We were walking around Soho looking for a quieter bar on Saturday evening (6.30pm) and came across The Den. There was good music, though not too loud and the venue has tables available. Sadly we didn't get to experience the pianist. I really enjoyed the theme of The Den and the fact that their cocktail menu was on a record is unique. The cocktails were nice and I enjoyed their own cocktails - the mango foam was lovely. The cocktails were themed after famous songs which matched with the venue. The only downside to this place was the 15% discretionary service charge. I appreciate it's common in London but I had to go to the bar to request my second drink so I don't feel like the 15% is justified.

Rare for me to one star a place but sorry guys… As it was the first place we hit in Soho in the weekend, I was still sober and not happy about the drinks. Decor is nice. Didn’t mind their choice of bathroom soap. But not only was my sazerac overpriced, it was the worse I’ve ever had. Tasted like watered down cognac, didn’t taste any Peychaud’s bitters nor did I smell the absinthe. Partner’s drink (Up in smoke) wasn’t great either, can smell some pear but meant to have Angostura bitters… Smoky did not exist. As for staff they were too busy staring out the doors that it took them at least 5-10minute to remember to check on customers for us to give them an order. We resorted to getting better drinks from somewhere else.

What can I say, its a great little cocktail bar in Soho. I'd come back again if I had the time off. They have a wide range of alocohol on display & for everyone's palette. The place does get busy so go there early to grab a seat/table.

Friendly staff, live piano player, not too busy to find a seat (and the seat was lux -wingback chairs, table, and view of a couple on what looked like a 3rd date). Super fun bar-mats to boot. I dropped my scarf and it was held and then retrieved when I noticed!!! Extra bonus for not losing a beloved scarf! Only minus would be consistency of drink recipe/execution...we ordered the same cocktail twice and received a different drink for the second. It was fine, but not to order. All in all a nice spot to stop for a sit and a sip.

I love this place! A cute bar located in the heart of Soho. If you are into Guns N Roses, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, the list does go on and on, then you need to visit The Den. Tributes are made to music rock legends. The bar itself is impressively designed to perfection with attention given to every detail. It is cosy, with great ambience, and has a great selection of drinks that are creative and tailored to everyones taste pallet. The manager and his staff are very friendly and welcoming. Warning they are tight on security. I was asked for my ID before entering the venue. The customer service is fantastic, I can't remember the gentleman name but, he gave that personal touch almost felt as if you were part of the family. If like me you love and respect vinyls, then you will like the drinks menu. The vinyl has a QR code where you can download the songs that are played on Spotify. The pianist starts at 8 pm on the weekend, and song requests can also be made. They know how to get the party started. My friends thought it was on the pricey side, but there is a great vibe to this place, and I definitely recommend a visit.

We absolutely LOVED hanging out here. Jas is an excellent bartender!! Ask for an extra dirty martini and he will hook it up.

I recently visited with a couple of friends and ended up overpaying. They charged an 18% service fee without even asking. I ordered a cocktail for £16.50, but their menu said it was £14. Not to mention, it was bad. My friends' cocktails tasted like water, even though we all ordered different ones. One friend asked to change theirs, but the replacement was just as bad. It seemed like they didn't know how to make a decent cocktail. I'll give one star for the music, maybe. It was somewhat decent. I wouldn't recommend it, but if you're struggling to find a table, you could give it a shot bc it's pretty empty.

Delicious cocktail from Jas, highly recommend the crocodile rock. Totally different to any other cocktail I've had. Really great service too.

Jas is one of the best cocktail masters I have encountered with fabulous service alongside the talent. Purple Haze is an excellent cocktail

Check you bill before paying! Had to ask twice to be served. Had to ask twice for water also. Wine was expensive but average and delivered warm. Cocktails average. We were presented with the card machine to pay with the cost already in which seemed too high. I paid it but when I asked to see the bill the bar man was cagey and told me the receipt was the bill. When I finally got to see the bill I saw he had charged us a 15% service charge without asking. Not the amount we would have chosen to tip had we been given a choice. Very cheeky after not a very good service experience. Check your bill before you pay!

Sneaky is one word I’d describe them! We asked for water the first time and the waitress was polite to give us tap water. The next time we ordered she automatically upgraded us to “spring water” without asking us and charged us. It’s not that we cannot pay but the mere fact that she did it without us asking was shocking. And there were a couple of additional charges on the bill that made no sense. The chairs were not that comfy at all. There are better places for better prices elsewhere in London! Avoid!

Really cool cocktail bar in Soho. Piano player on a Saturday night taking requests too!

Well prepare cocktails when you order at the bar. I love the bartenders that put on a little show while putting together their recipes. Seating is limited, and the interiors are dark with warm lighting, so you can have intimate conversations amidst the bagging music.

Overpriced and underwhelming. Went there for a quick drink one evening. Ordered 2 Dissarano and cokes. When the bill came, I was charged around £30, and the bill stated the drinks were both doubles plus a service charge. The drinks were definitely singles! £30 for 2 singles is an absolute joke. Atmosphere wasn't anything special either. Wouldn't recommend. Far nicer places to go in London.

Awful place, really turned down by the rudeness and unfriendliness of the waitress. A shame because my friends and I really liked the live piano music and atmosphere. What could have been a great night turned out to be a disappointing waste of time and money.

Nice bar, good decor and music but cocktails are not on the level of the price they are charging. Quite disappointing really and we left after one drink.

The food was OK. The cocktails were not very refined and tasted mostly just of the alcohol. The place was understaffed. The light was too dim. The service was friendly though.

Nice Environment! Talented pianist! Extremely expensive. £68 for 3 G&Ts and 1 old fashioned

Their own cocktails are decent (smoke on the water) their classic cocktails are atrocious, literally water. Music is fun tho.

Bar man aggressive and arrogant. Charged me £8.50 for 25 ml of baileys even though baileys is universally served in a 50ml. Told him this, he scoffed at me and said you pay for a single you get a single and said he didn't believe me and made me out as an idiot. Not a very nice man, not a very nice experience. For a proper measure of baileys you'd end up spending £17 ...robbery.
