Finding a good vineyard in the Hamptons area can be difficult. There is a lot of options, and sadly most of them are not worth the trip or the bill. Some say that US- East wine is just not there. BUT after extensive research we ended up choosing Paumanok Vineyard a family owned enterprise, few decades old with good wine and excellent service. We booked a private tour with the owner, who took time from his Saturday afternoon to explain us the technicalities and nuances of wine making (under the hot summer sun at two in the afternoon). Charlie a Lebanese born-American shared his obvious passion for wine making. He told us about soil, rain, water, and everything from the land to the bottle. Of the many many wine tours and tastings that we have had, this one deserves a gold medal. After we went to our private terrace overlooking the gorgeous vineyard. The wine flight goes from White to Red passing through a wonderful Rose and a fruity Riesling. Very aromatic and tasteful gracefully paired with local cheese and charcuterie. The cherry on top locally sourced LI oysters. Beautiful afternoon, perfect city gateway. Follow @destination_food33 for more reviews

The wait staff was absolutely amazing. The wines are spot on. The waitress knew exactly how the wines should taste and she was right on the money. The cheeses were delicious and paired well with the wines. The views are wonderful. Went there for mother's day and we would up spending 3 hours there just taking in the experience. Highly recommend this place.

Really enjoyed our stop at Paumanok Vineyards! The setting in the vineyards is beautiful and the tasting room has a window into the workroom for the winery. Our host was amazing and who knew you could carry that many bottles of wine at once?! Wine was very nice and the charcuterie board was great. We started out as the only ones in the tasting room which was great. Would definitely recommend and to guarantee a tasting make an appointment on Tock.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Paumanok Vineyard and it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. Prior to our visit, we had booked the package tasting, which turned out to be a brilliant decision. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the staff who guided us to our outdoor seating area. The view was absolutely stunning, with lush vineyards stretching out before us. It provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and enjoyable wine tasting session. The package tasting included four different wines, each with its own unique character and flavor profile. Accompanying the wines was a delightful snack platter that perfectly complemented the flavors of the wines. Overall, my visit to Paumanok Vineyard was an absolute delight. The combination of exceptional wines, a stunning view, delicious snacks, and attentive staff made it an experience to remember.

Went as a group of 10 for a Bachelorette weekend in the area, and we were not disappointed! Called the day before to make a reservation and they were able to seat us on time. The tasting room is not large (maybe seats 40ish people), but the OUTSIDE... adorable. We of course had a cold/rainy weekend, so outside was not an option, but there was covered and uncovered deck areas, as well as maybe 2 dozen Adirondack chairs out in the grass; overlooking the vineyard. The meat/cheese board was delicious, as well as the 4 wines included in our tasting. The bottles were reasonably priced (18-30 each), and multiple girls bought some to take home! As far as family-friendly goes (I have 2 kids so I am always wondering this in reviews), I would say if it is mild weather and you can be outside, yes; let the kids run around. Inside is way too small, and there are not activity areas for kids to post up at (coloring corner, games, kid-sized table, etx). But outside you can setup a blanket in the grass or something like that :)

Such a great experience specifically with the hospitality received from Alyssa. She shared which wines are best for each mood...advised on the tasty snack choices. We were pleasantly surprised by the lavender fennel choice. I came with the intention of just tasting wine and left with a bottle. Love it - The view & the wine = everything.

Lovely vineyard! I believe you have to book in advance for a wine tasting, but we stopped by in the late afternoon for a quick glass of wine. Last pour is at 4pm, and the vineyard closes at 5. Dogs and babies aren't allowed in the tasting room, but they are allowed in the outdoor seating area, which is set up with picnic tables and lounge chairs with umbrellas to keep out the sun. We had our 4 month old baby and dog with us, and we split a bottle of Chenin Blanc (a little tart, green apple-y, sweet, but on the dry side), which was perfect for the warm weather. Looking out into the vineyard with a light breeze and a cold glass of white wine... Perfection.

We had such a great afternoon at Paumanok Vineyards! There was a group of us and we were able to get a nice big table out on the deck overlooking the vineyard. More friends came to join us and the staff was so accommodating! They quickly went in to get folding chairs for the rest of our party! Our waitress Justine was sweet and friendly and very knowledgeable about all of the wines. Some people ordered flights to try different suggested wines, but I ordered a bottle of my very favorite Festival Chardonnay! We ordered cheeses and meats with a nice baguette and even had the oysters which were fresh, cold and delicious. Justine explained that they were local and shucked to order! Although she was very busy, Justine even agreed to take a selfie with our table. We had a wonderful experience and I think everyone should go try the delicious local wines and wonderful service that Paumanok has to offer!

It is quite a drive along Long Island to get there but it is worth it. Very nice place, friendly staff and a gorgeous place to sip some wine, look at the vineyard and enjoy the sunset.

Great vineyard to visit with family and friends. Excellent selection of wines and snacks. Plenty of heat indoor seating. Highly recommend vineyard to visit when traveling out on the east end of Long Island. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Pleasant unplanned road stop yielded a nice sit-down experience with friends to enjoy one bottle of wine during a cold day in their spacious room overlooking the vast field of the vineyard. Great stop along the way to whatever plans you made for the evening.

Came for one of that Sunset Fridays with some friends. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was nice, the food was good, and the wines were good (really enjoyed the cab franc!) Only disappointment was that it was unclear what was on sale as part of the Sunset Fridays. It said at the top of the wine list that there were $8 glasses of festival wine, but nowhere on the wine list did any of the wines have festival in the name, so we wrongly assumed it was a discounted price for all of the wines for those special Fridays. We were surprised when we realized that each of our glasses were actually $14-16 instead. Wish that had been more clearly described.

Been going there for many years. The Massoud family under the guidance of Charles and Ursula Massoud are truly beautiful people. All their wine is terrific. I’ve done 4 wine cruises with them, a number of hours both at the winery and on the wine cruises in Europe .You can’t find nicer and sincere people anywhere. Please, do yourselves a favor, if you like wine check them out in Aguabouge, LI. Enjoy 🍷🍷🍷🍷❤️🍷

If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. The wine is high quality but what really makes the experience is the staff. Everyone was so kind, attentive, thoughtful, and helpful. We mostly talked to Erica who is just a wonderful person. The view is also very calming. It’s not difficult to reach.

Lovely winery taking great COVID precautions (temperature checks, half capacity, spaced out tables, sanitizing stations every few feet, everyone wearing masks) You need to make a reservation on their website and prepay $28/person then $2 of that is a fee and $26 gets applied to your bill when you’re there. We all had the festival tasting flight, the chardonnay and rosé were standouts to me. The servers were very nice and even did research to help us find a local beach to go to afterwards

Great selection of wines and very friendly staff. My wife really loves their semi-dry Riesling. We pick up a bunch whenever we're out this way.

Today this winery saved the day after a horrible experience at another winery close by we were welcome without reservations by a very funny n friendly receptionist. We already felt welcomed. Then Danielle our server greeted us n was very knowledgeable about your wines she was endearing we told her thank u n we already r fans. We had a glass of wine n oysters that were so fresh n delicious. Thank u for making our day n erasing our bad taste from our earlier experience.

An amazingly unexpected journey! Well worth the trip. Special thanks to our server Tammy Glow! We had such specific taste and Tammy nailed it. We left with a few cases and joined the wine club. Thank you Tammy for a great evening!

Great location, great variety of wines that they are making them on the site. Awesome deck to spend some great times with friends and have a sip of the wine. Definitely I will go back there for some nice time.

We are new locals visiting for the first time yesterday to try the red wine based on great online reviews. We were seated outside and the bees were unrelenting. We could not enjoy the wine we purchased and ultimately decided to leave as one of us has a bee allergy. Others around us left or relocated to the limited indoor seating.
