La Pataterie Limoges

Appears to be a chain restaurant. More like French comfort food. Meal was ok. We had the Quebecoise and the Patata Burger Gourmet. The service was good, but they really wanted to sell us an alcoholic drink. Had to say no several times. Would compare to an Applebee's in the USA. Pretty good value, but simple filling dishes.

Great service, Jonathan was very patient, helpful and entertaining. We did not have to wait long despite us being a group of 16 and the restaurant being rather busy. Will have to come back to explore more of the menu, which provides a large choice to meet various appetites.

Food was spot on, service was slow, especially when waiting for the bill as there were only about 4 tables in use. Atmosphere was fine but I couldn't give it more than a 3 due to how quiet it was!

We were staying at the Ibis hotel a few yards away, where the evening food was crushingly disappointing - sort of low level school canteen standard. Desperate for a decent meal, we tried this quite quirky, laid back and popular place and were very pleasantly surprised. The service was very good. The food, though not necessarily innovative, was nonetheless plentiful, interesting, well cooked and well presented. It was also very good value. A very satisfying experience and one to be recommended. Give it a try.
