I want to preface this by saying I’m not the type of person to ever write a negative review!! I had a laser appointment today at 12:15 with Fariba. I texted her in the morning to let her know that I’m coming on my lunch break and I asked her to please see me on time. She responded to my text with an emoji. Unfortunately, I was late due to traffic and I texted her apologizing and saying that I’ll be there right away. I got here at 12:20 and she was still in the room with someone else. I decided not to say anything. She came out of the room and went to cash the lady out, she spent a good amount of time just chatting with her and also picked up someone else’s phone call. At this point it was 12:30!! I said to Fariba in a very respectful way, dear Fariba I just wanted to remind you that I’m on my lunch break to which she defensively answered “you came late so I took someone else, even when you go to dollarama you have to wait now go to the room”. Does anyone make an appointment to go to dollarama??? I sure don’t. No apology, nothing. I will definitely not be returning. Take your business somewhere where people care about your money and time!!

I went here with my girlfriend and due to a disagreement over scheduling Fariba was very rude and unfriendly. I am sure that she treats her long term customers and friends well, but new customers should be aware that if you criticize her service she will flip the script and be aggressive. Even in an instant where one believes the customer is not right, there is no reason to be sarcastic and rude. Overall, due to her attitude we will not be returning and I advise customers to go somewhere were you are treated well in all circumstances and valued as a customer.

My niece recommended Fariba laser to me. She was very happy with her result and even the people that she recommended it to, were happy with the service they received as well. I wanted to get some parts of my facial hair lasered because I like my beard a certain way when shaving and it takes a lot of my time. I have gone to them for two sessions so far but I already started noticing a change after the first session. I want to start off by saying I never write bad reviews!! I used to go to Fariba's and at first the experience was ok- I wouldn't say 5 stars though. The technicians would often comment on my body and my decision to get laser on certain body parts and not others. This didn't make me feel very good. I also found it strange that they only allow you to pay through e-transfer or cash. I decided to stop going one day after I had the last evening appointment in the winter (it was already dark outside, and the area where the salon isn't super nice, there is an adult video store next door), and I was told that they "were having a problem with their bank and I had to pay in cash" instead of the e-transfer I usually did. I was not informed of this prior to going in to my appointment, only after my treatment, and I owed $300. I don't usually carry that much cash with me! Especially not in a sketchy area. When I told the lady I didn't have that much cash, she asked me to go to the ATM at the convenience store across the street to get some out. First of all I didn't wanna do this because taking out money from ATM costs more. Notably I didn't feel comfortable with taking out this much cash on my own, with it being dark and this not being a good area. There were men outside the convenience store with the ATM who made me feel uncomfortable. One asked me for a b job and I felt so unsafe. Suffice it to say the entire experience was so sketchy and I never went back to Fariba's. The least she could have done was tell me that I would be needing cash that day ahead of time.
