A great place to have japanese/asian food in Farwaniyah in Kuwait. Located in Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Al Thuraya City. The restaurant is nicely designed reflecting the Japanese ambiance. The staff are really nice and professional especially the Manager, Mr Bassam. The food is really good and tasty. On every Saturday, there is an open buffet which contains everything on the menu, varieties of sushi, maki, salads and a live teppanyaki show. Worth trying! Recommended!

Crownze Plaza/Thuraya has 2 Sakura locations. One in the main hub (new building) and the original restaurant in the old building. We tried their Sushi Frenzy (all you can eat) buffet on Tuesday from 6pm. Food was great though the choice is limited compared to the Sushi buffet they have in the other location on Saturday afternoon. If you love Japanese food, then Sakura is the top choice fir great food in Kuwait. Highly recommended.

No waiters in this place selfservice only or is that how they treat people! Food was delicious but this time there was something not fresh at all ( the sushi rice ) all in all its a good restaurant for sushi , expensive and no varieties . But i enjoy what they already have

Amaazing food! The whole experience from place down to food and start to finish is great. Waitress is always so friendly and kind especially mention to Mr.Macroy, Ms. Patricia, Mr. Vivek & Mr. Sumit . The food can’t get better and the prices are fair. Always a great spot to get great Asian cuisine food.

I highly commend this restaurant, the staff is nice especially the filipino guy mac roy, the food is exceptional, you have lots of choices from different options of cuisines that they have, the food from sakura itself is exquisite, from the sushi rolls to its grilled beef slices and the tempura. the service is one of a kind, whenever i need something like a baby chair to cutleries mac roy is very helpful. i will try and will come again here.

We had a blast experience dining with sukara. Best experience so far with extra service provided with accommodating staff. Higly apprciation especially to Mac roy, Patricia, Karma and Sumit for being so kind and very responsive to our request.

This is our first time and food and ambiance was nice. Our waiter Mac is very accomodating!

It’s too much people, but the staffs is very actives amazing buffet, specially to the waiter the one assist me when I’m taking tempura Mac thank you for service. I will come again next week☺️

The Service was horrible. The waiter was not kind and took our order wrong. They fired the nice guy for some stupid reason like “ he was late “. The food tasted like it was sitting in the freezer for years. The rice was frozen and they didn’t apologize for the mistake. The place was nice but not many people were there it was only me and my family. Horrible experience I do not recommend it.

underwhelming & over priced in my opinion / The staff could use some professional development course - The Japanese atmosphere is just not there 🤷🏻 , don’t get me wrong food is OK but it’s not about just the food it’s about the experience.

Sakura team at Crowne plaza were so great! We really enjoyed the birthday celebration of our friend not only because of the amazing taste of food but because of the great service done by Sumit and Patricia! Hats off to their supervisor vivek, hospitality service of chef martin and great performance of the 2 teppan chefs , argie and his colleague! Amazing! Recommendable...!
