My
sister
and
I
planned
a
Father's
Day
outing
to
RGNY
and
we
were
so
grateful
to
have
been
able
to
make
a
reservation.
This
was
our
first
time
visiting
RGNY
and
we
were
looking
forward
to
enjoying
wine,
some
snacks,
and
the
beautiful
atmosphere.
We
were
initially
seated
inside
and
our
server
was
wonderful.
I
am
sorry
to
not
have
asked
for
her
name
because
she
was
attentive,
patient,
and
explained
the
menu
to
us.
After
we
paid
our
tab,
my
family
and
I
decided
to
head
outside
to
explore
the
grounds
and
play
some
corn
hole
we
noticed
as
we
were
first
arriving.
This
is
where
our
experience
was
unfortunately
soured
for
us.
My
family
and
I
found
a
corn
hole
spot
and
we
were
looking
for
the
bean
bags.
I
had
said
out
loud
to
my
sister,
"Oh,
there
aren't
any
bean
bags!"
And
a
server,
an
older
woman
with
straight
blonde
hair
was
passing
by
us
and
explained
how
we
needed
to
leave
our
drivers
license
with
the
hostess
to
obtain
the
bean
bags
because
as
she
explained,
some
patrons
in
the
past
had
stolen
them.
This
was
fine
and
we
followed
through
and
played
some
corn
hole.
As
we
were
playing
corn
hole,
my
father,
who
is
disabled,
was
sitting
at
a
picnic
table
adjacent
to
where
we
were
playing.
This
same
woman,
came
up
to
us
and
rudely
asked
us
why
we
were
sitting
at
the
table.
We
were
very
confused
and
she
kept
asking
"Did
you
pay
inside?"
"Did
you
have
a
reservation?"
"Were
you
inside
drinking?"
I
then
explained
that
we
were
originally
inside,
we
paid
our
tab,
and
then
came
out
here
to
enjoy
the
weather.
Then
the
server
continued
to
be
very
rude
and
accusatory
explained
that
in
order
to
sit
"anywhere
outside"
we
needed
a
reservation
as
every
table
was
considered
table
service.
Unfortunately,
I
did
not
grab
this
woman's
name,
but
she
was
very
condescending,
uninformative,
and
did
not
clarify
the
policies
the
winery
has
in
place
in
regards
to
table
service,
reservations,
etc.
My
mother
approached
the
hostess
stationed
by
the
tasting
room
to
ask
for
more
clarification
because
as
I
mentioned
earlier,
my
father
is
disabled
and
would
have
liked
to
sit
down
to
enjoy
his
Father's
Day
experience.
The
hostess
(I
believe
she
had
red
hair
and
looked
to
be
about
in
her
20s)
was
very
kind
and
cleared
up
any
confusion
we
had.
So
because
we
were
done
eating
and
weren't
going
to
order
more
food,
my
sister,
husband,
and
I
played
corn
hole
while
my
mother
and
father
stood
by
the
barrels
finishing
their
wine.
This
was
our
first
time
visiting
RGNY.
We
visit
wineries
often
and
have
our
favorite
spots,
however
we
wanted
to
try
someplace
new.
I
myself
have
had
the
pleasure
of
working
as
a
server
at
a
couple
of
wineries
on
the
North
Fork
in
previous
years.
I
can
assure
you
that
in
my
training
and
during
my
tenure
at
these
wineries,
in
no
way
would
a
rude,
condescending,
and
abrasive
attitude
towards
patrons
would
be
tolerated.
I
urge
management
to
either
remove
this
server
from
working
directly
with
patrons
or
to
have
her
participate
in
additional
training.
No
other
employee
we
encountered
at
RGNY
that
day
had
an
attitude
anywhere
near
as
unpleasant
as
this
server.
To
anyone
who
got
this
far
into
reading
my
review,
thank
you.
And
I
urge
you
to
pass
RGNY
and
enjoy
yourself
at
the
many
other
wineries
available,
as
I've
never
had
any
type
of
negative
experience
at
other
establishments.
And
as
a
last
statement,
nowhere
on
the
RGNY
website
does
it
explain
this
reservation
policy,
and
no
where
at
the
establishment
itself,
nor
on
the
menu
does
it
explain
this
policy
as
well.
So
just
an
FYI,
if
you
go
here,
you
need
a
reservation
to
literally
sit
down
anywhere
on
the
grounds.
