Love this spot for rock climbing and bouldering. Four stars only because it falls a bit short in comparison to the quantity available at the next door Mohonk Preserve (the Gunks). Fewer high quality roped routes at the upper grades especially. Some great boulder problems though.

Great hike with a rewarding experience at the end. Falls were flowing with the past rains and the substation on the premise is simply a must see for people who enjoy history and abandoned buildings.

A great place to go hiking or climbing. The only down side is that it costs money because it is privately owned land. Glad the money at least goes to nature preservation.

Mossy glen and blue berry run are my go to, but sometimes the Awosting lots are full so I park here and walk the connector path to that area. Never had a problem parking here. We were staying in the area for the week and after we got in our usual day trip hikes, we decided to explore this area properly. Loved the yellow and red trails along the creeks. These areas seemed newly maintained. Lots of Waterfalls and swimming holes and not too crowded even on a peak July Saturday. The upper trail has a great vista however the rear was just so so- you can see and hear the cars/road. However, we will probably revisit it to connect to other areas in the future. Lots of Minnewaska’s signature blueberry bushes so it’s likely to be gorgeous/eerie in the fall when they turn red. Just another reason to love this Park!

A great place for climbers to learn/practice various anchoring skills and escape the big weekend crowds. Especially suited for those mainly interested in toproping/those who are not equipped to trad.

Great hiking trails that reward your sweat with great views of both the Catskill range and the creek that bisected the park
