This is a fantastic museum !! Watch the movie of the Mayo brothers and you will learn about why their medical care was so advanced. The pioneer cabin in the back and school house were excellent. They show how hard our pioneer ancestors in the area had it. The women’s suffrage exhibit there now was very educational and inspiring. Whoever set it up did an excellent job.

Really good local history museum and resource center. They also have information on tours outings in and around the county a few times per month to go the eagle center in Winona, or to a nearby regional or state park to learn some skill, or something like that. They have databases and historical documents for family history research. I plan to join as a member, actually, and look forward to returning often in the spring and summer to see some of the living history activities, including a baseball diamond where they play baseball "the rules in use in the 1920s".

Place was pretty sick. The museum was small but interesting. And I definitely respect the rotating exhibits. What stood out to me was the well kept historical schoolhouse and the cabin on site. Which are kept under a key obtained from the front dest. These buildings seem very original and have many original objects in the room. They just seemed mostly undisturbed, and it really helped me feel immersed in the experience. There might’ve been a wasp nest in the cabin though! Just to prove how real it is.. I enjoyed pretending to be a pioneer 😂. 10/10 and there were amazing flower gardens 💅 Its also free for the summer! Sponsored by somebody. Great deal if you ask me.

Jazzercise held an outside Pop Up class on Saturday at 9:00am. The pavilion worked very well, spacious, easy to access, and a wonderful space for social distancing. Thank you HCOC for providing this space to exercise!

Great Landscape and parking. The front desk lady was very knowledgeable about all the Olmsted History. She helped explain some confusing stuff. The museum has a lot of Olmsted County history from Pre-historic times of mammals to current fight of the LGBQ people in Olmsted.

We were here for an event hosted by our real estate company! Didn't get to enjoy all the history center offered but the event area was very nice.

The History center is closed on Mondays. We did the Tolley tour from there. The tour was very good.
