We spent my 50th birthday here, and I can't think of a better place to spend it. The staff were friendly and amazingly accomodating. The rooms were comfortable and very clean, and the staff went out of their way to ensure extra steps around covid-19. The food at the Sunken Fish was also amazingly tasty. The presentation and preparation of every meal we tried out on their menu was very nice. Each meal was delightful, and we tried almost everything on the menu. The portions are large and we ended up splitting some of the dishes during our stay. We picked their all inclusive dive package and we're not disappointed. We each got two amazing dives a day, all within minutes of the resort. We got to see uncountable amounts of interesting aquatic life, a shipwrecks, and even assisted in lion fish hunting which the kitchen made into ceviche for us! The dive shop (Sea Divers) worked flawlessly with the Tranquilseas resort. In addition Tranquilseas coordinated exquisite massages and our various trips around the island to West End, the mangroves(old Port Royal) and the French Harbor. Everything was quite affordable and the suggestion around bringing lots of crisp $20 bill came in really handy for the various tours. We will definitely be back to this resort. It has helped us fall in love with Roatan and all of it's friendly people.

Didn’t stay, but the atmosphere is absolutely fantastic and wish we had! The rooms are dispersed throughout the multi layer complex, the bar is friendly and inviting, cute places to sit for lunch, and there is yoga on the top floor overlooking the water. If you’re looking to concentrate on diving, this spot is the absolute best decision. But everyone is welcome and it’s a super short taxi from west end. They also have a private beach area away from crowds.

I stayed at Tranquilseas in March 2023 (we stayed in the Scarlet Macaw room). I could not have asked for a better place for a vacation. Our journey to get to Roatan was rather eventful - our flight was delayed, we got stuck in Houston, and I got super sick (thankfully not COVID). When we arrived at Tranquilseas, the first thing Jordan said to me was, "All you need to do now is relax!" Really, that's what I did for an entire week. Our room was so beautiful - we had an amazing view and the room itself was perfect. The food was delicious, and the entire waitstaff was incredibly kind and chatty. I can't personally speak to the diving, but my spouse was thrilled with the dive trips he took. If we needed anything, Jordan and Eli were very accommodating. They even rearranged our stay because of our delay in Houston! Truly, we wanted for very little there. This was the first true vacation I've taken in a few years, and I am so glad that we stayed at Tranquilseas. The accommodations and location are great, but the best part was really the staff. I can't overstate the kindness of every person who works there. I can't wait to book another trip to stay! Also! Shout out to Tatiana for a very relaxing massage! Book one with her while you're there, folks!

Had a fantastic scuba vacation here. The dive shop is attached to the resort and the dive masters were very flexible in what dives we wanted to do and what times, not to mention very personable and friendly. All our dives were a 2-7min boat ride from the dock- amazing! You can also swim 200m from the dock and get mind-blowing snorkeling at a reef filled with wildlife. It was very easy to find our way back because of the easily recognizable cabana at the end of the resort dock. The restaurant Sunken Fish had very good food and drinks as well as an attentive service staff; as resort guests we always had a table reserved for us. The servers remembered our frequently ordered drinks and entrees for every meal and made each of us feel valued and remembered, as well as recommended similar menu items they thought we might enjoy! During the week I was given the opportunity for yoga by the water and it was a great combination of stability, mobility and strength that left me feeling very rejuvenated. Will definitely be going back here again next time I plan a scuba and snorkel trip. I attached a photo of our view for dinner every night

We LOVED our time here! The resort is in such a peaceful area, tucked away from the touristy part of the island. Having only a few rooms on the property makes your stay incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The food and drinks were consistently amazing. The staff was one of the best parts. By the end of your first day, you’ll know each other by first name basis. They take the time to really go above and beyond for their guests. We can’t wait to come back one day. You won’t regret your stay here!

I have to say, this was the best part of our two-week Costa Rica/Honduras adventure. Echoing what everyone else has already said - stunning grounds, amazingly comfortable rooms, BEST STAFF EVER, incredible drinks and food, magical dock for having a few beers and watching the sun set/cruise ships depart, AND THE HOUSE REEF IS WHERE YOU NEED TO SNORKEL. Seriously. We went to a few of the other recommended spots (per Google searching) on the island and they paled, PALED in comparison to the house reef. Caveat is you absolutely must pick your way through the front half of the reef (find a waypoint on shore so you can come back to it) since large portions come up to the low tide line and you can't swim over that. But if you pick your way through the labyrinth, on the back half it opens up to pristine coral reef (mainly hard, some soft) with abundant and healthy fish populations. And a visibility clear down to the bottom, 60-80' in some sections. It was otherworldly and the best snorkeling we've done to date. So stay here - everything is exactly what you need it to be (staff, rooms, grounds, food/drinks) and if you're up for a little bit of a swim and some adventure in finding your way to the back of the house reef, you can easily cruise around for hours taking in the underwater majesty surrounding you. We'll be back here, without a doubt. Extra special shout out to Harry! He went above and beyond in taking care of us every day and was a genuinely nice guy. If you're heading down, take him some Jolly Ranchers!

Beautiful diving, incredible dive masters, good food, and immaculate vibes. Everyone on staff is friendly and the service (including diving, restaurant, front office, housekeeping) was personal and outstanding. The only reason I'm not giving shout outs by name is that I'd be mentioning everyone who works there. We didn't have a single experience or interaction that was less than positive the whole time we were there. On the diving side, my wife and I both took scuba classes and found the instruction to be excellent. All diving was well organized and safety oriented. Their rental equipment is good quality and well maintained. Highly recommend this place and we're hoping to come back next year.

Very Beautiful resort. Our villa is geogeous. We chose the dragonfly which is perfect for a honeymoon and has the best view in the entire resort. All inclusive and great food with friendly and welcoming staff. They also have 24 hour security with a gated entrance. They are very helpful with finding you safe and reliable transportation. This resort offers diving and you can snorkel right off their beautiful private dock. We would definitely vacation here again.

If you want a quiet, private place to enjoy Roatan, and particularly if you want to get in some great diving, stay here. The Octopus room is great for a family of 4-6 (3 beds in 2 rooms), the food is great and affordable, and the staff is friendly. You'll get to know pretty much all the staff members, and you might catch the owners there as well - they spend a lot of time there. Our kids loved Harry the waiter/bartender and he was great with them. (our son still plays online games with him, ha). We had a great experience with all the Scuba staff - Velvet and Kyle led most of our dives. David is the head bartender and he was always friendly and ready to make a quick drink. Jordan is the hotel manager. He does a great job keeping the place in great shape, and will personally take you on a tour (it's quick, because the place is small) and make sure you have what you need. All of the staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was easy and enjoyable, and recommend other places for us to go while on the island. We visited a couple of the West Bay resorts and even spent a couple evenings in the West End. Our visit to those other resorts confirmed that we had chosen well with Tranquilseas! For diving, this is an easy dive trip. Show up with or without your own equipment. Either way, they manage it for you: the boat leaves from the dock in front, and the staff will get your gear ready on the boat so you never have to lug it around. Stumble out of your room in the morning, grab breakfast (included) , and go on any of the 9 AM, 11 AM, and 2 PM dives with your gear all ready on the boat and expert divemasters and captains ready to make it easy and enjoyable. Tips for Tranquilseas: bring your own sunscreen and bug spray. They sell eco-friendly versions that we didn't love. But do use their reef-friendly sunscreen when you dive or snorkel. They will provide each guest a reusable water bottle and 5-gallon water bottle chillers in each room so no need to bring water bottles. Bring untorn, clean US currency. Everyone prefers USD (though many places take credit cards too) - but you can't get it from the ATMs (which only dispense Lempira). Tips are appreciated in any currency - but taxis, tours, some smaller West End shops and bars, hair braiders, etc. prefer US cash and will actually charge more for Credit Cards or Lempira. There's not a ton for kids to do after they've snorkeled, swum in the pool, kayaked and paddle-boarded. My kids liked hanging out and reading, but we wish we had brought a couple of games for them to play to keep them off devices.

Great relaxing place on Roatan just a few minutes North of West End. The staff really make this place, needs some updating for the price, but all around, enjoyed my stay.

Our week at Tranquilseas was absolutely perfect! The staff is amazing and super helpful. The food was great! Our room was beautiful and well designed. There's gorgeous views. The dive shop was easy to work with and there's snorkeling right off the dock. Just a quick 5 min ride to the West End if you want a change of pace. Honestly highly recommend staying here to anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable stay close to the action but not right on top of it.

Absolutely brilliant! A fantastic week in this tropical paradise, hosted by a wonderfully attentive staff who knew us by name. Jordan took great care of us, gave us great advice on what to do and took care of making arrangements for our activities. Snorkeling by the dock was fantastic and so calm, no waves or any current. I swam out to the reef a couple times, without flippers it was a good 10-15 minutes out there. We stayed in the Scarlet Macaw room, which was probably the nicest hotel room I’ve ever been in. Air conditioning worked great, as it was hot in late August. West End is a $2/pp taxi ride, and we took the water taxi to West Bay Beach. Incredible snorkeling there, the reef is a little closer. It was an excellent trip, I highly recommend this property and their wonderful staff!!

Gorgeous resort right on the beach! We stayed here the week before Labor Day weekend and it was quiet and exactly what we were looking for to relax and explore the island. Jordan and the staff are wonderful with recommendations, helping book excursions, etc. Our room was beautiful as is the rest of the property. We loved all trees and flowers surrounding the resort and the restaurant on site. You can swim right off the dock and see some pretty amazing fish with your snorkeling gear. At the end of the day we loved to relax on the second story of the dock watching the sunset.

My review is only based on the food since I didn't stay at tranquil seas or did diving, this is an Eco-Lodge place where you can stay and dive. Now, a local friend brought us over since I told him I want it great food with a view and Tranquilseas delivers. The place is beautiful, totally open and full of vegetation with the view of the beach and sea, the chairs and tables have wood designs, you feel so relaxed at this place. The food was delicious and prices were good, we went late afternoon and the chef was nice to us and let us order the dinner menu. Really enjoy this place, I recommend you dine there when in Roatan.

My husband and I loved this place! A small lodge with 7 cabana's made the experience more personal and we got to know the very friendly staff. We were collected and dropped off at the airport and the whole weekend was stress free. The visiting dog (lucky) and cat were an added bonus! Very lovable. I couldn't fault our stay there and would love to go back and explore some more of the island.

We didn't stay here, but used this place as our meetup for 2 groups who did different activities that day. We had drinks and lunch at The Sunken Fish (on-site) and relaxed ocean front with a view! The jerk chicken lettuce wraps are amazing, the seafood salad was killer and even the kids chicken strips were on point! Very friendly service, plenty of places to sit, restrooms just up the path. It has me curious about staying here, it's a beautiful place!

Paradise! Out stay was amazing thanks to the staff and the amazing hotel. The restaurant has superb views and the staff is so friendly. We went diving and had a great experience. I’m so glad I picked this hotel. Location is great close to everything but quiet at the same time. We loved absolutely everything about this hotel and would recommend to everyone. We traveled with our three years old who for the first time loved a hotel. Will be back!

I choose this hotel for my group of seven ladies for my bachelorette trip. It was so perfect, I couldn’t ask for it to go any better. The staff for the hotel and restaurant were the kindest, sweetest people. They helped us book transportation, day trips, and gave us lots of advice. The hotel is small, beautiful, and beachfront. We loved snorkeling next to the dock. We were able to see lots of sea life, including an eel. The breakfast food included is delicious and we ate a few times at the restaurant for other meals because it was good and convenient. The rooms were beautiful but the outdoor spaces are the most incredible. There’s great views of sunset in the evening and live music on some nights. I would recommend staying here to everyone

👍👍 Not just chocolate! They now do breakfast... and lunchtime Indian Food specials at great prices (might have bought the entire Indian Food menu to take home on the ferry to Utila -- was not disappointed, will do it again). Many reasons to stop by. Conveniently located on the main strip in West End...

👍 Restaurant is right on the beach. It also has a view of the beach and a grocery store on the lower level. The food was ok. The rice and chicken could have used a little more seasoning.
