i didn't mind 'cause they gave a heads up and were apologetic about it. plus, it looked like i was going to enjoy some home cooked food. and that's always heartwarming when the wonton soup finally came, i devoured it. when the fuzhu finally came, i devoured it too great hospitality, great food here

Pork/cabbage dumplings and wonton soup were great. Yes, maybe a little pricey for what it is but it’s clean homemade food made by Chinese locals who are trying to run a small business ffs. Service was nice and food came out fast. These people complaining about the broth have been ruined by westernized Chinese food that is loaded with salt and/or msg. I appreciated the natural flavors and it not being too salty. If you like spicy make sure to try their chili oil, it goes well with these dishes and adds nice flavor.

The taste of the noodle dishes we had was excellent but I would have liked to see more veggies in there. We ordered chicken chow mein with vermicelli noodles and chicken chow mein with flour noodles

Tastes like home, very authentic northern style Chinese cuisine. I highly recommend to try their pan fried dumplings. They made dumplings from scratch so they are much better than the frozen ones you can get from grocery stores. The dumplings skin is crispy and chewy, the fillings are juicy and fresh. Great place for warm and hearty food.

I tend to find the food a little blend. The dumplings are homemade and fresh. I think this place is run by a wife and a husband. I see the wife taking orders and then go back and help the husband with the food orders. It's cute but the service was a bit slow.

Amazing food and friendly service. The first night, I had the pork and cabbage dumplings pan fried and the soup with chicken and rice noodles. So satisfying and delicious. So good I went back the next day again for dinner. I had the pork and carrot dumplings pan fried and the chow mein with flour noodles and chicken. Incredibly flavorful and filling. Highly recommend!

I would give this spot 0 and I didn’t even get to eat. We walked in at 5:45 for a table of two, basically completely empty restaurant with only one table. We were told we could sit but it would be 45 minutes from when we order because of take out, without even getting the menus on the table???????? You have a restaurant that services in house guests. I asked are you telling me you serve door dash over dining guests? The answer was yes!! What a joke, it’s time to bust out the restaurant common sense handbook. Don’t waste your time because the restaurant looks like a diner and I can’t imagine what it would be like if you actually had in house guests! 4 hour wait???

Stopped by this small Chinese restaurant on our way to Banff. I saw an overall good rating but some comments saying their food was not authentic Chinese food. It turns out they have 'real' Chinese food that is not usually seen in Canada. It was a pleasant surprise for us. Three of us, who are authentic Chinese, did enjoy our authentic Chinese food😃. The restaurant is quite clean as well as the washroom. The waitress/owner was very nice. It's not easy to cook authentic Chinese meals in a small Canadian town. My appreciations to the owner of this restaurant.

Truly authentic homemade northern Chinese food. Don’t come here if you expect westernized Chinese food. There are no extra grease, MSG, nor added sweeteners. One thing worth understanding is that this place is authentic down to the proportion of meat vs starch. Traditionally Chinese food see meat as an accompaniment, not the main course, so in a given dish, it can be 80% starch, 15% veggie and 5% meat - the proportion of starch:veg:meat that I found in the noodle soup dish and chow mein here. Please bear this in mind when visiting and you’ll enjoy a most authentic meal here.
